Good morning everyone. Daff you keep that fighting spirit up until Monday, And R too. You will have to demand a 'recount', or get your solicitor to sort it. Would land registry help?
Jac, it takes ages to accustom yourself to a 'missing' pet doesn't it, I swear I sometimes see one or other of our cats walk across the bottom of the stairs, or in the conservatory.
BC that was an elaborate dream, black cloaks and gold hotels --- Halloween perhaps?? And I am wondering if you ever found the loo??? (*wipes spit off clothes)
Mamiddau, where are you?

Good morning All...miserable misty day here ,wish we had your sun Daff.
Jac. hope you get heating sorted,it was very cold last night.
Sorry you're having trouble Daff.Council planners are such a pain, we also had bother when OH laid the drive. They came and passed the job to their satisfaction, then months later sent letter to say 'no the the plan'? This was 20 odd years ago and never ever heard from them again! sometimes think one dept. doesn't know what the other is doing! Good luck with your 'fight' sure common sense will prevail,why would they object to flowers fgs.
Great dream BC ...when you woke up did you have to fly to the loo? in your cape ;O)
I went to bed last night (as you do lol ) suffering from a frozen shoulder,think I must have pulled a muscle in keep fit, still bad this morning. Had one before so if it doesn't go away I'll ask doc (as a last resort) for cortisone injection.
Have a good day everybody Mau XX

Ouch Mau!!! That is very painful indeed...see I told you exercise was bad for you! I suppose it happened when you did the back flip in the Tango:-) My sister in law is having great treatment from an Amatsu healer...she has really been suffering with her back and sciatic nerve but this healer has done wonders...maybe you could find one in your area?
Ann, I never did get to the loo! It's like when I dream of a train or plane I never quite get there in time!
Off now to get things done...or otherwise:-)
Mau, take care...BCXXX

