Good morning!! What a miserable day!!
BC.... I am still howling with laughter.... I could just picture her!! I remember the first time I heard a woman use the **** word... she was so immaculate, very posh, and beautifully spoken... accent wise, I mean... a soft and gentle Lisburn lilt..... and every other word was a profanity, lolol.... I was shocked and horrified, but it was normal for her, I soon got used to it, and thoroughly enjoyed working with her. Parcel will be re-posted later today, by the way.....
So pleased you had a wonderful time, and hope your sister in law is feeling better soon.
How is your dog? Is she speaking to you, or howling her distress?
Ann...... the red dress is well hidden, lol... I must just remember to put it into her case when daddy takes her back to mummy tomorrow. I am busy getting all her clothes sorted ready to pack :¬(( Yesterday, we sorted out lots of photos... R has got to grips with Photoshop much better than I could, but now he is showing me how to play with it.... so I had taken the most beautiful photo of Littlie Christmas morning.... and then realised what was dangling from her nose... yukkety... anyway, it has now been airbrushed out, beautifully!! By Moi!! I am so very proud of myself!! This means I can re-look at a lot of lovely ones, spoilt because of runny noses etc.... yeh! It does take a long time though, doesn't it? I have started the Christmas one...... I need some more coloured ink before I print them off.... I have far too many lovely photos of her opening her prezzies.... so I have taken photos of all the individual ornaments on my tree, and shall either hide her behind them on a *tree* or print them off on acetate, once I figure out how to do that... and play around with that....... she has to go back before I start though.... she soooooo loves to erm *help* and with her and Jethro *helping* well..... chaos! But fun!
~~~~~~~~ to Maz..... are you enjoying the peace and quiet? We are supposed to be having some pretty awful weather here, too. We'll see!
~~~~~~~ to Mau...... that'll be one heck of a hangover when you do eventually stop partying, lol..... It is lovely to see the family, isn't it? My younger son and older granddaughter will be here on Thursday, going back on Saturday.... they will be accompanied by his new girlfriend and her two children... so we'll have a houseful again... I love it!
~~~~~~~~ to Jude.... so pleased you have had a good time, lovely to see you back, though.
~~~~ to Jean..... I seem to have a jinx on printers and suchlike... everything I get seems to start off well, and then go all temperamental on me, lol! I have a Kodak printer at the moment, and if it is switched off, it won't always restart again...... you have to hold the *on* button and wiggle it a bit.... we thought it was a fault, so took the first one back, but this one is the same... it might be to do with my hands not working properly, but don't think so, as R doesn't always get it to switch on... so it never gets switched off, now!!
Right.... must to do a T**** online order..... and then off to visit yet another relative.... I hope the weather improves a bit, but we shall go to the park, regardless.
Have a wonderful day, everyone
Love and ((((hugs)))))

Oh, and I forgot to tell you....
***preens self proudly*
I am going to be an artist's muse, lolol
Yep, me!!
My niece is doing double Art at A level... she has a project which will follow through her portfolio.... it is the life thingy bit... and she wants to paint me... there will be photographs, and then sketches of my eyes, mouth etc... and then culminating in a proper portrait..... I am off to her house to have the initial photos taken.... and to sit for an hour while she sketches.
She says I have a perfect mouth, and sparkling eyes... and she also wants to paint it with my head bald, as she said I was a beautiful baldie, lol.... she didn't put it quite like that, lol....but that is what she meant... anyway.... there I am all strutting and boastful.... then hubby... oh yes, super quiet, never says very much hubby... points out that in A level art, the portraits are supposed to be of people with a well lived in face........ with character rather than beauty........ well, that's him gone off to work today with no lunch!! lol.... He didn't mean it like that, and he was teasing...... *sighs* but still deserved a thump, lol... he does agree about my eyes, though, lol...... always was my best feature when I was younger.
Love

Hi, Daff, I managed to get the printer going, just needed to the plug to be fully pushed in....lol....printed off 18 pages ( 9 on a page) of the golden wedding pics, now I have no ink !!! but I have to admit I love printing stuff....sad really, but at my age I can do what I like....lol....
When you are famous with your portrait hanging in the Tate Gallery, will you still speak to us, and please can I have a copy?.....
I liked your description best....and are there any christmas photos going free please....thought I would see if I could get back to my original board name and I have........

