Evening all.... BC my dinner was scrummy, lolol!!
Jean, Leukaemias are dealt with at the Heath, in the Haemotology dept there. They recently won a *centre of excellence* award, too, so I couldn't be in a better place as far as expertise is concerned. I do hope your little stray shows up, has her OH shown his face or has he gone walkabout too?
~~~~~~ to Ann, pleased you are both already having a good time!
J* thank you...
I am back off to bed soon,,,,, been so busy doing nothing I am exhaustimicated, lol Although I have done a big online Tesco shop.....
Love and ((((hugs))))
Evening Daff and all,
I'm glad you had a good sleep - but do be careful with the doses. I have to admit that I have swigged from the bottle sometimes though (cough medicine that is, not alcoholic beverages).
I have been very busy tidying all the little bits and dead leaves after cutting back a pyracantha with wisteria growing through it yesterday. I felt guilty cutting off so many berries but it was overhanging a path around the house and is very prickly! I watered some turf we put down yesterday. It took visits to six different garden centres before we found some instock, that wasn't looking rather yellow from being rolled up.
I spent the afternoon doing more gardening at Mum's house, so I will be stiff tomorrow. Had to make the most of the good weather before the rain comes again.
I hope you are now tucked up in bed and that you have a peaceful night. We shall all report for inspection again tomorrow.
Love, Elisabeth xx
Daff, stray turned up this morning as we were having breakfast. I reckon she had been shut in somewhere by somone who went off for the weekend. Her OH is a regular, twice daily now. Getting more trusting too. Will have to bring him down with a crash soon and get Cats protection to catch him for the 'snip'! He would come back here to his territory after.
Oh Jean, thank goodness.... they are a worry, aren't they? And poor Tom, but at least that should reduce the feral kittens in your area. The litters have a very tough time of it, too, and not many of those born survive. It is being cruel to be kind.
Maz, you'll be exhausted tonight, lol, I do hope Gizmo doesn't follow you there as well!!
Goodness Elisabeth, you will be aching for Britain today!! I have a couple of pyracanthus that are looking stunning, and this is the first year I have been able to enjoy them, as all the shrubs around them have been cut down. Mind, the birds are enjoying them as well, lolol I am making the most of them, as they are in the front, and can only be seen from the kitchen or our son's bedroom... oh and our granddaughter's room, too.
I am about to go online and have a look at the Dunelm stuff... it would seem you can order online now!! Well, I know I am online already, but you know what I mean, lolol
I don't know what else I shall be doing... R has gone to work today, to sort out all his leave and carers leave. They are being very very good.
Right, off I go to surf the net.... please remind me if I forget what I am meant to be surfing for, lolol!!
Love and ((((hugs))))
Morning Daff and all,
Thanks for the mention of Dunelm being on-line ordering now. That is very useful.
We don't have a Dunelm here, but there is one in the next town. I had some loose curtain linings made by them and am very impressed with the finish and workmanship (or workwomanship if that is a word!). I could have made my own but at two widths of material and three metres long for each curtain, I didn't fancy it. There was nothing wrong with the curtains but the linings were falling apart. My windowcleaner hates that stairs window - it is huge.
The washing is blowing in the wind and should be dry before the rain arrives -if it stays on the line. Off to put some grass seed on bare patches of Mum's lawn this afternoon. I think I was a little heavy-handed with the feed and weed.
Have a good day and remember to rest!
Elisabeth xx
Afternoon Daff and troops, it's a nice blowy day here and I have just finished the holiday washing, we stayed in a caravan so had to take our own bed linen so all that needed doing as well as clothes etc. Only the i***ing to do now.
Gr/ch back at school today so it's very quiet in my house now, the holidays have flown by but will soon be ch/mas (sorry) and I always look forward to that, I love it.
I hope you find what you are looking for Daff, happy surfing.
Good afternoon, cloudy here but still very warm and humid. Just back from a walk out around the cliffs, stopped for a half litre of red and olives watching the ghekos. Now recovering from the walk up the hill carrying shopping. Got a load in town yesterday and caught a taxi back but there are always bits you forget aren't there. Had to top up the washing liquid this time.
Our pyracanthus at home is never very nice, been there at least 19 years but always ends up with some sort of disease on the berries. T wont get rid of it because it is where the sparrows roost.
~~~~~~~~ to Ann, It is humid here, too, but cooler than where you are I expect... although I am doing my *glowing for Britain* thing so maybe it is just me.......
Well, I have seen a little notebook thingy that I like..... so we might be getting that, as I know someone with a business account who can get it a bit cheaper for me.... I love cheaper, don't you??
