Morning all.... well, the weather looks set to continue!! A little cloudy at the moment, but trying it's hardest to brighten up.... hasn't it been a glorious couple of weeks?
Today I have a fairly busy day ahead.... a long letter to our solicitor re caravan man..... then phone Hunky Landscaper to see if he wants to come and do my very front bit of garden now..... lol
Phone calls to local Authority and Land Agency to let them know of our plans - we don't need planning permission, just to inform them, but I want to ask a few questions as well.... they have been very helpful in the past.
Sort out my car insurance so B can drive her.......... I did all the trawling for the best deals last week and over the weekend, so know where I am going.... well, staying, actually, lolol!!
I am awaiting the arrival of 100 proper old-fashioned bluebell bulbs...... I do hope they arrive today..... that'll give me plenty to do. We are putting some under the trees..... but also some in pots, as the front bit will need those next year.
Yesterday, I hunted around for some photo frames.... I tarted them up, and then B trawled through my photo selection, picked out his favourites, and I printed them off.... he now has his room full of stunning pictures of littlie laughing down at him!!
Now.... must go and get motivated... R has gone back to work today...... I love him being home, so always miss him when he goes back after a break. Sad, innit? lolol
Ann..... I do hope your head isn't as sore today as mine was yesterday!!
Maz,, fingers crossed for Gizmo!!
BC...... you've been busy! There is still loads to do in my garden.... everything seems to be having a final little splurge, and I am reluctant to cut stuff back!! But that also means that the weeds are having a final fling as well... pesky things.... they keep popping up all over the place.
Mamiddau.... I have loads of caterpillars I'd love squashed!! They are very tiny ones, but they decimate the shrubs they are on in a matter of hours.... I don't like to use insecticides, because of the bees... and why is it that we plant stuff to attract butterflies, and then the ungrateful creatures allow their offspring to devour them? Mmmmmm something wrong there!
Right.... off to make a list of *things to do* lolol!!
Love
Daff xxxxx

Daff, I am fine, no after effects at all Lol!!!! Must be more used to it than you are!
T at golf this morning so like you am missing him as we have spent the past eleven days together without a break. Hmmm, probably wouldn't have lasted so a breather is good!
Nice for B to have all the photos of S in his room, must make him miss her more, hope she is coping without him as well.
Looks like a busy day for you, I have just put out a pile of washing, now have to go and make an appointment with nurse to remove stitches (Ugh!). And have a parcel to post for my Gt Niece's baby (to my sister who will make sure she gets it OK). Sister comes home today from Turkey, did I tell you she went parascending!!! Rather her than me but she said it was great.
Best get on Ann xx

Morning all!
Lovely to read all your news - family stuff, gardening etc.
Not such a nice morning here - rather overcast and a decided nip in the air. "Goose Fair" weather as they say up here!
Off in a moment to visit friend who is not feeling well: she had (hopefully) her last course of chemo. on Wednesday, and is now in the "dip". I'm taking her some fresh veg from the allotment - some dinky little designer dwarf beans (all green and pink) which are delicious, baby leeks, cherry toms. pots. and some Glutney!
"Glutney" - that which you make when you have a glut of produce - lol
Dont go overdoing things any of you: bide your time as my old Welsh Grannie used to say. Mind you, she was full of saying was old Ida - her favourite being "laughing will only come to crying" - lol lol Shouldnt speak ill of the departed I know, but she was a bit of a misery!
You all take care.
Bi for now

Morning Daff, Mr Daff and Everyone:o)
Beautiful day here again, but defo chillier in the mornings and evenings:o((
Fingers crossed for granddaughter in the morning:o))
Vic ended up doing 9 miles, he's not been on any walk yet that is as they say, there is always atleast and other mile. He had 50 walkers on his walk, apparently each yr all the local groups get to gether and they have a choice of a 5 or 8 miler. They all finish with a buffet arranged by the leaders etc of each group, so he was well impressed......but was'nt hungry when he got home......and l'd slaved over a hot stove cooking a roast brisket!!!! he did eat some in the end though!! :o))) l'm cooking the rest up into rissole's for us and the 2 lads next door:o))
Daff.....sorry l obviously had'nt caught up properly and had'nt realised your son has split with his partner. Do hope all sorts itself out, but still nice to have him home.
Is anyone else like me????........it sometimes takes me ages to type out a post, l make so many mistakes, some of the words are complete gobbledygoo and l have to go back, in this last paragraph l have altered atleast 6 things....grrrrrr....yet another time l almost type without mistakes.
Off't make another cup of tea:o))
Have a good day everyone:o)

Daff I so wish I could see this little baby, still don't know what his name is but he is gorgeous in his photo.
Yes Jac, Glutney is a great name !!!
Well, I never ever thought she would do it, she did mention it some time back but I couldn't imagine her doing it. Not sure if I would have the courage to do it or not. She said it was beautiful and peaceful up there and nice and cool compared to down on the ground where it was very hot.

Hi there. My English relative who visited NZ 7 months ago did a tandem parachute jump here. She loved it so much that when she got back to England she wanted to do another for charity. She is 'only' about 77 yrs old I think. I now have an email from her saying she was filmed doing it and she had to pretend she was scared, even though she was enjoying every minute of it. So if you see it on TV that is my dads 2nd cousin. Her niece is actually a member of GR but doesnt seem to post on the boards.
As for walking 8 miles, I have done plenty of that and more in my time, but not now. 25 yrs ago we walked the Milford Track. That is a total of 32 miles I think. It took 3 days. The first day is easy going. The 2nd day is a steep climb up to the McKinnon pass and an even steeper descent. The 3rd day is fairly level but with lots of big rocks to negotiate. It is also the longest stretch and you have to be at the wharf by a certain time or you miss the ferry into the Milford Sound. Of course, the mozzies might just carry you there if you are lucky but they are more likely to eat you on the spot.

Jean I shall wish for good weather for you. Glad you are feeling better, hope your holiday does the trick. Where is this one?
Daff, yep, all done, well dressing still on as otherwise bra strap rubs, well it rubs anyway but with a dressing it is a bit better. No wine tonight but a glass of sherry.

evening all!
Ann - glad your arm ok, have a LARGE glass of red, that'll definately sort it! lol!
Jude - glad V enjoyed..am sooooooo lazy - especially when it comes to things like "proper" walking - mind you, am so flipping clumsy I can fall over when I'm in trainers on a very flat surface!
My sister did a tandem sky dive for After Adoption a couple of years ago, I think I was more freaked out than she was! Huia - good on your rellie - I know I am not brave enough....now - would love to think that in 40 odd years I'll have plucked up the courage! lol!
Daff - hope your son is coping ok, and that you are not doing too much pampering!
Maz - glad Gizmo is on the mend...! bless 'im.
Jean - take it easy, don't do too much too soon! Enjoy your holiday!
~~~~ to everyone I missed! lol!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mamiddau Sherry was fine, shoulder still sore but it will soon get better I'm sure. Of course it is not helped by typing on here, you don't realise how much you flex your shoulders when you do things.

Well, I really DO live a very sheltered life lol What with parascending, parachuting, and ALCOHOL, you really are a bad influence on me pmsl
Hope you are all well. I've not been on much lately, but have still been thinking of all my friends here.
Sending you all good wishes.
