Bubble and Squeak is sold here as a frozen vegetable. I've used it with eggs for breakfast in the past. |

A mixture of leftover cabbage, potatoes, fried together, sometimes with bacon? |

So do I Sue, I think the idea was to use up left overs of mashed potatoe and cabbage. But I make it in it's own right, adding some chopped bacon, and a little onion, then fry till golden brown - delicious. |

I must go and have a quick look around the other chat boards, then get on with the day. Hasn't it been quiet on the boards lately? |

It's many years since I've had Bubble and Squeak ( the name is supposed to have come from the sound the mixture makes as it is frying) |

Hello James - or is it Liz? Welcome to the 'funny farm'. We have a mixture of Pommies and Aussies (and a Kiwi too, when she gets back to us!) and anyone from anywhere else is welcome to join us. You will need to read through our posts (although we don't expect you to read all of them now that there are 243 pages of them), but we talk about anything and everything; funny or sad; we laugh with each other and do our best to be there when support is needed too, so I hope you will join us. Don't be afraid to ask where we are - I think that's how the thread started - and it just grew - but we keep getting new friends joining us. |

Hi, Berona. You posted as I was slowly typing and drinking coffee. Have you had a nice day? The weather has been changeable today but at least OH was able to cut the grass. It was looking very untidy. |

Hello again Sue. My brother came to see me too, but didn't stay long and my daughter's family are still away, so my day was reasonably quiet. |

Berona - the jumping around is very annoying. I usually type my reply in Microsoft Office and then copy and paste into the reply box. There might be an easier way but it works for me. |