I am not sure that there is a photo of me, anywhere, Jean, lol... I was the one doing the David Bailey impersonation, strutting my stuff with my new camera, lol... and I have just discovered how to put a copyright on stuff, lololol!! So all my photos will now have that, just in case someone uses them in a way I find distasteful....... however... the load I uploaded last night have cdaff....... far too close to cdiff, which was most unpleasant, lol! ;¬))
I'll see what I can find......... I have some very nice ones of Christmas tree baubles, lolol ;¬))

Well, what a foul day, wet and cold. But we had to go out. First I had to visit the opticians with my 2 halves of my pair of specs. When at son's Christmas day, I picked them up to put them on and one lense just broke, cracked in half!!! Wonderful!! Luckily, and unusual for me - must have had a premonition - I had a spare pair with me, my old ones from nearly 4 years ago. Would you believe I can see better with these than the newer ones I realise? anyway I have an appointment for tomorrow to discuss 'the way forward' with the optician. I would normally be due for a check up in June.
We drove home again and (it was not raining then), we decided to go to Cheltenham to spend my Waterstones voucher and T's M&S voucher. I managed to find 2 books I loked (that was never in question of course), and then we fought our way into M&S where there were loads of things reduced (10s, 12s, and at a push 14s and one or two 16s) Oh I know I didn't have a voucher but you can't blame me for looking. It must be the first time I have looked around M&S and not found anything!!! Neither did T, so he still has his voucher. So, we looked round Boots, nothing worth buying. Went to Wetherspoons and had lunch and a bottle of wine which was pleasant, then back to BHS, looked all round, lots reduced if you could work out what was what. Up to 50% off, up to 30% off, up to 20% off and the amounts off were the lowest of the low, and the items in the money off rails were stuff nobody wanted!!! So we got on the bus and came home, total purchase, two books!!!
Welcome home BC, (missed you there), glad you had a great time and hope doggy was OK.
Aah Daff, Littly goes home tomorrow, that went quickly, still you will get one day to yourself before the second wave. Speaking of waving I did as we passed where I thought R might be today, wasn't sure if he was off this week though so it was a gentle wave!!
Daughter has just e mailed to say she is hoping to book our holiday at the end of March to Andalusia (an exchange with one of her apartment weeks), never been to mainland Spain so will be interested to see if we like it. Have no idea either what the weather will be like then.
Well done with Photoshop Daff, your talents know no boundaries now then.
And ...wow!!! We have a model in our midst!!! Did you have a photo taken when you didn't have hair? Wont it be difficult for her to do if you didn't?
Better get on, not done anything today with going out, boy was that rain cold!!!!

Fancy you not finding anything.... I bet T was amazed, lol!! Yes, R is working today and tomorrow, so I'll let him know you waved, lol!
We have tried going out... stopped off at McDonalds for some lunch, and almost got snowed in there, lol.... so we have come home... it isn't snowing near my sister, but I would be worried about it icing over as the temperature dropped, so I am not going to be sitting for the Mona Bitta today... and yes, she has a few photos taken of me virtually hairless, one in April.... Easter, when I had a very fine soft baby down..... my sister in law took them at a party at G's house. I have also promised her copies of the ones taken at Swansea.... but need to find out who took them so we can ask permission to use them.... I know that my hair was growing back fairly well by then... but it was still a bit of a GIJane, lol
I am really tired.... Littlie's mummy has just telephoned to say that if the weather is bad, would we mind keeping littlie a bit longer as she would be worried that they would get stuck on the way up.
Now... here I am on the WWW and I am going to be very cynical here... but she never batted an eyelid at littlie being driven down here in dreadful conditions.... has been insisting on littlie going back for tomorrow so that she can have one night at home before going to stay at a friend's house from Thursday lunchtime to Friday teatime... while mummy goes off and has a party with old *new* friend at a particular venue.
Problem is.... I happen to know that stopover has needed to be cancelled because the two children in that family are quite poorly.... so there is no babysitter available......now there's a bummer!!
Of course we don't mind in the slightest...... and she knows that, but I have said all along that this will happen, because mummy always goes out on her own, well, with her friends, at New Year... son went with his until Littlie was born, and then he was the one who stayed home with her.
So... It is quite likely that if my little Princess doesn't go back tomorrow..... she'll be going back in a week or so, cos I shall disable my car, lol so that she can't be taken back for a while.
Right.... thank you for letting me vent my spleen, lol..... I feel better now!
I am really going to have to change my name back, aren't I? lolol
Love

Daff, Lol!!! I thought that I remembered you saying it would probably be longer than a week because ******** So, no surprises there then and I hope you can squeeze in the extra bed somewhere. She will have fun with everyone there. But will M maybe miss having you to herself do you think? And I would now send her back when you want to!!!! Actually T didn't seem surprised that I didn't find anything, so much of it was tat!!!! I felt a bit deprived though only having 2 books.

