Evening SM Daff,
How lovely to find you have come home to join in the party. (Avoid the pigs trotters though, they fell on the floor and got fluff all over them.)
We have all been behaving and have conducted ourselves with impeccable decorum (well, most of us) and have kept our uniforms well pressed.
Have a lovely sleep, back in your own bed snuggled up to Mr Daff, and your little friends.
Love, Elisabeth xxx

Morning everyone especially Daff.
Please can you all talk a bit quieter as I have a bit of a headache. I'm not sure how that happened. Also my mouth feels like the bottom of a birdcage - must have been that bombay mix. Whatever was in that?
Anyway, I'm creeping about a bit tenderly this morning but hope you can have a nice gentle day at home Daff.
I'll be on parade later

Mmmmmm Gwynne you always look sooooo gooooood after your manoovers!!
Right a quick update and then back to bed... my morning pills are kicking in, lolol
I go to clinic on Tuesday... we are playing a waiting game.
My best chance for survival of this is to have as many rounds of chemo as I can before going in for the final round and then transplant.
Nothing can be decided until Tuesday, so as long as I remain well, I stay home until then. I will have another transfusion of blood and platelets then, platelets already ordered blood needs to be crossmatched everytime, so can't be ordered until then.
The bottom line is that I have to have a transplant, but if I can manage 3 rounds of chemo beforehand, I will have a better chance because there will be less of my own marrow, and the donor marrow will not need to fight so hard to get dominance (graft versus host syndrome, a little is good and necessary, a lot is bad and is often fatal)
So..we are taking things a day, and a treatment at a time. My brother will have notification as soon as they decide they are going in...
I have had a couple of poorly days... the discovery of Atrial Fibrillation, which I am now on meds for... and of course the BP tabs then over-acted (reminded me of a certain dramatic Empress) and took the hump... so my bp dropped and caused a mild panic. So they have been binned and replaced with beta blockers. Which I have never really got on with but hey ho, needs must. And then the icky time.. I didn't manage to keep a morsel down... and I only managed to eat or drink morsels anyway... but still PUT ON 2 pesky Kilos.
Add that to the indignity of being the joke stooge.... well, the doc on wardrounds (TDM came to see me personally 5 times, and the others onlt twice each, to let me know the updates, I felt very special, lolol Even the Transplant team waved through the window, and I won't become involved with them until nearer the time, although I have seen the nurse.) Deep breath, now where was I? Oh yes... the joke was from everyone, as they all know I am good with the students, as I will let them try out procedures for the first time on me....... *Doesn't Ann look well* The picture of glowing good health. Now go away with her notes for half an hour, and come back and tell me if the patient matches the description .... Well of course I don,t... one even had the temerity to suggest that as they have two patients with the same name perhaps it was a trick to see if they would recognise they had been given the wrong notes. He did look sorry for himself when I wmsl @ him, lolol and promised that I wouldn't make him try and get blood from me to punish him.
So, the real truth is, that we do not have a clue, we are literally taking it a day at a time.....
I have been doing this for a couple of hours now... phone keeps going!!!
Back to work Privates.... lots of manoovering to do... we need to look good for the party at the end of this war... I was thinking of a street party with bunting and gravy browning stockings for those who do not go canoodling with the providers of silk stockings..........
Oh no..... no spam sarnies though.... far too many words to be eating!!
Love
Daff xxxxxx

Hi Daff
Thanks for the update on all your trials and tribs. I just hope these docs know what they're doing and are looking after you properly.
A street party sounds good (we were practising party manoovers last night - you may have noticed). It certainly deserves some sort of party but maybe it depends on the weather at the time. It would certainly be grand with the bunting and all our nice clean colourful uniforms.
How can any student think there are two Daffs. What a cheek. There is but one!! There could never be another!!
Take care of yourself Beverley

Now lady, you leave those poor students alone!!!
Here's hoping that you can go more than one round in the ring then. Too hot for manoovers today, going to lie in the shade with a cold drink.!
