Well at least the sun is shining which is an improvement on yesterday. got two loads of washing dry, about 3 more to go. (Had almost a load from before we went.)
Unpacking, washing and sorting out the bank accounts have accounted for most of today so far. Not had much time to be on here, download photos or do other things I want to do. Glad you are starting to feel better Daff, another good nights sleep will hopefully knock it on the head. Hope R soon gets over it too.
Sounds like a good bargain Mummo.

Good morning all, hope tummys in your house are all better now Daff.
A very grey day here but still dry. Have to go and restock the food cupboard today, do more washing, buy more compost, make up two more baskets, pot on coriander seedlings and basil plants, then re-write one of my story offerings for 'teach' Lol. Think I will be ready for bed by then!

Morning, didn't sleep to good again last night, didn't settle down till 1.15am then at 5.00am l thought l heard the phone ringing so went down to the sitting room and crept in so not to disturb Ed ( he never hears the phone even during the day) and dialled 1471 but nobody had called since the previous day so must have dreamt it, made myself a cup of tea and took it back to bed, did a bit of reading and settled back down at 7.45 then was back up at 9.00 so will be tired today :(((. Sunny here at the moment so going to go into Portsmouth as my mum wants a heated brush as she said it will be easier to do her hair with one but she said l;m to have the new one and she will have my old one and l can give it to her when l go to see her on Wednesday. Mum does amaze me, even being so ill she knows exactly what she wants and has arranged everything for when she is no longer with us, when l see her she told me she has a business card from her solictors where her will is, her funeral is all paid for and all the arrangements are done also she has a few bits of jewelery that l have to give people, This does hurt me when l hear her talk like this as l don't want her to die but l have to respect her wishes that she wants everything sorted. Right Ed has just had a wash and shave so better help him get dressed then jump in the shower otherwise l'll be getting told off again, lol. Hope you and OH are feeling better Daff, everyone else take it easy today and will speak soon, x
PS........Oh dear l have gone on again haven't l, lol.

~~~~~~~~to Maz, Ann, Jude, Julie Ann, Mummo and BC
I am fine now, thank you.... tummy all better, and starving all the time..... I have weighed myself and have not lost an ounce, :¬(( but I bet R has... he is still in bed, so I haven't a clue how he is this morning!! I promise I will wake him up soon and ask him, lolol
Julie Ann.... they come out with wonderful sayings in their innocence, don't they, lol Won't be long before little Charlie is talking nineteen to the dozen... they grow so quickly, don't they.... and grannie's and grampie's are supposed to spoil them, lolol!!
Son got back from taking littlie home, yesterday evening... sad at leaving her, but she made him laugh..... she does try to play one off against the other at times..... when she is here, and not allowed to do anything, or asked to do something she doesn't want to do, there is a look of horror, and a *I want my mummy* doesn't last long.... but it happens, lol
Anyway, son and mummy went swimming with madam... both stopped her from doing something she shouldn't be doing..... and her cry? *I want my Granny* lolol
One of the thoughts and fears I had when I was ill was that the girls would have no memories of me, and I found that really hard to swallow... one of the reasons I stayed so positive! Bet they'd have some now, though, lol
Ann, that is a busy day... I'll send you my offering in a bit, but don't feel you have to read it! It is a grey day here too.... My tomatoes, cucumber, carrots, mixed salad, peas and beans are all sprouting nicely, now.... tomatoes are Tumbling Toms, and all have germinated... I am so pleased with myself.
Maz.... are you going to have a lazy day, yet? lol
No choccies yet, BC.... but I did enjoy my roast lamb dinner yesterday..... the men didn't have any, so they can heat theirs up today... there is spagh bol for me ;¬) So.... dinner is sorted!!
