Good morning to you all, Daff , ouch just thinking of pins in toes lolol, we have to be such diplomats sometimes don't we.
BC I hope you enjoy your 'clean sweep' around your flat. I shall do mine when the tree etc gets put away.
I had some books for christmas which I am looking forward to reading, I always have a book list that my family can buy from if they want to at christmas, that way I get my favorite authors.
Well we had snow last night but all gone this morning I am glad to say just drizzly, damp and miserable out now but I am inside all today so am ok.lol
Hope everyone has a good day. byeee~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

BC.... now there is my dilemma, lolol.... us Granny's just have to throw in dollops of love don't we? And of course, this is for Littlie as well :¬S so.... that is why the dolly with the pins in the toes... that's her dancing feet... may they hurt too much to go off and celebrate New Year with her *Old friend new relationship* person....
Havoc, I know.... not very kind of me, but I am a bit cross with her.... won't go into why, and my son is no angel, lol... there have been faults on both sides.... but he would never use his precious little child as a weapon, or to control someone else. In fact, he is trying so hard to be fair to her, that I want to kick him as well, lolol.... I really must change my Christmas name to something more, um, more.... well, more battle-cry-ish!!
Some of the road reports I have read look ok.... others are dreadful... and the last 30 or 40 miles is not very good road, from just outside York to Scarborough. To be honest, I would like to just say *s** it* and make her stay here... she is playing tents at the moment with the cat blanket... it is freshly washed, lol.... I have all her furry toys in the machine... they are almost done, and will go into the tumble dryer... her Peppa Pig bedding will go as well, that is almost done... B plans on leaving about 1... he is still in bed, but awake now, and having a coffee.
Right... Buddy has finished his time in the washing machine, and is ready for his next bit of beauty treatment... a few turns in the tumble dryer will perk him right up, lolol!!
Love
Daff xxxx

Morning everyone,no snow or ice here now but it's blowing a gale! Just waved my Family off....sob...it's been soo lovely having them here and the house seems so empty now.We all had a really nice restaurant meal out last night, but a little earlier to bed than usual ............never had any hangovers Daff, wasn't I lucky? plenty bananas and cold water does the trick ;O) lol Littlie's Christmas present for her mum sounds a loving work of art that will become a family heirloom,I'm sure x
Are you having a tidy up because the meterman's staying for lunch BC? ;O)) ...glad you're able to have walks with doggie in the park again.
Hope everyone has a good day...

I know what you mean Daff, my Ds aren't angels either by any means but have never felt the need to use the children as a control method, sometimes just sometimes pins in toes sounds good lol. I hope B has a good journey back if he decides to go. One of my Ds spent 4 years in Scarborough training to be a teacher ooh that seems such a long time ago now.

lots of posts to read this morning, lovely! pins in toes, hmmm, good idea Daff. Is he keen to risk the journey? I suppose the decision finally rests with Daddy?
I have just spent an hour and ten minutes in the opticians, he was most bemused by my broken glasses but said rimless ones are more vulnerable to breaking. Anyway after checking back my prescription, because I said I had never been happy with them he couldn't see why they were bothering me (before they broke), until I suggested maybe they had not been measured correctly if the person measuring had not made sure the frame was on properly taking hearing aids into account, he then had a light bulb moment and said, 'that would throw them out!' Anyway, I brought my next check up forward 6 months and apparently my sight has changed a very little bit since the last pair and quite a lot since the pair I am using at the moment, which is strange because I am happier with these than the 'new' pair (the broken ones). So, as he was going to have a half price frames sale in January he has let me have mine half price and the new ones are costing me less than the old (broken) ones did 18 months ago!!! And I have gone back to a slightly deeper lense as I didn't really get on with the very narrow lense. I can also have my broken ones done with clear lenses (i.e.not reactolight) for £106 they would have to replace both lenses as otherwise the colour would be different.
It is pretty foul here today, wet and mucky and I would soo like to get hold of the stagecoach driver who drove fast through a puddle as I walked on the pavement.
Have to tell you about conversations heard on the bus yesterday. 1) two lads, about 19/20. 'Oh, yea, he was on B wing too, he got out of Gloucester before I did.................. yea, I got 2 years this time, if I go back in it will be 6' 2) Oh, yea, he got 2 years for nicking a handbag............. it only had chocolate in it hmm'
3) two women on the way home....'Yes the coroner is going to sort it out for us........' (but we don't know what as there was then a lot of noise so we lost the end of the conversation.
Why do people talk so loudly on buses. With the two lads they were at least 6 seats back from us, one either side of the bus, I would have wanted to keep that conversation quiet if it was me but they don't seem to care.

Good morning Daff and all:-) I hope all went well and Littlie is safe and well and you are having a well earned rest.
Dark and gloomy morning, not sure if it's raining but it probably is! The Old Dragon is taking us to lunch today and is bound to complain about something or other being wrong. As long as she gets a few glasses of wine down her she will be ok...lol..
The meterman arrived at 7pm last night and got an earful from me. I complained so much that a voucher is on its way to me:-)) One of the perks of getting old..you just mutter 'old and vulnerable' and they seem to get things done faster!
Ann, I am having problems with my glasses, I cannot see the subtitles on the TV and I am SURE it was ok before. I simply must go back and have another test soon..
I have also done (waiting for the meterman) a load of paper tidying and got rid of stuff I had on my kitchen wall for years! Like plates from Turkey and St Lucia and loads of things I just stuck up. *puffs chest out proudly...
Am off to park now, have a lovely day whatever you are doing.
BC XXX.

Busy busy Daff??? Hope your visitors arrive safely, enjoy your weekend and if I don't speak again A Happy New Year to you and R from us.
Did you get T's e mail?
BC Sounds as if you do need to get a check up (it is free!!!) if you can't read the sub titles, they are quite clear. have to say how pleased I am to see that somebody else uses sub titles, thought it was only me. But don't they make you laugh sometimes? Real gibberish.
I feel virtuous (and k******d today as I cleaned the bathroom, cloakroom and kitchen this morning!) Why is it my kids don't clean up, dust, hoover etc when we visit but I always feel I have to when they visit us??
