I LOVED Life on Mars but couldn't quite get into Ashes to Ashes. Somehow Genie and co just don't fit in 1980's London - they're Mancunians heart and soul and were brilliant in Life on Mars. I quite like Keely whatsit but not in this role!

P.S. Of course if there wasn't going to be a 3rd series, what would happen in this finale is that Bols would get shot dead, but somehow morph into Muffs. Muffs would wake up (miraculously fully recovered) with the Gene Genie standing over her, having just fired up the Quattro, and he'd say, "stop pratting about will you, Muffs, and get in", and he'd wrap his big overcoat around her and they'd roar off through the deserted streets of London, off to start a new life somewhere.
And they'd live happily ever after................

Not sure Mau..........Gene didn't chase Sam around when he woke up did he? lololol.

Think it's tricky as I think Alex would find it hard to leave Molly.......sam was disenchanted with the modern world.......Alex has too much to stay for.

Can't even imagine where it's going to go but I'm happy to sit back and enjoy the ride xx

She does have a lot to stay for, I agree.
But....she will want to help Gene clear his name I'm certain. After all, everyone heard him say to Bols, following on from the argument in his office - I'll shoot you if I have to.
Not looking good for the Gene Genie, there were no witnesses at the scene when Bols got shot.
