Morning everyone.
Are we still paceing the floor waiting for this baby, poor TWG daughter must be fed up by now hope she gets some good advice from her midwife.
I'm just thinking I have all this to go through at the end of August when my daughter's baby is due. I will need more than a bottle of wine to knock me out at night, (after the wine the hot flushes will kick in anyway)
Daughter doesn't want me at the birth says I'll be doing all the shouting at her to stop swearing, LOL !!!!
mind you don't know if I could cope with watching her in pain. SIL will be there for support and my other daughter has offered to keep them company to.
SIL mother hopes to come over at the end of august from Italy hopefully in time for the birth so the two granny's will keep each other company , my OH will have to be there because I can't speak Italian and she can't speak much English, just a load of hand waving lol!!!

Morning Daff
Raw please, def not marmite . . . !
Taff must be enjoying herself down the cellar - wonder how many full bottles are left . . . . . lol
Maybe TWG could do with a bottle or two, to help her sleep at night.
No, forget that, must be sober to be a birth partner so better she doesn't go down cellar to join Taff!!

Morning Mair... marmite or raw (as one of my boys used to say, lol) I think the wine was sent down into the basement for Taff ;¬)) Haven't heard from her since, so she must still be down there, lololol

No sign? Well, my advice would be for all you adults to get as much rest as you can, while you can... cos this little darling will most likely keep you all on your toes once he/she is here!!

I'll pop in later to get an update....... tea and toast, anyone?

good professional advice from Tania there. I do hope the bath relaxes her. that little one is so snug and warm he/she just is not ready to face the world just yet. How lovely to have this thread to look back on later though.

If you have time can I suggest you C&P it so far in case it disappears as threads have a habit of doing.

Keeping your daughter in my thoughts

Have just sent her home with orders to have a nice hot bath and get an early night, she agreed for a change lol. Seeing mid-wife in the morning, wonder what she will say now ! Considering she said that daughter would go early ! lol

Hi TWG
by the time this wee girl of yours has her baby she is going to be knackered.
If she were one of my patients I would tell her to have a hot bath take 2 panadol and go to bed, with as many hot water bottles and pillows that it requires to be comfortable
She needs to completely ignore this early pain she is having.
stop timing it or even paying attention to it.
When she is in labour it will switch intensity and she will notice the differrence meanwhile hopefully you can all get a kip.
If she is exhausted before she even starts she will have no reserves at all when she needs them.

Good evening all, sorry on late tonight, had visitors,,, no not that sort,,,, well pains are still there but nothing else happening, daughter is shattered, she has been with me all day and she is going home to have a bath, I still think she will go b4 the week end or maybe that is wishful thinking eh ! thanks for all the messages, can't wait to print all this thread out, daughter says she will keep it in baby book, how lovely is that lol.
