Morning All.... beautiful here this morning,. and I had a lie in, lolol
Mummo, pleased that you are feeling better... you have been going through the mill, haven't you, this last couple of months..... (((((((((hugs))))))) for you.
BC, that is such a shame for your dragon... in a way, maybe it would be kinder if the mind fuzzed a little when the body is fading. Oh...... and nope, that wouldn't suit me at all..... don't do short and concise at all, lolol And the daffs in my garden are coming along fine and dandy..... there are loads of them!!
Lol Maz.... I'm exhausted just thinking about it!!
Mau... goodness, the time has flown by.... have a wonderful time with your grandson and family this evening.
Hiya Ginnie...... *cringes at the thought of dentist* it is almost 6 months since my last visit, so I am expecting a letter any day now...... and I know that I have 3 teeth which need to be dealt with..... I do so hate the dentist!
Ann, they had opened that one(Dunelm) just as I was leaving Gloucester... isn't there one in Tewkesbury? I am sure you have one reasonably close. If not, you'll just have to come here, and we'll go together, lolol
Right.... I am now orff for my lunch out....... we are going down the road, to Blooms, first..... and it is Holiday on Ice tonight in Cardiff.... I am sooooooo excited!!
And I have a busy day tomorrow... I am out for morning coffee with someone from the boards I have long wanted to meet.... yeh!!
I have told her that I shall be wearing my red Santa coat, so she won't be able to miss me, lolol....
Hubby is tapping his foot, lolol... he is trying so hard to be masterful, bless him, lolol !!
Love

Hope you enjoyed your dat Daff and that the ice show is good.
If there was a direct bus to you I would catch it and visit Dunelm with you. I don't know of the one in Tewkesbury, wonder where that is. I suspect the one at Wesgate is nearest, that is the one that moved from near the Barton st car park. (By Courts)
Enjoy your coffee tomorrow morning, she can't miss you in that coat I'm sure!!!
Mummo I am pleased that youa re feeling better, the last weeks have been hard for you, you are bound to feel the strain of it all, and quite a responsibility too. I still think you should be getting some help.
BC, poor dragon, so hard when the body gives up and the mind doesn't. Time spent with our offspring goes so fast doesn't it? I never appreciated it when my Mum used to say "I do wish you lived nearer so we could go shopping together". But I know what she meant now and look with envy at Mums out round the shops with their daughters.

Morning all.... what a beautiful (but cold) sunny morning!!
I had a fabulous day yesterday... an amble around Blooms for inspiration... lunch out, back here for a short stop, and then into Cardiff... a snack there, and on to the CIA... wow... what a wonderful show... I was thoroughly bowled over, and had a wonderful time... it was just stunning, stupendous, breathtaking... I loved it.
I am off out fairly soon... same place we had lunch yesterday... but this time to meet someone from GR for coffee.... poor girl, I told her I would look like Santa, lolol
Would you all give a quick moment to spare a thought for my brother, please, this morning? It is showdown day today... he has had a very worrying time just recently, but today he should find out what is going on, and whether the cancer has returned.... he is the brother who had the stem cell transplant a couple of years ago, so fingers crossed he will have good news today!
Must go and find my handbag... can't remember where I dropped it last night when I got in... I will catch up later... oh, Ann.... there is a new Dunelm Superstore in Cheltenham.... Tewkesbury road... just off the roundabout at the top of Princess Elizabeth Way ;¬)) Or you could catch the bus to Newport and I will meet you at the station.... or the train..... yeh!
Love

Morning Daff and all:-) Glad you enjoyed the day yesterday, Daff, and I will certainly send all positive thoughts towards your brother.
I am waiting for new washing machine to arrive so am stuck in for a while. My horrible dog slipped her lead last night and went tearing down Edgware Road, knocking over shisha pipes and folks and having the time of her life. An old lady was seen chasing her and shouting her name to no avail. (I was terrified she would run into the traffic). She stopped when the joke had gone too far! lol
I am having family visiting in a couple of days and I havent cleared up after baby boy yet! so I had better get cracking. My old dragon wont be around for much more, I fear, so I shall have to organise everything when she has 'left the party'. On the other hand, she may stick around out of noseyness! lol
Hope you all have a good day.

I have been thinking of your brother (L)? I do hope that he has been worrying unnecessarily and that all is well for him.
It is bright here but really cold wind and my face was frozen when I got home. No way would I want to be on a golf course. Mummo sorry you didn't sleep well, was that just a one of ot was their a reason? Hope you do better tonight. How is Ed?
BC, what a naughty and energetic dog. glad she eventually came back.
Edit: Sorry Jean, missed you there. Yes freezing here too today.

Well, Ann... you can hit two pots of glitter with one scrapbooking trip, , lolol!!
Yes it was L... and thankfully, positive news... it has been a bit of a worry for a couple of months now... but the shadow on his lung is not the Hodgkins returning... it is pneumonia, which is why his bloods have been so bad, why he has felt so rough and lost weight etc etc.... but all is beginning to come right, his cough has eased, his weight has started to go back on, and his bloods are very much improved... almost normal again.
Thank you everyone who positive thought-ed... it really works, doesn't it?
I have had a lovely day out... I won't tell anyone, not a soul, that we were trying to rattle the doors of a pub a half hour before opening time, lol... well, you would, wouldn't you? So we went off to blooms instead... had a coffee, and chatted, had some lunch, and chatted some more, then had another coffee, and chatted even more, lolol
I met up with Karen in the Desert.... we had a right old natter... well, you might have gathered that by now, lolol! If you are looking in, Karen, thank you for a lovely time.
BC... Oh dear.... poor you..... is little doggie suitably chastised? I did wonder... just a little... which names exactly, you were calling her? lololol
When my lot go back, I don't like clearing up after them.... it feels a bit like wiping out their visit... daft, I know.
I am sorry that your dragon is failing so fast, but also relieved... better that way, than long and drawn out, I think, bless her... such a feisty person to lose that spirit slowly would be dreadful, I think. ((((((hugs)))))
Mummo, it is awful if you can't get back off to sleep.... or if you can't get off in the first place... just lying there while it feels like the rest of the world is out for the count is so frustrating.... is it just a one off, or have you been having a problem for a bit? I do hope you have a better night's sleep tonight.
Jean you will love it, I promise... absolutely well worth it, I am still on a high from it!

