Morning Maz, I can see you are busy busy:-) Hope Daff had a good rest last night after her Saturday treat ..Simon Cowell! I cannot see the attraction I have to admit, I like my men a bit more...ruffled..his teeth are too even and white and his appeaance too immaculate...lol...I am sure he's a 'friend of Dorothys'.
It is pouring rain here, dog under table shivering so there must be thunder about. Was so sad as my dog's pal from next door, a lovely grumpy Westie died yesterday...we were all in tears and his owner is simply distraught.
On a brighter note, have already devoured one bar of exotic chocolate which I had meant for a Christmas stocking. I had better wrap the others fast as they will be gone too. I have no scruples when there is chocolate in the house!
Hoping there is good news from Mummo today and hope you are feeling much better, bonewise, Daffy, keep taking the pills:-)

Evening all and hello. Not been on for a while get tired by 9pm just cant get used to working full time. Work has kept me busy and even busier this week as we have ofsted visiting, busy running children around for christmas activities etc, hubby been away but back this week. Still have christmas cards to do, secret santas to buy/wrap and other christmas pressies to buy. Hopefully next week can get in the mood as we break up on 18th. Also having problems with anxiety seperation with my 9yr old daughter. Les Mis is brilliant saw it for my birthday in Nov in London, my hubby went with me and now would love to see another show in London. My triplets are ok cant believe they are now teenagers and how far they have come since being born at 26 wks. I havent noticed to much pain with my OA but thats because i have been taking regularly painkillers for toothache so its not got out of hand. Unfortunately though the pharmisist did say that you can only take co-codymaol tablets for 3 days at a time now so it looks like a trip to the drs to find new painkillers. Well must go get things ready for school early to bed as hubby leaving at 4.30am. Take care all miss coming on here. Star

Oh dear.... knuckles rapped, lolol !!
Right.... I slept well last night, didn't get up until gone 11 am.... most unusual for me, lol!
I have painted two units.... a third still needs to be disgorged and prised out of the garage.... all of the Christmas decs and two trees are out of the loft.... I can't put them up until the units are painted and varnished... they'll be done by tomorrow.....
I am now exhaustimicated... son has been having a rant about ex, and I have done the dutiful mum bit and listened... he has been slightly unfair a couple of times , but on the whole... why couldn't he see this before, like everyone else? He thought he had *changed* her... for goodness sake!! Me??? I am off to stick pins in a wax effifgy of her....... and my beautiful little granddaughter will never hear a bad word about her mummy pass my lips!! promise!
BC... so sorry to hear about your neighbours' wee doggie.... I have been so missing my girls tonight. It grabs you every so often, doesn't it?
Mummo... sorry *hangs head in shame* I haven't even been onto the candle site yet, either!! And thank you for the hug.... much needed today, lol... son is 36, by the way...... you expect them to be making their own way, don't you?? He has had a bit of a rough ride over the last couple of years... but he did expect to go back to his childhood when he came home, where mum still did everything, and made everything better..... *sigh* It doesn't work like that in the grown up world, does it? He is now more enlightened, lolol!!
I am now off to my bed.... night everyone
Love
Daff xxxx

Morning Maz (you always get up much earlier than I do!) and morning Daff and welcome back Ann when she arrives and....this is a quick call, am running a bit late. I had to smile, Daff, when you spoke of zipping your lip when discussing DIL with the little one. I am just the same when speaking of the other granny. 'She has lovely blonde hair' says P..'Grey and she looks like a witch' I want to snarl...but I smile and agree. Thank goodness she has the most beautiful and kindest of daughters and I am very lucky she married my son.
I got the Uggs yesterday and after shopping around for a good price, where did I get them? In a little shop at the end of my road..and they gave me a discount! lol
Happy Monday everyone!

Morning all... just back from the rheumatology clinic... my goodness, it's like a cattle market!! A long wait to see the doc.... then another wait for bloods, then another wait at x-ray, lol...... the hospital is 10 minutes down the road, we are literally just back, and my appointment was for 9.15... we arrived a little early as we left at silly o'clock cos that 10 minute journey can take an hour... then there is usually a long search for a parking slot... but nope, traffic was light, and we found a spot right outside the Outpatient's doors, lol
I am off to have a nice cuppa and some lunch.... I'll be back later
Love

Halloooo!! Am back. Nice break, food not brilliant this time, nice room with a view of the marina, good entertainment. Wet when we got there friday, rained off and on all day Saturday - we went to the shops which are just up the road. Sundayw as lovely, sunny and very cold and also very windy. T's nephew and wife came to join us for lunch, they live in N Abbott, which was very pleasant, we spent two hours with them, then we went for a walk and back to the shops. Today it rained nearly all the way until about taunton, stopped until we got to Cribbs Causeway where we visited Asda, then when we came out of Asda it bucketed down the rest of the way home. And there were still idiots on the motorway with no lights. So have I missed anything (besides X Factor and strictly both of which I know the results!
Daff, have you put that sausage casserole on the Culinary thread?? Was everything OK at the Reum. clinic.
BC than you for the welcome back.
Mummo, haven't caught up with your news yet, hope Eddie is improving. Still thinking of him and I did wonder how he was when we were away.

Hello all,
Glad you had a nice break Ann, I think most places have rain today although it did hold off while I was going to the surgery for my blood test and BP check I got back just before the heavens opened.
BC pleased you managed to get the Uggs and with a discount as well.
Daff sometimes as parents we have to know when to zip our lips don't we? Like you we vowed never to say anything bad about our ex s.i.l. in front of the children but when they weren't around his ears must have been red hot at times lol. It's nearly 5 yrs since he had any contact with them just sent a text one day to say he couldn't see them again or help with any money. Think I need a wax doll to stick pins in lol. Some people don't deserve children.
Well hope everyone has a pleasant evening .
Mummo I hope Eddie is improving day by day.