Hope you have had a lovely time, Jude.... it must be sad watching someone you care about deteriorate... and the impact is worse when you don't see them for a while... my brother lives just outside Luton, and saw mum for the first time since Christmas a couple of weeks ago... he was shocked, and she isn't too bad. But my brother had not noticed any difference in her until now. xxxxxx
Mummo, good news regarding getting the benefits you should have been getting from the start.... but how annoying that it took the occy nurse (the therapist) to get it sorted for you.... It is hard to adjust to a sudden change in your lifestyle, or health... and Ed's was certainly sudden! xxx
Well... I am off to wander the boards for a bit, and then go and potter in the garden... I need to thin out some of the salad seedlings.
Oh, and the Bokashi is already working rather well... I am on my second bucketful, the first has only been pickling for a week, and R says it smells like pickle, not rotten food, so that is good... and considering there are fish heads, chicken bones and left over scrapings from plates, as well as the usual peelings from veg... well, that is brilliant!
Have a lovely Easter Monday everyone
Love
Daff xxxx
Lolol Ann.... I probably have that pound you lost, lolol.... I have dug out my old scales.... they are electronic, lol so fairly accurate.... heck.... I am going to sew my mouth up so I can't eat!!
R is feeling better, thank you... slightly less groggy.... and he walked to the shop for ciggies.... oh, and he still managed to smoke!!... so he must be feeling better.
Ann, I have 15 lovely little Tumbling Tom seeds... should I plant some more up, or would that be too many?
And I haven't a clue how many cucumber I would get from each plant.... we eat a lot in the summer, so would 5 plants be enough do you reckon?
I have been stuck up my family tree all day... not added anyone, just padding out... and then losing... ones I had before! Grrrr!
Love
Evening all...*rushes over from Chat....lol...hope you all had a peaceful Easter and Mr Daff is better and that Daff loses a pound and that all your seedlings grow up nice and sturdy. I had lunch out with the dragon lady today and she was surprisingly well behaved and didn't complain once! Last time a man shouted at her...tsk.....
I think you have sufficient tomato plants if they all survive Daff. You know those are the little tomatoes don't you? If you want some larger ones it might pay you to just buy two ready grown plants of Alicante or moneymaker or something.
Cucumbers are tempermental, sometimes we get loads off a plant, sometimes only two or three. Difficult to tell. Ours usually don't last all summer, something usually happens to them.
Glad R is OK now, must be if he is smoking.
BC glad you had an uneventful lunch.
I have the dreaded dentist at 11am tomorrow!!!
Hiya Ann..... yes, Littlie would live on baby tomatoes given half a chance.... they are mainly for her and R, who also loves them....
I'll get some ready grown ones next time I'm out and about... I grew Alicante years ago, but didn't have the space in the right place, really, so it wasn't successful.... I'll try it again though.....
Oh no.... you hate the dentist, too... I have a gp appointment at 8.20... that's the middle of the night, these days of waking up an hour here and an hour there, lolol It is only a BP meds check, so that's ok.....
Right.... I am almost ready for my bed again...... there is nothing on the telly that I fancy.... and my rellies will wait until next time I want to dig them up, lolol I have found a brother to my Gt Grandmother on my mum's side who I knew nothing about.... and they lived quite close to my gt gt grandmother's family on my father's side, too... isn't that atrange, as it was in London, and they were Devon/Cornwall/Hampshire born and bred until then!
Back from the dentist. Wasted journey really. I didn't have a clue what she intended doing as I had been 'cleaned' thoroughly in December/January. If you remember I have to have injections for cleaning so that means four visits at £28 each time. She said this morning that she wanted to do a thorough clean every three months, When I said that is going to be expensive she looked puzzled.
She was intending to clean all my teeth with the sonic drill thing without injections. After I had said 'no you are not' and explained she said 'I realise now why you said it would be expensive. Anyway she is going to delay it until June when my actual inspection is due anyway. My teeth, my decision, sorted! and she will do it in four sessions.
So if my teeth now drop out I only have me to blame!
Ouch.... painful in more ways than one!........... bet you have nightmares about your teeth dropping out, now! lolol
Physio went over my lists.... and struck most things off them as non essential, able to delegate etc etc!! A couple of little exercises, and then back in three weeks...... she was very gentle with me, lololol!
