Good morning Daff, I too have been shredding all the papers we have accumulated some as far back as 1985, I found them in an old folder, bank statements and visa with all our details on inc visa number in full....never thought of security in those days...Your seafood lasagne sounds good could you let me have the recipe, I love seafood.J has just gone to the clinic so fingers x we hope the wound will be finally healed , we have tomorrow with no appointments and no commitments, so we are going out and prob have a meal , cant remenber the last time we did that we used to go out 2/3 times a week...dont over do it Daff with all this domestic stuff.....

Meeting went OK but it was so cold, we had been put in a larger room over in the exhibition centre of Nature In Art, we are usually in a small room, it had a very high ceiling so everything echoed!! wonderful for me trying to take minutes, luckily I had taken my left hand hearing aid with me, I usually only wear one as not comfortable with two so wore that which helped a bit. still not pleasant though.
T got soaked playing golf (and didn't win anything). still at least no meal to cook tonight as we are round there. probably freeze there too!! July should be warm even if wet but it is really cold here today.

Oh dear... go and pamper yourself in a nice hot bath, Ann...... poor T, as well, getting drenched... I have the heating on here, lol!! So yes, it is freezing for July... where oh where is this blazing hot summer we were promised?

I keep threatening to put the heating on but have resisted so far!

lol...... I succumbed far too easily... but I do feel very cold today.... I have put a fleece on, as well, and bedsocks... I look very elegant..... NOT!!

Thank goodness your all feeling cold! I thought it was just me! It's flipping freezing here..... well I dont mean I'me glad your cold....I mean, its not just me thats cold!
Well my cat seems o.k. again (fingers crossed) so I can put away the pitch fork pointed at my neighbours LOL.
I wont tempt fate and say anything about the ouside just in case! Nice to be able to put the brolly away for an hour (wait for it, go get your washing in ladies!).
So your "hot match" was more of a warm one then Daff? keep digging, you never know!!

Hiya Taff *huge grin* I'm glad you're glad we're cold too... so we're all agreed then, this is October weather, not July!!

And it is now getting on my pips, all this rain... them there weeds are staring at me, mocking me!!

I started my new hobby this morning... in between washloads and stuff... I think I have a layout I am pleased with... need to go and get some more A4 paper, that fits in my printer but is ok for scrapbooking. And figure out how to do bows...... I can't do nice bows to save my life... functional ones, great... not one of those pretty, fluffy *it's a girl* sort of bows, lol

R must be on his way... the cats are all lined up on the stairs, staring at the front door... he should be home in around 10 minutes, lol!!

Morning everyone..... *whispers* the sun is shining!!

Ann, glad you enjoyed yourself.... I went to bed early, woke just once in the night....... got up about half hour ago.... slept like a baby!....... I have two other pairs of specs..... I had forgotten about them, to be honest... the thing is, the ones I have left with you are the oldest, but the most comfortable... they are all bendy and go into my bag without breaking, lol Is it ok if I collect them when I come up for a coffee?
Hope you have gone somewhere nice, Jean.... I am going out for lunch with my mum and dad..... I am not really looking forward to it... I have to drive into Cardiff, then park in the town centre....... I hate doing that, especially as I don't really know Cardiff all that well as a driver, and there is so much work going on in that area, with roads blocked off, etc...... I'd get a taxi, but it would cost a fortune, and I feel uncomforartable in enclosed spaces with lots of people....... hangover from the months I had to be really careful. Oh well, I'm sure I shall have a lovely meal. I might pop into Hobbycraft, first!!

Hiya Jude..... promise not to talk about the weather again today, lol I get headaches like that, as well.... I make sure these days that I have plenty of fluids.... hadn't realised until I went off tea, that I drank about 4 cups in the morning, and just a couple of sips of water all day! And that was it... I now fill two squash bottles up with made-up squash every morning, and put them in the fridge... that way I can tell if I have drunk enough.... still not liking tea much most of the time, but do need that first one in the morning!!

Well, I'm off to find something not to do, lolol

Hi Daff,
Strange weather here, hot sun one minute and monsoon rain the next!! Went out for coffee with our friends (the husband is the one who is ill and can't walk far) We went to Costa Coffee which has opened on one of the industrial estates (the old cattle market), then popped into home sense and bought a cushion for the conservatory, reduced from 325 to £6. fawn with big orange and yellow spots, very cheerful and look nice in the conservatory, also bought me a new pillow. Then went to a pub, just the 2 of us for lunch, then to T****s for the shopping then home, on he way it started raining, the sort that you can't see through the windscreen. had to wait until it stopped when we got home and the drive was under water!

No problem with the specs Daff, I will put them somewhere safe and hope that I can find them when you next come over Lol!!!!

DiL has left a message to say she off back up to be with her Mum as they are taking her Dad off the ventilator this afternoon.

soap box down stands on ,i hav ejust phoned the council to take some old stuff to the tip ten pounds per six items for furniture ,20 pounds per six items for fencing and timber, permits for trailers free ,now they moan on about fly tipping which they pick up free when reported , tempted to put dark clothes on and fly tip lol
been away overnight cat did not use behind the telly to poo even though he was tiiped out used my washing pile by the washer .lol give up the dish of food is beginning to work but he wows wen it is empty lol

Well, I am back.... had a wonderful meal.... and mum and dad were on top form, didn't bicker once, so it was an enjoyable time.... I asked them questions about when they were younger.... which they both enjoyed... my dad would never talk about his childhood and young adulthood, but he is beginning to open up... strange though... until I started the family tree, my mother hadn't realised that the boys she grew up with were her second cousins... she hadn't realised that they were her Granny's brother's grandsons......

So that got my dad talking... because he had only known about 4 of his mother's siblings.... he didn't have a clue about the children who died... or that his grandparents had 14 children, all of whom survived to adulthood, so there are dozens of second cousins etc out there, lol

It is very close here..... I wish it would just have one massive thunder storm, and clear the air for a few days..... it seems we might have better weather for the weekend... R has warned me that we shall be weeding... not before he's mowed the lawn though!! The last is my add on...... he hates it when I do that, lolol

Right, my delivery has been made...... so I can go out to play, but the traffic is always bad at this time of day... Mamiddau.... it was horrendous. I am not going to play like that again... but I have walked around, and now know how to get to a really good car park!!
How did the party go? Was H the cutest bunny??? And cheerleader!!
