Good morning all

Thank you so much for all your messages, and yes Taff I did have a good cry when I was on my own. Daughter looks ok this morning OH has just picked her up and brought her to our place.

I hope for daughters sake that the next few days go very quickly !

Hello,

I am sorry to hear your news.

But at least , your daughter and family know in advance
that a c-section is necessary.

It is far worse for an emergency c-section after hours of labour.

All that matters is that Mum is well and baby arrives safely.

Just came on and heard the news, upsetting news for your daughter but at least the baby's ok and you will all have time to get your thoughts together and plan for Monday, will be thinking of you all and join everybody in wishing your daughter and her partner all the best ,
will pop in now & again to see how every thing is going along.

Try and get as much rest as you can now, TWG, at least you won't be listening out for the phone to ring during the night.
I'm sure it's a disappointment for your daughter but she has a date now and can prepare herself mentally over the next few days.
I had an emergency c-section with my eldest daughter but was able to give birth naturally with my second and don't mind admitting that during labour kept pleading for them for them to perform another caesarian . . . . .

TWG, Can't add any more to what has already been said. Little one is obviously determined to make a grand entrance with a date now booked. Try and rest and as Whirley says you at least know baby is well. sad for your daughter not to have a natural birth, important that she knows it is not a failure. We shall now look forward to Monday, or at least everyone else will, unfortunately I will be in the Lake District and will not have any internet access as far as I know.

TWG.......I do hope that your daughter can get a bit of rest ( and indeed all of you ) . I'm sorry to hear that baby is breach .
I'm sure that once Monday is here you will all be so relieved .

Good evening all,,, what a day, took daughter to see mid-wife at Caerphilly,,, daughter was examined and scanned,,,, baby is breach ! Had to dash down to Newport there for 6 hours, she is booked in for c section Monday ! I feel so gutted for her, she is totally shattered ! Have just fed and watered her OH taking her and her partner home and she is going to bed she is trying her hardest not to cry, she is not the only one. Sorry I can't give you all better news, you have all been so supportive and Whirley has been mothering me lol bless her.

Can't really offer any constructive advice, as 2 of mine were born upside down....the baby that is, not me.
