Morning Ann you forgot your yellow wellies..... must have been where you went wrong.
Today I think we might need parasols as it is sunny right now. But later showers are forecast. So they could double up. Any colour suggestions? I have seen kiddy ones that are in primary colours, but that doesn't include orange !!!
Enjoy your day everyone.
I have hosp tomorrow too. So might add later again. Too many appointments.

Have a great time Ann.

Good morning all.... well, what a miserable night that must have been... not that I would know too much about it, as I slept the sleep of an innocent baby, lolol But the conservatory roof and the back garden is full of oak twiglets and leaves. Oh, and the rain butt has filled nicely... it catches the bit from the leaky guttering.
I had a long phone call from my brother last night... the one who is my donor, and who has just started fostering, and he is coming on Sunday with our new nephew...... we seem to be collecting children at the moment, lolol
Littlie will be here in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
My father is now home, but I am keeping well away.
I was just making my cuppa, when the doorbell went. Oh bother, I thought, who the blazes is this at this time of the morning? One more window/door/conservatory/driveway specialist, and they will have their brochures shoved where the sun don't shine, I thought.
Yanked open front door, and there is stood a strange postie... not odd strange, you understand, just new strange as in I have never seen him before... my usual is on holiday... and he has a parcel clutched in his hand... for me.
BC, that is so kind of you, thank you!! I have woken R up with his choccies, and a nice cup of coffee... and he is very touched. He is off today. He had booked the leave ages ago and forgotten about it.
And my little calming spray is lovely... in fact, I shall be using it today everytime I think of my father.
And the Harrods bag has been put in a prominent position, out of the reach of acquisitive 4 year old fingers but in full view of any odd visitor that might pop in... and it will go into my memory box in a few weeks time.
Thank you so much. mwah! *I have put my sunglasses on... there is a real glow on those cheeks of yours, lolol!
Erm... have you got stairs? Inside, I mean? *frets*
Ann, I had forgotten that you are going to be away for your Anniversary... I am so sorry *glances at mess trailing through the house* Erm.... well, I shall send it anyway.... have a wonderful time, though, ok? Mwah!! Oh and R says ok, T can delete and return ;¬)))
Maz, I gave in and had the catflap put in... it has made a huge difference. Well, most of the time... Pol likes to have the door opened properly for her if there is a spare human slave loitering to hand (or paw, as the case may be, lol) but at least they can all come and go as they please, and we aren't woken up any more. Having said that, we do occasionally have them bringing friends home... and even inviting them to live permanently here, but hey ho. We are not on permanent door duty.
Mummo, I do hope you and Eddie are as well as can be expected. xxxx and ((((hugs)))))
Linda, I hope all has gone ok for you? (((((hugs))))) too.
~~~~~~~ to Ginnie, Beverley, Maggie, Jude and Carol... and to everyone else looking in, or on the next page, cos I lose you all and my words if I look back and use that arrow thingy.. it doesn't seem to work on GR anymore... and I just can't get into the habit of writing in Word then c&p'ing my epistles, lol!
R is now ready to go... we are off out, to plant out the hanging baskets ( Huge wink) and to get stores in ready for Littlie. And she'll need a couple of cardigans too. Other than that she has enough here to see her through this visit. Next month I shall start getting her some warmer stuff. As it will be staying here and not going home, I can get less, but will get her some stuff from M & S and Next that will last longer than a couple of washes. B is not allowed to go near her washing here... he bungs lights and darks in all together, as does mummy... and so nothing ever stays looking pretty for long, it all goes drab and yucky looking straight away. They both also driy clothes on the radiators, and don't iron them before putting them on her. It drives me nuts!
R is now chomping at the bit.... strange how they are last up, and then whinge cos they have to wait while you finish off something you started before they had even woken up, isn't it? *Rolls eyes*
Love and ((((hugs))))
Morning Daff and troops (not tropps as originally typed - oops)
So, BC - are we going to be let into this secret destination? I'm sitting here togged out in my uniform and my feet are hurting with these steel toecaps and would like to know where manoovers are today. If it's anything like the meeting at the crossroads, I have my doubts about it happening. It also needs to be soon as I'm away soon. Which reminds me:-
Permission to have the weekend off SM Daff as I'm off on a jolly. I'll be back on full manoovers on Monday though. I promise to wear the full gear all weekend regardless of the strange looks I'll get.
