hello Daff and everyone!
just a flying visit, to say hi from a very blustery south wales! I had an interveiw this morning, and nearly did a Mary Poppins on the way in, it was blowing so much. I gave up with the umbrella and ran!

hope everyone is ok, Daff, glad to hear the results are good - so far anyway!

Weather here not as hot as yestewrday you will be pleased to hear!!! Sunshine and cloud and warm though. Keep thinking of our poor daughter and son in law on a weeks holiday in the L District where they have had a wet week which is such a disappointment when you work and the week is your only break.

Anyway, hope the colds are on the mend *Oh yes they are R*!

Hello mamiddau... I hope the results of the interview were positive!! It has been sunny here, but blowing a gale.

Hiya Ann.... your poor daughter and SiL! As you say., it is such a let down when you only have limited holidays... that's the problem with this country.... we have beautiful scenery, amazing coastlines, most people are friendly... a huge range of cuisine and holiday styles.... but the weather is so unpredictable. So unfair!

Yep, sit tight and wait!! I will have to learn Patience, lololol

I remember going to Tenby years ago as a kid... it rained the entire time.... it was an absolute nightmare.... I vowed never to go on holiday in a caravan again.

Well, best I go for a nosy around the boards. R has just popped out to get some cough mixture (for himself) and some squash (for me). We are having nursery food tonight... corned beef hash and baked beans!!

Hi Daffers - well good news eh? keep up the good work.

Hope R's cold is better - nowt worse than a bloke with a cold (unless it's two blokes with colds! have you notice how they compare symptoms far more than women??)

If it's the meet tomorrow - I hope you all have a wonderful time - sorry I cant be there to join you, but other commitments at present (which arent horticultural, for a change!) so I have to do my duty here I'm afraid. If it's not tomorrow, well I still hope everyone has a good weekend.

Keep wrapped up, because unlike Ann (who's beginning to get on my nerves - lol - only joking) I'm bally freezing despite the sun!!

Daff, I am so pleased you ARE in remission. I know you will stay that way. R wouldnt let you do anything else.

I NEVER burn the dinner, but I did explode an egg once about 45 years ago. It was a while before we came out from under the table and went to investigate what the explosion was in the kitchen. The saucepan lid was still circling slowly in the middle of the kitchen floor when we crept gingerly out to see.

Huia who had a reasonably good sleep last night so is happy with today so far (7.30am)

just keep taking care,summers a-coming.... hope the forecasters have got it right , long hot summer ,cant wait,my Camelia is getting quite strong but its in a tub, I wonder if it needs more space,I will have to keep an eye on it, have agood weekend, love to you both.

Evening Daff:-) Good news from your Consultant and I am sure your strength and spirit will see you through. Had a lovely, long, boozy lunch with Mau and OH and a lot of laughs. They are a lovely couple. Tomorrow I get ready for my Texas cousins who are coming to stay for a few days, so will bid you goodnight. Hope R and you have gotten rid of your colds by now. Jean, we are thrilled to bits!! We have 3 camellia, and all were doing well in tubs..... when they went into soil last year, one of them went steadily downhill... it is now back in a tub until the front is done (starts 19th May) and we shall put it there.... the soil is different in the front.

Morning Huia... glad you had a better night's sleep, and hope tonight is the same. Lol, you've got R to a tee.... although with his man flu he is more concerned with himself just now... he is not used to heavy colds, he normally has light ones... he doesn't usually get a cough, but this time has a hacking one... so do I, but that happens with even the slightest cold, so I am used to it.

Hi Jude... is your kitchen finished now? Ours isn't, lol... it is such a mess.... never mind, I can cope with that, it's the garden I hate being in a mess, so I'll be glad when that is finished.

Jac it is the Shrewsbury meet today..... I would have liked to have gone, but wasn't sure if I would be well enough... how prophetic of me, lol Have a lovely weekend, whatever you are doing.

Our colds haven't gone... we are both coughing for Britain, and my temperature went up last night quite dramatically... not for long though, and by the time I got through to the ward it was back down again.... so I stayed at home, with regular phone calls to the ward with updates.. had it gone up again I would have been in. But it is now absolutely normal, so panic over.

morning all
late on today had to wait my turn my son was home from work early so had to be patient lol still cold wet and breezy here so will be in again the grass needs mowing and some of the hedges but it will have to wait i think again .again I have loads to do for NVQ so will be working hard again for the weekend

Just a thought re your colds and coughs, what about the Vicks vapour rub on the soles of your feet? There were some very good reports about it, if I remember correctly?

Well, if the weather makes up its mind what it's doing, I'll pop into town later on! Ahh! I just realised why we just had a rain shower.....son had W/machine on!!! Smacked botty for him!LOL.

afternoon all! Taff - I had my washing machine on earlier too, so I can take some responsibility for the rain toO!

will know about the job by end of next week........have another interveiw with the same agency for a differnet position on wednesday too........so you all have to keep everything crossed!

Evening all... just to let you know that my temp has shot up... I have to go into hospital for intensive IV antibiotics etc..... I may be in for about 5 days, depending on what shows up, lol!!

So I'll see you all when I get my release papers, lolol!! R will probably give you updates.
