Only you could run out of words Daff!!!!
Well done booking the ice skating, something to look forward to. glad I tempted you. We have actually seen Cats twice but it is not our favourite. It is very clever though.
So not a good day for R T had his car serviced yesterday so that was another £220.
Why did you have to have the BP tablets changed? were they affecting the arthritis? Lets hope the new painkillers work then. So if you are off with the fairies more than usual we shall know why.
Can't stand J Ross either, nasty little man in my opinion.

lol at Daff running out of words! So sorry you have been in pain and hope the new ones do the trick. We shall forgive you if you talk nonsense:-))
Just got drenched as I finally ventured out (did I mention I ate a whole packet of Figs and felt reluctant to leave the sanctuary of my bathroom for a while?) I cannot resist figs, fresh, tinned or dried and just love Figrolls....hehehe.... I had to buy a Pandora charm for my niece and she gave me exact details so it was easy.
I now have to bubble wrap the bamboo tree:-)) Daff I can understand you have had bad experiences in London and isn't it strange how the BAD memories stick in our minds? But you will thoroughly enjoy your next visit and we can have cocktails on my patio.
Yes both JR AND the meagre lights were a letdown. He is not on my Christmas Card list either, I think he has a company round here which is probably why he was roped in to do it.
Well done girls for booking ahead...sounds fun!
OK I have dillied and dallied enough...must get down to Christmas Card writing or summat.....

*cartwheels through the thread* (in my dreams, lolol)
Ann, because of the cough... my troublesome little cough disappeared when I was off all the tablets, during and for three months after my last lot of chemo... but it has come back, and lisinopril is the cause of it... it is known as *lisinopril cough*.... plus, the oxy wotsits can reduce the cough reflex.... anyway, I now have a tablet called Bisoprolol....... lololol! ;¬)) and need to go back in a month for him to see if all these tablets are playing nicely together, lolol ;¬))
My Rheumatology appointment has come through.... they just phoned me... GP said he was going to ring them and see what was happening, so they moved quickly, lol... I have an appointment for next Monday... I am impressed... 18 months last time, and I never got an appointment... I must get my docs... I don't think she referred me, the senior partner in the practice!
BC... I will look forward to that!! Erm.... how big is the bamboo tree?? Bubble wrap? Are you taking it, or sending it? And yes, you're right... it is always the bad memories that stay in our minds! I will work on banishing them!! *closes eyes and imagines self in lotus position* Oh.... and yes, you mentioned it on another thread, I think, lolol The Fig-a-Rhea effect, ;¬))
Right.... must go and tweak the chili.... R is hovering around the kitchen, and I do not want him to touch it, stir it, breathe on it etc etc!! It is turning into a right good 'un! Just sent B out to get the guacamole and yoghurt... salsa in the cupboard already, yummy!!
Love

Oh I fancy chillie now (Daff's chillie) and we have got pork chops in the slow cooker in a mushroom sauce!!
I must admit to liking London but wouldn't want to live there. When we lived in Clifton Beds I thought nothing of getting on the train and going shopping on my own up there, had no fear of tubes. Never hacked the buses though. Not been for ages until we went to the O2 last year.
No heard of either of those BP tablets, mine is amlodopine (plus Bendroflumafluazide (try saying that quickly!)
So the 18th is OK then? If you have your appointment through?

Hiya Ann..... yep, the 18th is on, lolol!! The chilli is pretty darned good, even though I say so myself, lolol!! Mind you, yours sounds lovely... food that someone else has made always does, doesn't it?
Oh, and I have Amlodopine as well... 5mgs... a real junkie, I am, lolol!! I have been on drugs for bp since I was 33 and a trim size 12, lol..... and have had a high bp since the very first time it was ever taken when I was 17.... I know that I have a bit of white coat syndrome...... I was fine when I was in hospital though, and was off them most of the time I was having chemo... strange how our bodies work, isn't it? Lisinopril is an ACE inhibitor.
R has been looking at all the side effects, lolol..... tiredness, fatigue... not again!! These new BP drugs are Beta blockers... I have been on those before, and they just don't suit me! Lets see how we get on for a while, now, then.
Right.... let's go and dish up!!