*staggers onto thread with head in hand and those cartoon whirly things spinning around*
I have spent all day trying to work out the difference between open space and open plan... and how my deeds mention neither, but I am told by the planning dept that I am the proud possessor of open space... even though they have not completed the required *Open Space Survey*...... seems a lot of us might find that we have acquired an open space, lol
Off to cook dinner... and have a large red wine... if my bonce is going to spin like this, I want it to be for an enjoyable reason, lolol
*Nods sagely*.... my mum did that, BC.... yep, she only just made it in real life... she howled with laughter as she was telling me, lolol
Aw Jac.... I still have my Belle on the unit in the lounge.... and Bonny, Sadie and Twt are on top of my wardrobe... can't put Belle in with them, as she frightened poor Bonny to death... Bonny was a German Shepherd.
I miss them all every single day, and say goodnight to them.... I have a spot for them in the garden.... but still can't bring myself to put them there. They leave such a huge hole when they go.
Ann, we are all calm... just exhausted, now... R is used to it, as he sort of does this sort of thing anyway... but I kept getting dizzy...... I'll try Land Registry on Monday... and the solicitor as well... more pennies down the drain... that's my kitchen budget gone again, lol!!
~~~~~~ to Mau... the objection is to do with the fact that from the road, you look up my front garden.... and at the end of it is a whacking fence, two diseased Horse Chestnuts, and five stunning oak trees..... daffs wouldn't be in keeping.... and they seem to think that our front has an access to that bit... which it doesn't... unless you count where the yobs have kicked a hole in the fence, lol We'll sort it, one way or another, though!
Right.... must go and do some food!!
Love
Morning everyone.... well, I slept right through the night, like a good little babby... didn't even wake for the loo visit, lolol...9 hours solid!! I only had the one glass of wine, no painkillers, and no *sleep aid* or Nytol.... so purely natural sleep.... I feel absolutely wonderful and ready to face the world, lol......... I am clearly a bit of a scrapper at heart, lol
Well... back to my research for an hour or so... roast lamb today, later on.... but someone will have to go and get the lamb and the potatoes... and bread and milk (again) and stuff for sandwiches for R tomorrow.... think I might make a soup... what do you fancy? I fancy oxtail... but they are difficult to make without... well, oxtails, lol..... although I have made it with mince before now, and that was quite good, but it's best with oxtail, so rich.
Oh.... need tinned tomatoes, too. This shopping list is getting longer and longer, lol
Off to see what has been happening overnight...... then get stuck into research!
Love
hello!!!!!!
OMG!!!!! I can't believe that the week I start my WONDERFUL new job, I get the worst cold I've had for years! I'm coughing all the time, and really don't feel very well!
The job is fab though, Sorry I dashed off so quickly ladies...I have requested a notebook, or laptop from santa for Xmas, cos my OH has hogged the computer over the last few evening, so I have't been able to get on and see you all! I can do it on my phone, but it takes so long, I get fed up!
I've seen most of the messages, but haven't finished reading, so hope everyone is still well!!!!!
My in laws are coming for christmas...so my lovely OH has booked us into a local restrauant for christmas dinner so I won't have to cook! yay!
anyway......gonna finishing reading the thread.....I'll be back! lol! xxxxxxxx
I see i posted prematurely!! hope all the feet are ok today!!!!
I have been shattered, but more to do with this blasted cold than the actual job....its such a change, but something I would never have done if my situation hadn't changed so much this year! I'm still wrangling with my ex-employers, who have employed some downright dirty tactics recently, thank goodness the union got me such an amazing solicitor, he has been incredible...! anyway........thank you all for your concern...sorry I worried you all! sending you all huge hugs! xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
*Slaps Mamiddau's wrist (very very gently) for worrying us all* lol
Aw bless you.... hope you are feeling better soon........ it stinks when that happens... I used to get a cold with every new job, and every housemove.... I think our stress levels lower our immune systems and let the nasty little bugs in (was going to make a play on words there, but thought better of it, lol)
I don't know what happened with your previous job.... but shall we go and get them? We could sort them out.... BC and Ann are brilliant in a scrap.... I have some tactical knowledge, having been married to a squaddie for so long..... and I know all about *Open Space v Open Plan* in a legal sense.
Oh... and is your solicitor dishy???? That always helps.... mine is lovely, but about 4ft 5ins, and female!
Well... pleased to see you , anyway........ I am sort of wondering about whether to start looking for work of some sort... R is horrified, lol.... not sure what I would do, though.
Love and ((((((((hugs))))))))
sorry daff! am hanging my head in shame! I'd love to "get em" - especially 2 people! My solicitor is lovely, am not admitting whether he is dishy, in case OH should read this! lol! He is Super efficient, and allowed me to be all panicky and drama queen when I needed to! Am hoping all will be sorted soon, but i'm putting you all on standby just in case!!!!
This is a total career change for me, and I'm quite excited about it. Daff - go for anything that takes your fancy.....! but only when your docs and R agree you are ok too!!!!!
Never mind the craft table Jean, will there be room for clothes? Or you even?? It is certainlyw ell stuffed.
Glad the job is OK Mamiddau, not that I can remember for the life of me what you did before or what you are doing now.
It is a foul day here now, wet, cold and dark and miserable. We went to B&Q this morning for a shelf and popped into Home Sense for a look around, bought a few bits. Just off to have lunch then do a few more cards.
Daff, don't you dare get a job until the doctors say you can, you don't need the stress of learning a new job. If you are bored why not do some charity work. That way if you find it is too much it is easier to give up.
Lol Ann... that is sort of the thing I was thinking of... my GP seems to think I may well be long term disabled... and also, the Top Doctor Man says that I am entitled to my DLA even though I am feeling ok much more of the time... until the two year point at least. But I am beginning to feel that I could manage a little *something else* as I am just flitting from one thing to another at the moment.....
R says that researching all this legal stuff is enough to be going on with... I signed onto another site last night.... excellent, they have already given me some very good, practical advice, and pointed me in the direction of where to look, and what legal terms it would be couched with, so I am feeling a lot better.
R has just got back from the shopping trip.... I have been stuck under a huge pile of printouts with masses of highlights and comments written alongside... he and I look for similar stuff... but he focuses (sp) on different things to me... so between us, we get a much more rounded picture... but he gets through it quicker, as I can no longer skim read, as I used to be able to do.... I have to read it all very carefully.... takes ages!! I have just finished one document 258 pages long!!
Love
Strange that, I used to be able to skim read much easier than I can now, out of practice I guess but as a trustee I get loads of complicated stuff to read re legalities of employment, charities, H&S etc and it takes me ages for it to sink in!!! The joys of getting older.
You go on with your DLA I am sure that you could give a lot usefully to a charity. You could even apply to Reach if you were serious and they might come up with a charity in your sphere. Pity you don't live nearer you would make an excellent Trustee for Glos Lifestyles.
By the way we have lamb tonight as well.
Aw Ann.... thank you!! That has given me some ideas, though.... I shall start having a look around... there isn't much out there for survivors of AML, so maybe I could try there first... mmmm!! I did wonder about becoming a Magistrate, lolol.... they were advertising for them a couple of weeks ago, lol......... better not, at the moment! ;¬))
By the way... that comment in the last pm... was really helpful... it sort of cleared the haze for us!! No more conspiracy theory!!
Afternoon Daff and all:-) and good to see Mamiddau is enjoying her brand new job even though she has a cold...tsk tsk..aint that life! ..Rather dull day here today and, as usual,I have left everything to the last minute. Must now rush round and prepare beds and do some dusting and shopping as family arrive early in morning. Am so looking forward to seeing those little faces again...and the big faces of course:-) lol... Daff, you would be a perfect Magistrate as indeed would Ann...maybe you could do a double act, like a timeshare at the bench or something?
Well...*reluctantly* ....must go and do things....mwahh to all BCXXX
Not sure I would make a good magistrate BC, not tolerant enough. Also I have this rather funny attitude that says punish the wrong doer not the victim.