Just popped in to say a quick hello, goodnight, lol
Ann it is lovely to see you back...It sounds like you had a mixed time... it is a shame when the food isn't as good as you expect, isn't it? Still, it sounds as though you had a lovely view, and at least one day when the sun showed it's face, lol
My trip to rheum was pretty good, lol... I have had my hands and feet x-rayed, and loads of bloods taken, full blood count, plus about 4 other things including bone density etc.... I have to go back at the beginning of February.....
She will check all the inflammatory/auto immune thingies, but she feels it isn't that.... she is fairly confident it will be osteoarthritis.... and that the type of work I did will have contributed to it. It will be a relief.... although painful and can be debilitating, it is better than some of the other stuff that was haunting my nightmares last night, lol (memo to self.... do not google the night before a hospital appointment, lol)
I had a bit of a sleep, and then carried on with my painting... I have had to finish now, cos I have run out of paint, lol... I am sure I bought 4 cans, but can only find 2 *sigh* so that is where B and I will go tomorrow, to get some paint. It has taken 3 coats, and still needs a bit of a top up in some areas.... tomorrow I shall varnish the surfaces that will be taking all the rough and tumble... and then tomorrow evening, the two units will be put into place ready to be filled up on Wednesday morning..... leaving room for the other unit to be brought in from the garage, and started... this one won't take anywhere near as long, as it is a bookcase, pure and simple... the other has doors and drawers and fiddly bits, lolol Grrrr!!
Havoc.... shall we sit quietly in a corner and stick pins, lolol!! Oh well.... these things are sent to try us!
BC.... your littlie sounds such a cutie, lol.... they come out with the most wonderful things, don't they?? It sounds like you got a bargain with the Ugg boots... but I did giggle at the image of a foot weary and elbow-grazed BC finally claiming the illustrious prize a spit and a lick away from your own doorstep, lolol Thank goodness you got them, though. Nieces can be a very difficult species, you know, lol!! ;¬))
Maz, It sounds as though you have a very busy couple of weeks ahead of you! I'm exhausted just imagining it, lol
Mummo, I do hope Eddie has continued with his good progress.... softly softly.... each day, just a little bit better!! He has come so far in such a short space of time.
Now... lets go and have a shower and an early night!!
Night all
Love and ((((((hugs))))))

Morning Maz (no I am not following you...lol) and it sounds like you have a very busy day ahead...have fun:-)
Morning to Daff, Ann (back from her travels) Havoc and anyone else who pops in. Grey but dry here, have my lacy thermals at the ready as they say there is a cold snap on its way. Why do they call it a 'snap' I wonder.
Off to the park, so far she (said doggie) drags me there but is reluctant to go the long walk we used to do...*sighs...she will have to go, I need the exercise! lol just joking, I love her weirdness:-)
Have a Happy Day everyone.

orning Maz, what a busy (noisy) day you have ahead, enjoy the fun of the children.
BC, take doggie for a short walk, take her home then you go for the long walk.... simple!!!!
Tell me, why, every time we go away for a weekend do I have about 3 extra pounds to lose when we come back? Not as if we ate a lot really. Hmmmm!! Could it be something to do with the red wine G&Ts and whiskies?

Wotcha cocks!!!
Long time no post, but trying hard to keep up. By the time I've finished reading the posts, its time to get on with something else - where does the time go???
Disaster has befallen me yet again (well, not me exactly but close to home). My brother had a 2nd heart attack about 2 weeks ago, and is still very poorly (although home!) I think it will take him some time to recover from this one, cos he has other problems heallth-wise to content with.
A friend asked me to look after her daughter's two cats whilst she (friend) went away for a couple of days, and guess what? one of them has done a runner!!! (cat, that is - not friend or her OH). It's been a week now and no sign, despite searches, flyers through doors, posters, Jac walking through the village shouting Peanuts at the top of her voice. At one point I thought the men in white coats were coming for me.
No joke really...............as the owner of the cats is on holiday for 2 months in the Far East. She does however know that Peanuts is missing (apparently the cat has done this sort of thing before, but not for a week at a time). I guess there is still hope, but its fading fast.
I'm guilty as charged of being unfit to look after cats, aint I? I'll never do it again, that's for sure.
Anyway, in case I dont get on here before the "occasion which is coming faster than I can cope with" - Happy Christmas everyone - may you enjoy the company and love of your families, receive tons of useful presents and stuff your faces full of all those things which wont do you one bit of good in the long run, but are simply delicious!
Take care all - Bi for now
Jac xxxx

Oooh you little lush, Ann..... I have decided that Alcohol is not worth the effort, lol... it so affects my tummy for a couple of days.
I am off shopiing fairly soon... son and I will have lunch out, as well.... he has to drive me as I have let my photo licence lapse... I forgot all about it, lol... I have to have the photos taken today... I have been a couple of times to have them taken, but the booths have been broken... and then forgot.
I also have more paint to buy, and am sure there is loads more I need to be doing... we'll go and get some Christmas prezzies for Littlie, as well.... aw!!
BC... we do *wierd* (that word, I never know how to spell it!!) very well in this house... we are not sure whether we turn our pets odd, or whether odd pets attach themselves to us, lol... but we always love 'em to bits!!
It sounds like you have a busy day ahead, lolol, Maz... I do miss the days I worked in the school, all the hustle and bustle leading up to Christmas.
Well. i got interrupted by a phone call... I am now back, but have to go out again! lol
See you all later
