I had to haul the thread back where it belongs:-) The lodger is out tonight so am enjoying the quiet...she leaves tomorrow and bought me a very expensive bottle of perfume, which I really don't like! But it is such a pretty bottle..lol...I shall just leave it there for display purposes. Perfume is a very personal thing I find, or am I just choosy!

Am having a few ex GR lovely folk on Friday, and one friend arrives tomorrow., It will be such a nice respite as have been so busy lately. Doggie seems much better (the expensive Brain Pills are working wonders...tsk) but she still has the alien thingy on her eye.

The weather has been hot and sticky and is even more so right now. I am having a chilled glass of wine and putting my feet up to watch The Wire which I recorded. Yo Mammiddau! If ever I get another dog I shall call her McNulty...lol...

Lovely to speak with you at the weekend, was it the weekend? each day seems to run into the next...lol

I hope your 'bore hole' site is less sore by now. The dentist won't be as bad as you think, although I must admit to not having been for ages but now I am deemed less vulnerable for infection I must make an appointment too.

I have been working on my trees and have had to order certs because my forehead is so bruised from all the head banging.

Had injection number four this afternoon, I have 50% movement now so we are hopeful that I might be able to defuzz the left armpit soon. If not I'll get someone to plait the hair :-)))

He gave me a med cert for 12 months for the insurers (we'll see what they say about that).

If you are hogging the summer could you please send it westwards I'm seriously considering nicking Claire's ark which she is building. If I could tell whether the blasted green things, which are growing like mutants, are weeds in the garden I could ask OH to get rid of them. Trouble is I can't..lol So we'll live with them until aged BIL comes to stay.

Anyway enough waffle. Take good care of yourself.

Morning everyone... just off to the dentist.. sister is taking me, and then we are zooming off to Llandeilo to visit my neice...... yesterday we went to Abergavenny, and had a lovely day.. sister stops being a lady of leisure in a week or so and starts working for a living, I shall miss all this lovely spoiling..... hello daff maybe that is quiet on the boards today so far I have had no bother .

No problems for me with my threads or posting.

~~~~ to all. Yesterday I was convinced I had the flu I felt so rotten. Either that or jet lag as I wouldnt have had more than a couple of hours sleep the previous night and when I tried in the morning while OH was walking with friend I could not sleep and tried again after lunch without any luck. Last night I went to bed early after taking a whole sleeping pill and got about 9 hours sleep so am feeling much less groggy. Still a slight headache but at least I feel as if I can get something done today. Mustnt overdo it though! (Any excuse)

Hi Daff, hope all went well at the dentist for you today. My visitors have gone home, everything seems so quiet now. We had a lovely time-- talked
for Britain-- mind what do you expect when you get five women together.

My brother lives near Abergavenny, so we usually end up going there
when we visit them. You never know we might get to Cardiff one day. That would be great!

Hope you enjoyed your visit to see your niece. You are going to feel a bit lost when your sister goes to work--that's the trouble when you get use to their company.

Have you done anymore scrapbooking? I haven't been able to do any since Ann, Jean and Dee e-mailed some of their pages. What with visitors and other things to do, a bit short on time I'm afraid. I had done some pages but got stuck for ideas.

Hi Daff, you know you really should try to get to see Aberglasney as I bet they have done more work on the house now and there is so much to see there, you would love it and see even more things for your garden lol Even when it poured with rain for our visit, we loved it.

Morning All, Daff have you got all your facilities back on here yet,lol.... I have had no trouble .... J and I went to a lovely area close to where we live and sat out in the hot sun and just read and talked , I had put a picnic up, it was a lovely change for us we havent been anywhere, what with Js op and the rain, it was bliss.......how is the scrapbooking getting on? I have done quite a few new ones, sorted stacks of photos out from way back, so picked out the best and have started a 8X8 book, hope to get some pics of scenery, my fav topic....have a nice weekend .....

Flipping raining here, yet again. I am getting seriously peed off with it now!

Hope you are recovering from your various trials of late Daff: I only wish the weather would change and everyone, but everyone, would feel so much better. I really believe that the weather has such an effect on the morale!

Took myself into Nottingham yesterday for necessary underwear and boy did I have a spending feast! Managed to get two skirts and two pairs of trousers from M & S all for under £30.00 One pair of trousers (Autograph M & S) were reduced from £49.50 down to Nine Quid!!!!! B A R G A I N

Also I got a linen skirt from Debenebubs for £5.40!!!!! Deep joy in the foldiroles!

Now just need the occasions to wear this lot - lol - I usually slob about in jeans and t-shirts. Do people still keep things "for best"?

Anyway, I hope everyone has a lovely weekend, that the weather decides it's punished us enough and that the sun stays out long enough for me to wear my new skirt!

Hiya Maz... I had a bit of a panic then.... I couldn't post a thread nor answer on this one... I thought I'd been sent on holiday and didn't know why, lolol

I had a lovely day yesterday.... had lunch in a lovely little village... not sure where, but it was very nice.... then on to Llandeilo, where we spent the afternoon with my niece and her family.... her two children are a delight!! They had the pool filled with freezing water, but that didn't seem to deter them..... Brrrrrrr!!

The dentist was ok... I have to have another crown, and then a polish.... everything else looks ok, and he has taken me on as an emergency NHS patient, because of the Leukemia...... the list is actually closed, except for emergencies, but he said that they will make an exception for me.

I started this post last night, but my pc was playing up... either that or the site was, and I couldn't get it to stick on the thread, lol

Today, I am going to be doing very little... tomorrow R is going to drag my desk out of the back of the garage.... it is lovely, but it was too big to go into the bedrooms, but it'll be fine in here, and will give me space to have my folders and things all around me and a decent working space.... no space on the dressing table and bedside drawer makeshift (but looks nice!) contraption that I currently use. I have a new printer, but shan't put that up until tomorrow..... then I am going to just to loll around in the garden all day... my mum and dad are popping over later, so I shall do lunch... but as that is the soup that is in the freezer, and some of dad's home made bread, that is all sorted...... Don't you just love it when everything is sorted so easily??

I had a phone call from son last night... he is coming to stay a couple of days earlier than planned... the cats will be sooooooo upset at being evicted from *the usurpers* bedroom.... they have taken it over as their own... along with every other room in the house, I hasten to add.... but all bar Jethro avoid Madam... well, Pol doesn't avoid her... she just looks at son in that way that cats have... haughty indignation, and full expectation of total compliance with regal wishes, even unspoken.... *get this child sorted please* lololol

I am now going to post this... wish me luck!! And then I shall catch up with what everyone has been doing... I just picked up where I left off last night, so haven't read anything... I didn't switch pc off, lol before going to bed... I was too p*****d off with the whole system... even thought I'd been sent to the norty step and didn't know it!!

Hi all, well we are home and now trying to sort everything for this evening when daughter and husband arrive. It is all go!!!

Glad you eventually got the dentist over with daff and it was not so traumatic as you envisaged.

Weatherwise in Exmouth, rain Monday pm, and all day Tuesday. Hot and sunny all day Wednesday, beach crowded. Bright cloudy Thursday, beach still crowded. Hot and sunny today when we left and no doubt the beach is still crowded!!! Tuesday we took the bus to Exeter using our free bus passes.

Daff, I had a voice mail message on my phone this morning, was it a resurrected old one or did you leave a message recently? Something about being outside and about to ring the bell. I reckoned it was from when you came over but it was strange that it suddenly came through at 8am this morning!!
