Missed a lot of this and had not realised Joyce was coming to UK. I do hope she does as she promised and gets to see a doctor while here. Also hope she can help sort out the problems with her DiL, as if she doesn't have enough to contend with. Thinking of her and hoping she is OK. Also thinking of you caz and hoping you can get some alleviation from your pain.

Seems it's not going to plan, I thought her friends son had made her an appointment but she can't get in, she is having to ring around for a doctor. It's something I never thought of and feel guilty now for not checking with her.
Joyce is not feeling very well at moment, I don't know why, if it's pain she usually says so, she pm'd instead of phoned so couldn't ask.
I slept all afternoon, went out like a light but feel very groggy so going for another cuppa.

Surely if she doesn't feel well she should be able to get an emergency appointment.

Oh dear, I thought that Dutch would have seen the doctor by now. Like you Caz, I thought that her friends son, had already made an appointment for her.
As Ann said, with Dutch not feeling very well, couldn't they have given her an emergency appointment. Or they could try NHS Direct. I hope she will be able to see a doctor soon.

Hope you are feeling less groggy after your cuppa, Caz. I find that if I sleep heavily, I wake up feeling really groggy.
Hope your arm is feeling less painful than it's been. Take care!
Thanks for letting us know about Dutch.
Speak soon.

Sallie.

I too spoke with Dutch last evening, and she is going to try and get registered with a doctor today, she has to contact NHS and hopefully they will find her one. Her friend's son couldn't get her an apptmt with his doctor as she isn't registered there. I told her (hoping I wasn't talking anything up lol) to go to the hospital, pretending she had had a fall and say that it keeps happening and she has all these pains all the time etc, then they might check her over and give her some answers or guidance as to what to ask her doctor in Holland about. Dutch is worried about so many things at the mo so the stress is probably causing a lot of the pain, maybe she is tensed up a lot - I know I get bad headaches etc as I tense up, sometimes with bad dreams, when I sleep instead of relax and then I wake up stiff and sore.
We will have to hope now she has finished all her shopping lol, she will rest a bit more before her return to Holland with her granddaughter and her boyfriend. At least she will have someone to carry everything and help her on the journey back.

Caz, sorry I disturbed you but hope you will feel better tomorrow.

Well I have just read through a lot of this thread and I realise it is supposedly a support thread but honestly ladies if I wasn't suicidal when I started I certainly am now.

Surely there must be some happiness, joy and light in your lives.

Why don't you try and lift the mood a little instead of just detailing one complaint after another.

There said my piece and I'll leave you all to wallow in gloom and doom.

Jean.

Had a quick phone call from Dutch, she is in hospital waiting for an x-ray on her wrist. She was crossing the road and talking to her friend and didn't see the kerb, tripped up and fell flat with her arm under her, her bracelet was embedded in her wrist and she can't move her fingers. Also she has chest pains from when she fell.
I will hear more tonight and let you know.

It was me who deleted, I said why I can't move my arm anymore, the cause, and it hurts to type so will not be adding much. I'm hoping Liz will keep you up to date as I don't feel like putting anything else on this thread at moment.

I'm truly sorry you're not feeling well Caz and hope you are feeling better soon. Truly Dutch is a walking disaster area - is it for real? I can't believe someone can be so careless if they are prone to falls yet is still able to phone and report on yet another accident.

Speak later.

Glad your wrist has not been broken - although I bet it hurts. You take care and enjoy the rest of your stay in UK with your family and friends.

Caz - hope your arm will soon be better - you take care too.

SueMaid, Joyce didn't ring to report another accident, I did. Joyce rang me for company as she had been sat in the hospital since nine o-clock and was bored and scared. This thread is for her friends and I let them know how she is doing.

Sallie and Mary, thanks for caring but my arm will only get worse, I've accepted it now, I tried to explain this morning what was wrong and why I wouldn't be on much but think I was accused of being a doom and gloom merchant, so deleted.

Caz xx

Purple **^*Sparkly*^** Diamond Report 14 Jul 2009 19:24

Caz, please try to come back and explain about your arm, when you can, no one forces Jean or anyone who doesn't like the thread, to read it! It started out as a thread about Caz and Dutch, and has continued in that vein with a few additions, no problem to me and I started the thread.
We all know how accident prone Dutch is, but I do feel bad as I suggested she go to the hospital pretending she had had a fall so that they checked her out, cos she could have said it was due to the pains in her legs!
Joyce, you wally, I didn't mean for you to do it for real, I did say I wasn't trying to tempt fate! I am glad you haven't broken anything, can't imagine what Jan has said or haven't you told him. I bet you didn't have that stick with you either did you? You have to stop rushing about so much, and use your stick, that's an order!
And tell that new doctor everything, let him try and sort you out if he can lol

Liz thank you for telling me I don't have to read the thread. That bit of knowledge will hold me in good stead and believe me I won't be reading it again as I can do without all the moaning, groaning and depression.

Caz... this is not aimed at you at all.... I realise how ill you are and I sympathise with you and wish you nothing but to get well.

To the rest of you all I will say is you are not doing your friend Joyce any favours by constantly extending sympathy in my opinion... she so obviously thrives on this.

Why don't you all laugh and joke and make this thread lighthearted and a nice place to visit and chat.

Most of us on here suffer in one way or another but we don't all moan and waffle on every day about our aches and pains.

Who was it said ...laugh and the world laughs with you, cry and you cry alone.

Jean.
