Depends which side you were on - however I have to admire him for the speech he made to Westminster - we could do with him now or someone with a backbone who will listen to the people's wishes.

She did a good job - the puppet beside her did not dare shake his head - just kept nodding each time she made a statement and looked at him. It was wonderful - she had him by the short and curlys and I bet he wished he had not entered the hall when she was there!

ChrisofWessex Report 10 May 2009 17:33

Well in Winchester in the Great Hall hangs his round table until a few years ago they tested the wood and reckoned it was around mid 16th century and they have a statue in the square to him.

He did burn the cakes - was he in hiding or was he resting?

Jac

Jac Report 10 May 2009 17:37

Alfred burnt the cakes, not Arthur.

Arthur was a great king - unfortunately his bird did him wrong, with his best mate and that got him into a bit of a state.

Arthur did not venture into the kitchen!))))

~♥footie~angel♥~ Report 10 May 2009 17:45

Jac's right it was defo Alfred who burnt the cakes ~ Arthur was supposedly a king from Camelot x

Jac

Jac Report 10 May 2009 17:48

He surely was Mel - from Camelot! he had nothing to do with the kitchens there - he merely ate the grub prepared for him.

His missus had a roving eye, and had a bit of an affair with old Lancelot which ultimately ended up with her being banished to a Nunnery (OK I know it's Convent but Nunnery sounds so much better)

He had right on is side, but the wrong woman! How often does that happen in our life time? )))