Beta blockers don't suit a lot of people I have always been fine on the two I take (the bendr whatsit is a diuretic) except I do suffer with swollen ankles in the evenings which I believe is a side effect. been on them now for about 10 years..
Good will look forward to the 18th. that looks like being a good week. Daughter's for the weekend on 12th/13th, carols at the golf club on 14th, Golf club Seniors Christmas dinner on 16th and you on 18th.

lol Ann.... enough time to get over a hangover, lolol!!
I was on the bendrofluorizide (I think!!) twice... once years ago... and the second time for about a year...... like you, swollen ankles with them, and ended up dehydrated, lolol... beta blockers always whack me out....... I get so dreadfully tired on them... GP says that this is a bit of a new breed and they may not be so bad, but I have been reading up on them..... not too sure at all!! Oh well, I'll give them a try...... watch this space!
Dinner was lovely, and I am now stuffed, lol.... I might go and sit in bed soon.... I am most comfy there at the moment.... I have my codewords I can while away some time with until I fall asleep.
Night night.... Mummo, I hope you have better news when you see Eddie this evening xxxxxxxxx

I actually thought that diuretics were supposed to stop swollen ankles!!! Not been dehydrated though and they do seem to keep the BP down, can't win can we?
Yes pork was nice too.

Morning all.... a beautiful day here, sun is shining... blue skies... although it rained a lot in the night... I was awake most of it, lol... those new painkillers made me itch, lolol... I was scratching like a flea ridden mutt!! I had to wait until the four hours after I took the painkillers before I could take the antihistamine (not supposed to take them together, sigh)
Not much on the menu today, I am afraid... my achey bits are quite a bit better, so have just gone back to paracetamol... B and I have moved a chest of drawers into his room.... and he is in the process of moving all of littlies toys into her room...... they are scattered around the house at the moment.
Ann, received your card this morning, thank you, it is beautiful.
I am going to paint a unit in a mo..... you think I'm bad with glitter, you should see me with paint, lolol... I get covered. But it is very therapeutic, is painting.... and it is that or scrub the kitchen floor... no contest, really, is there?
Have a lovely day, everyone

Lovely day here too but cold and damp underfoot. Got to pack for the weekend but not much else to do really today. We were going to meet friends for coffee but as he had a bug and was quite poorly the beginning of the week and his wife thinks she may have it, it was cancelled (we certainly don't want to get it), so we popped round for the papers and had a coffee in the garden centre. After reading the front page of the local paper which says that T***o is after the garden centre site!!! Couldn't find out anything except there is a meeting this afternoon. We thought that the family running the garden centre now had actually bought it but we think now that it was bought by property developers and is only leased to the family. We shall see what happens (read it in the Citizen on line Daff) T is now washing down the patio etc for the third time, still trying to shift brick dust. Then he has to have a go at the top of the conservatory.
Glad you liked the card Daff.

I am off back to bed for a while... al the prep work has been done on the unit, but I am now knackered, lolol!! I'll finish it off later.
I'll keep an eye out for that, Ann.... why would T**** want a spot there? I suppose they'll put one of those mini store thingies there, like they have down wotsit way... my mind has gone blank... main road out of Glos, going towards Quedgeley, but before you reach Tuffley??? I think!

We have finally reclaimed the conservatory,so now I can get at my craft stuff.... but still have to finish upstairs, but you cant see that !!!!, have you all done your Christmas shopping? I managed a couple of gifts, and some goodies to eat... always a quite time at our home, so not a lot to arrange... we are going to share in the Chris Tingle service at the church we used to go to, it is quite close to home, and we are thinking of going back permanently,we are always made very welcome when we go back....
Ann, our conservatory roof gets what looks like algae on, we have it power cleaned , but were told there is a silicone ,not sure if it liquid or has to be painted on, so we will look into that after christmas...which stops it...
Daff, hope you are feeling better with the new medication, what have you asked Santa to get you for christmas? and what is the littlies having?
J has just made me lovely prawn butties, he is a love....so bye for now..