Glad you had a good time Daff, I have been busy doing not a lot today, one of those days when I can't settle to anything.
Pleased that L is OK, a worry for him but now he can start to think positively again, hope he recovers his strength soon too, he must have felt poorly with all that going on.

Daff It sounds like you had a good time on your outings. So pleased to hear about your brother.
Have you settled yet Ann, It's strange when you get days like that isn't it?
BC I hope you have recovered after chasing your dog down the street, we once had a dog that was an escape artist. I once looked out of the kitchen window to see him on top of a small conifer just about to jump the fence lol and he didn't even look guilty when I shouted for him to get down lol.

I have always had trouble sleeping but since Ed came home it seems to be worse, probably because as he is sleeping downstairs and l'm upstairs l keep listening for strange sounds, lol. l'm one of those people that can;t seem to shut their thoughts down at night and when l do drop off l'm usually awake within 2 hours then its a restless nights sleep till its time to get up. Good news about your brother Daff, lets hope things improve even more..........positive thoughts for him. Hope you all have a good evening, x

Mummo, you sound like me. Even though Phil is now in care I have restless nights. I couldnt get to sleep last night as my brain was working overtime. I got up again at midnight and came on my computer deleting more old emails. I finally went back to bed at 2 a.m. but then I woke at 6 and couldnt get back to sleep so I will probably be weary today. I just wish my sleep pattern would get back to normal now I dont have Phil to worry about. But at least I am getting more sleep than I did when he was here and if I dont sleep at night I can have a nap during the day.
Huia.

Morning all.... just a brief pitstop.... I'll catch up later.... I have my old girl to get to the vet in a bit, just a check over, she seems to be in good health, coat beautifully clean, and eating reasonably well... but she is losing a bit of weight, she is deaf, she has a few problems with her hind legs at times, and I know that her bones ache during the cold damp weather... but she is 18!! But I want to be sure that she isn't suffering a great deal from her aches and pains..... I couldn't bear to think of her in great pain and discomfort.
I will catch up on all the gossip later, lol

Good morning. Daff, hope all is well at the vets.
Jude, I suspected that your problem was with Yahoo. I said I had problems with it and I only use it for F Book. And Firefox is much better than IE, especially on here. Hope it continues to behave.

Evening all... fairly good news as far as Pol is concerned... she is doing well for a cat her age, but has arthritis in her front leg, and in her hips and back leg... she never ever complains, but I know she finds some things difficult on a cold and damp day... as we suspected, she is virtually deaf... and her teeth are wonderful, lol She has a slight heart murmur, and smallish kidneys... but nothing untoward for the moment
We have to give her some painkilling medication which will eventually affect her kidneys.. it will accelerate her end, but..... it will make her last few months/year or so, much more comfortable. I mean, we were given the choice, obviously... but my life would be pretty miserable some days without painkillers, hers would be so much worse. And I know that quality of life is important..... given a choice for myself, I would take quality over quantity every time. I could do no less for my little girl! lol
So... she is still with us for a good while, I hope... and she will have blood tests every few weeks to check her levels...
I was wondering how Madoc is, Jude.... bless him, he has been very good about wearing it! Pleased you have sorted your pc out.
Maz, thank you.... it was good news, thank goodness..... he will still whinge though.... Lol... he has been on the phone today to have a really good whinge about a minor problem.... no-one has been in so much agony and pain as him.... it is to do with his chemo (it was......... originally) and he suffers so badly with it, I couldn't imagine... I shall leave it to your imagination, but he has it in the singular.... just one.... and most women who have had babies will have had more than that..... lololol
He was a little bit huffy with me, because I couldn't stop laughing at him, lolol.... and then his wife started to laugh as well....... he is disgusted with the pair of us! ;¬))
Huia.... hello, it is so good to see you. It will take a while for your sleep pattern to settle... you had to be alert even when asleep for a good long while, so your body has to re-train itself. As you say, at least you can nap in the day now, and that might be the answer. ((((hugs))))
Mummo, it is horrible, laying awake and knowing the rest of the world is asleep, lol..... I have a string of sleepless/restless nights these days... then a couple of nights where I conk out for hours.... that makes it difficult, lol.... cos my bones and joints ache a bit when I wake up, but it soon sorts itself..... I am going into that phase now... I slept 7 solid hours last night, but could happily curl up and sleep now, too, lol, but all last week I was awake most of the time. I use Nytol then.... it helps a bit. (((((hugs)))) for you, too
Mau, that was a wonderful time he had... he will always remember it.... He sounds a lovely caring young man... don't they grow up so quickly? And without permission from any of us, too!
Ginnie, I have had a brilliant time the last few days... a bit tired now, but nice tired, lolol... I have been sorting out my craft stuff... I will do some of that tomorrow, as it is relaxing.... I am making a card for hubby for Valentine's Day... that'll shock him, I haven't sent him a card for years, lolol!!
Ann.... hope all is well? ((((((hugs)))))