Last time I was in hospital, I missed almost all of X Factor and that programme based in Africa, the vet thingy... and I love them both, so I want a book that I can get tv programmes I missed on. This time, I shall be spending quite a lot of time in isolation, so I won't even have other patients to chat to for a good few weeks, so will need something to keep me occupied when I am up to it. I know that I shall need to get an external DVD thingy as well... although someone has suggested that a big storage USB wotsit will do the trick. (As you can tell, my knowledge of techno speak is very limited, lolol)
My laptop has lost the sound, and has also been messed about with by a friend... he was trying to get my sound back, bless him, but then we lost almost everything. I haven't had the oomph to sort it out, but might start it all up in a mo to see what is what.
The thing with it is that it is slightly bigger than those tables you get in hospital, and it doesn't charge up at all, so it needs to be plugged in... and if I am in bed the leads would never reach the plugs. I had to sit in the chairs, and they are soooooo uncomfortable, lolol
Whinger that I am!! I shall set it all up anyway, because if I can get sound on it, Littlie can use it. We'll see.
Ginnie, I love Christmas too.... and this year I have already started to plan for it, lolol It will have to be a quiet one, I imagine, but then, it could be that the transplant is well over by then and I can go for a full family one.
Elisabeth, I still haven't found a lightweight dressing gown that I like (or is appropriate for hospital!!) in my size :¬( which is a real pain, as I will need it for Thursday at least, when I go down for my Hickman Line to be put in... my other is far too warm and far too small, lolol
Right, lets get back to surfing and to emptying the tumble dryer, lol
Love and ((((hugs))))

Daff,
Do you have a Bon Marche down your way? I got a lightweight, longish dressing gown for when I travelled some time ago.
Grass seed forked into Mum's front lawn on the bare patches. I bought some of the 'fortified' with fertiliser rather than the ordinary stuff. Needless to say I was given advice from every passing dog walker, on the best method of reviving the lawn. One said I was wasting my time and should re-do the whole lot. I shall prove them all wrong. I just hope we get some rain overnight to get it going. I only gave it a few cans full of water, as I was too lazy to trail the hose round from the back! (The sprinkler is going on my front just now, giving the turf we laid at the weekend a good soaking. Now - is that laid or layed - don't know!)
Love, Elisabeth xx

Oooh errrr.... don't get many deleted posts in here!!!!
BC, I have been looking at it (blogs) today... Jude gave me a link, so I have been playing around with that. Bless the Dragon... she'll get her telegram from HRH yet, lolol!! She sounds a real character. Oh, and Sue M has sent me some netbook stuff, which is helpful, but that isn't as important as a dressing gown right now, lolol.... I shall be going down to theatre in a wheelchair and surgery gown naked, past all those zillions of people who should be elsewhere when I am needing to use the corridors, lolol I shall be on a bed going back, and won't care less, but you go down in a wheelchair!
Please all be aware that size 22 is too small to wrap around my bazookas, lolol......... so all of the lovely ones in the stores are out... they either do huge granny grimble things in something that resembles a 50's candlewick bedspread..... or those fancy things with lace and satin that belong in a top shelf magazine shoot......... I just want a plain, cotton, normal dressing gown, lol.... will go and look again in a mo. I have been side tracked with phonecalls, so have happily chatted for Britain... thank you, Sue, Susan and Gwyn, lol Plus my mother (3 times, because she forgot she had aready done it, and it was on her list of *to do* today, bless her)
Elisabeth, yes, there is Bon Marche in town... I like a lot of their stuff, but.... I am not supposed to be going out to play, in case someone else tries to share their germs with me, lolol So... are you going to talk to the grass, to make sure it grows? It works, you know, lol..... tell it how much you love it, and want to walk through it in bare feet next summer. My sister did that, and her grass is absolutely lush this year, lol Back to Bon Marche... I might send R in tomorrow. He is now off work until I am getting better.
Ginnie, I'll have a look at that site now.... my problem is my largesse, lolol!!
~~~~~~ to the jogging Mummo!!
Love and ((((hugs)))))
Hi Daff and everyone
Just a quick note tonight as I'm about to dash off-line soon.
Daff - I think (but I'm not sure) you may need to check if you have to have a TV license if you are going to watch TV in hospital. It's quite possible the hospital one will do but I would check. You know what these legal things are like. Don't want the detector vans seeking you out in your surgery gown, do we - lol
Hope everyone's OK - must dash
Daff don't worry about your "largesse" as jdwilliams have sizes up to something like 34/36 or more, it's just finding something you like. I get my pjs from them as they are 100% cotton. They are part of Home shoppng direct group I think.
I only popped on to say goodnight.
