It is Ann - her sister Christiana is the wife of the head of the house. Although Christiana's p of b is given as Sparkbrook, it's down as Pershore on the 1911. She married William Newey in 1891. I have all the Haywards to look at yet:)))

Thanks for all your help Susan

I hadn't seen that site - thank you, Susan - apart from anything else there are photos of a lot of the churches:)

1891 for Fanny is RG12; Piece: 2512; Folio 26; Page 16 and the 1901 is RG13; Piece: 3002; Folio: 169; Page: 35. She is blind

I think I also have Ann/ Mary Ann - 1891 RG12; Piece: 2412; Folio 71; Page 9 and 1901 RG13; Piece: 2811; Folio: 106; Page: 13.

What is the RG for that David?

I was wondering if the reason the only Corbetts baptised were Mary Ann's, was that to go on the parish the Vicar made those with unbaptised children do so before they were eligible. Would love to see the original registers

EDIT: I take it you have seen this site

Bet yours aren't as scandalous as mine;)

Susan, I don't know why I missed her before but I think you're right. Fanny is in service in Ashby de la Zouche in 1891, marries Harry Parbury in Leicester 1897 and is in Leicestershire with him and a daughter in 1901, with her birthplace exotically mistranscribed as Persia, Worcs

Oh that looks very possible, Susan - did you see that Mary senior and what looks like a sister Harriet are in Pershore Workhouse in 1841?

Well I am going to spill the beans......:-)))))

He married his half sisters daughter .....not that I have found a real live marriage.....just an IGI entry and the only person of her name and age + place of birth in the census, is that of Mary Ann's daughter