Hope you all have a good weekend ~~~~~~~~~
Morning all SM Daff and all,
Sorry I have been AWOL - I've been busy, busy and then had computer problems. Couldn't get on here at all this morning and then when I had found the site, it wouldn't accept my log in. All very odd, but it has worked now.
I have been wearing my uniform at all times, though I have lost more glitter, so have to get the glue out. The steel toes wellies are a little muddy from gardening, but I will give them a polish later.
Hope SM Daff manages to get the seedlings planted safely. She really must take a deep breath and relax now, especially with little people visiting.
Off for more chores. Have a happy weekend all.
Afternoon Daff and all and glad the Harrods bag arrived! lol You are a very busy girl arent you and I feel you should be swinging in your hammock whilst OH pops a peeled grape in your gob and fills your glass with Sherry! Or some such indulgence.
Re the steel taps on wellies, sorry I made a mistake. It was meant for my fellow Saga Riverdancers down the Club...tsk tsk,..silly me! Hope it didn't cause you all to much discomfort..*titters...
Man-oovers can be decided by a vote I think. I am not a very responsible person I feel:-)
Well, now that the hanging baskets are all sorted and well away..... I have half an hour before going to sort out Littlie's clothes... they are all over the house, as she will be having a different bedroom from now on and we have been moving stuff around... we have just moved the double bed out and her single bed in... when I say we, I mean they, of course, I just macro managed (I think that is what it's called, lol) and generally supervised operations. R was just a little bit rude to me. Just a tad.I have nooooooo idea why, at all, lolol B is now all ready to drive up to collect her. I can't wait.
He has gone off now to do some shopping... we have no clemantines, bananas or Rice Krispies, and that would be a tragedy, as this is her breakfast when she is here. No matter what else she has, full english, muffins, bacon sarnie, beans on toast, whatever, she tells the world that she hasn't had any breakfast if she doesn't have the fruit and Rice Krispies.
Salsa? I would love to learn Salsa.. I did look at joining a class a couple of years ago... but the nasty neighbour's wife runs the club, so I gave it a miss.
Right... off to dig out the iron and madam's clothes, and introduce them to each other. lol
Love
Daff,
I started to read your posting about moving beds around and was going to shout very loudly, but thankfully see you were in your supervisory role. That is ok, as long as that was all.
Don't work too hard on the ironing. You could have added it to my enormous pile, waiting for this evening. I always do it in the evenings while I watch the tv.
Have a happy weekend with the little people.
Morning Daff and *waves to Maz and Gizmo. I am sure you will be kept busy with littlie for a while, Daff, so we shall continue spud bashing etc until further orders. Am having trouble getting into my yellow wellies and wonder if it will be ok to wear flip flops?
In the meantime, I slept late and am now off to park. Mwah! BC¬XX
BC What colour are the flip-flops? Will they go with your leg warmers?
Maybe they will suffice for a day spud bashing, but could you march in them? What about any mud, ...you'd lose them.
Can't have you ruining your feet in sqeezy boots though. Have you thought about those tin can 'stilts'...maybe they would keep your flip flops out of the mud. They ARE shiney, as long as you unwrap the baked been label .....although they are orange.......
Have you stopped spud bashing yet BC? I'm sure your flip flops will be ok indoors but like Gwyn I'm worried that you may lose them in the great outdoors when we are on manoovers.
Have you any orange/yellow ugg boots they are comfortable I believe.
I like the idea of 'tin can' stilts but will you be able to march with them on?
Hope you are enjoying your day with littlie Daff, she will be starting school soon and then they grow up so quickly, you blink and they are leaving school or so it seems, maybe it's just me getting old. lolol.
I am off to the recyling bin for a couple of tin cans. I remember having tin can stilts, with the loop of string. They were good fun. I just hope there are two tins - we don't use that many - or I will be a little lop-sided.
Hopping off to do some lunch - perhaps we will have beans on toast, then I will have a tin can!
Happy afternoon to all the troops, and SM Daff.