Just popping in quickly before toddling off to my bed......
Jean, thank you for the offer.... I do have them, as Ann says, I just needed to get permission to use them!! Not sure if I have to, but just in case!
Thank you Jude...... my hair was like a convicts, wasn't it? But amazingly soft to the touch... it has grown back very thick, too.
Ann... you will just have to go back out and get some more books, lolol... and if it is cold, order them from Amazon.... I like to rummage through the first couple of pages thopugh.... and you can't do that on Amazon, can you? Nor in Tescos, lol.... there is always a mass of humanity at the book bit in our Tesco... and you get glared at if you settle in for a good rummage through the first chapter. ;¬))
I am off to bed now, so will see you all in the morning... sweet dreams, everyone.

Morning all.... I have just spent 20 minutes scanning the weather charts... if I put in travel..... it gives me the weather conditions for travelling from my gaff to anywhere outside uk... a bit of a bind if you want to travel within UK...
There are severe weather warnings in place for this area.... and some parts of Yorkshire aren't looking good... I have spent loads of time plotting the route, and looking up each individual place.... it doesn't look wonderful, but not bad enough to keep her here, I think..... but that might be partly because I am sitting all cosy and warm in the conservatory, without any snow, and just drizzly rain...... I am off to pack her case now, just as a precaution... and I don't want her to see me, as if she doesn't get to go today, I don't want a distraught little girl.... she is perfectly happy being told that mummy is at work, now... if she thinks she is going home, and then doesn't go... well!! Imagine!
Ann...... wmsl.... I promise, I don't do that to the magazines, lol.... but a book has to grab me by the first chapter..... if it doesn't, I never get around to reading it all... my criteria for buying is that I want to sit down, right in the middle of the aisle, and finish the book off, cos it has just grabbed me! I shall have to wear a balaclava and combats, I think, next time, lolol..... just in case someone recognises me lurking with intent to peruse, lololol
Maz, I caught Jessie (our latest addition, 3 legged tortie) leaping from a *tree* but it wasn't the Christmas tree... I have a triffid in the conservatory... grown from nothing to junglesque proportions in just over 4 years, in a position it is supposed to hate, lol.... and there she was, halfway up it...... as it was toppling over.... *sigh* More mess to clear up.... I make enough of my own!
Littlie and I have finished off the last page of mummy's Christmas present this morning.... it is a stupendous painting of mummy.... Son and I have *scrapped* all her work, plus printed off lots of photographs from when she was a tiny baby right up to a couple I took yesterday...... she has helped a great deal, of course....... so it is a true representation of her own work, although daddy and I helped with little bits over time......... she is, of course, going to be an artistic genius, lololol ;¬)))
Well..... must get on.... flasks to make, sandwiches to cut, and a coldbox to fill with home made soups and casseroles for son's ex..... I shall grit my teeth whilst I am doing so, and I promise I shall wish her no harm..... but I might make and effigy and stick pins in the toes, lolol
Have a wonderful day, everyone, whatever you decide to do with it.
Love

Hehehehehe Daffy....I DO hope you made those soups and casseroles with lots of Luuuurrrve:-)) lol....rotten wet day here but am just glad doggie is still able to walk to the park. I bought a cage for her which she wouldnt get into and I put it on Freecycle. I can't believe how many people have answered!!
I have gas meter man arriving soon and am putting a little order in a few places in my flat. I just love that 'clean sweep' feeling and the surge of energy which accompanies it...it doesn't happen too often though.
Hope all goes well with littlie, whether she goes or stays, hope Gizmo is thriving, Mammidau is having a good rest, Jean's kitchen looks a treat, Ann finds a nice book in Waterstones (has anyone read The Road by the way?) Mummo's Eddie gets better day by day, and Havoc and everyone else who joins in here.....
have a wonderful day:-)
