that sounds like a great place to visit Ann,we have two such centres near here mainly garden stuff, but very popular also with a cafe and clothes dept selling jewelry, some carft stuff in fact it sells food stuff as well,
finally got my eye date 16th march , but I have had to cancel a dental visit today, due to vertigo I woke up with it , I hope to get to the dentist tomorrow, I woke up two days ago to find half my front tooth missing no pain but very sharp like a fang....lol... so no doubt that will cost a few pounds....
we finally sorted out the funerals and paid for them , its a relief now D wont have any hassle when its time. the bank account is looking a bit thinner...
I have talked J into buying me an early birthday present, its a new stamp tool it enables you to place your stamp exactly were you want it so no more wonky stamping I first saw one very much the same on youtube, it was called Misti only available from the states this one I am getting is in the u.k. and much cheaper should be here by friday I have some new verses so that will handy....

Some sun here today but also light cloud 9 degrees but a nip in the air. We have been to a small local garden centre for our small number of early potatoes, they specialise in literally hundreds of different varieties. We are growing Wilja and vivaldi both second earlies this year. Wilja was good last year, we only have 9 potatoes in all to grow in containers, we just like to have a couple of meals off them.
This is an interesting garden centre as it also has something called the Butterfly Garden, This is a project for people of all ages dealing with disablement of any kind. (www.thebutterflygarden.org) This has been running since 2002. Initially it was just about gardening but now has all sorts of things people can do from cookery to dance. The provision is free with people neither paying or being paid. People go there from schools and colleges, care centres, residential homes, support organisations referred by family, friends, S Services or the NHS or they just find the place. It always seems such a happy place.

Patience is certainly a virtue these days with hospitals Jean, I am waiting for an appointment to get new tubes for my hearing aids.
Your meal sounded tasty, well done D for looking after you both.
I gave quite a lot of surplus stuff to my neighbour who works in an infant school, she said theyw ere always pleased with that sort of thing and it soon gets used so I am sure they will be pleased with it.
:-D :-D I am sure we are all fiends, but I am equally sure you meant friends :-D :-D Take care and happy stamping/card making.

Goodness nobody posted for 12 days.
Jean I bet it was quite exciting searching through all that stuff. I hope you are managing to stay warm. It is very cold here today, no snow just rain and sleet but not nice at all.
We had an exciting morning this morning! we went out and bought OH...... A vacuum cleaner! He chose a Hoover that he had researched on the net, and it was even more exciting for him when we got to the till (Sainsbury's would you believe) and it was £20 cheaper. Just an upright one, lighter than our old ones but with no bag and a long tube that he can clean the stairs with. He was so excited with it than as soon as we got indoors he did all the floors downstairs. The upstairs one will now go to the tip as it is clapped out and the downstairs one will go upstairs.
Then I went into Hobbycraft and spent the £10 voucher I had from son's lot for Christmas, total after the voucher came to £3.25 so I was very restrained. Not that they had a lot I needed, Just bought three pens, a sheet of Easter stickers, two stamps that were £1.20 each (small ones) and a reduced sheet of green and red gems (ex Christmas.)
As I said, exciting morning. Got roast pork tonight, bought the joint reduced in the week and put it in the freezer and amazingly remembered to get it out yesterday.
Hope you are keeping going with the card making Jean and that your eye appointment comes through soon. :-) :-)

Oh Sallie, I totally agree with Ann, please don't give up on your knitting for baby. Once baby is born Christie's attitude should change, becoming a mother does do things to our hormones, and after the birth, god willing her attitude will change, with her hormone levels becoming more normal. Poor Richard is tuck in the middle, and no doubt worries about you both. Bless you sweetheart, I want to give you BIG CUDDLES. Brilliant news about Alun's results, I bet he feels like a new man now.
Ann how the kitchen coming along now ? I bet you will be glad when it's all finished.
I know it's a regular question, but how is the weather where you all live. It's still very very cold here, my friend had to de-ice the inside of her car last night, before she could go home. I am wondering if the seals on her screen has come adrift, causing the freezing inside. It went down to minus 4 last night, I was glad to crawl into my bed to get warm.
Bye for now girls, stay warm and safe.xxx

Goodness Sallie, that is a lovely long post from you. Lovely to hear all your news, especially that Allun is doing well after his op, that must cheer you up a little.
Oh dear, it must be hard for you coping with Christies illness as well as your own. I am not surprised that how she has been with you has affected you but I am sorry that it has set you back. have you had problems with her before like that. I suspect that her hormones are causing the current problem due to the pregnancy, is Richard having problems with her too? I hope that she doesn't subsequently suffer with PND poor girl. I wouldn't worry about what she says about you and the baby, she won't mean it, but maybe keep anything you buy for the baby until it is born. And don't stop knittling the blanket. Richard is going to feel caught in the middle so forgive him if he seems to be siding with Christie.
I hope as the spring comes along with brighter, warmer days and lighter evenings, you will start to feel better.

Hi girls,
Hope that all is well with you all. Still having problems with our laptop, sometimes it's okay for a short while and another time it keeps cutting out. lol!!
Alun seen the Consultant Cardiologist at the Royal Derby Hospital on Wednesday, just had an assessment on to make sure that there are no further problems with his heart, especially as there is a history of heart disease on his mother's side of the family. Everything is fine and he told us that Adam the Consultant Surgeon has done a very good job, so he was pleased about that. We were shown the pictures of the echocardiogram, showing the blood flow through the arteries and of the repair to the mitral valve. He has to go for another echocardiogram in 18 months months time just to make sure that there there won't be anymore problems.
Ann, hope that your kitchen is done by now and that both you and Tony are pleased with it. Also hope that you are both feeling better.
Jean, so sorry to hear the sad news about your friends, may they both rest in peace.
Hope that J's thumb is getting better, so easy to fall at this time of year with frost and ice . It's so cold here like the rest of Britain, I just want to stay in and keep warm.
I can't get over that Charlie is nearly five and that he will soon be starting school. Hope that J and D are getting along okay and that you are not too bad yourself and managing to cope.
Sylvia, hope that both you and OH are feeling better from your colds and that all is going along alright for you both.
I didn't realise that M J will be seven in March, can't believe how quick the years are passing by.
Liz, I hope that you have managed to persuade K to go and see the doctor so that they can find out what the problem is and that they will soon sort it out and treat it , so that he will feel a lot better
Also hope that things are not too bad with you at the moment and are managing things a bit better.
Like you, I will also be 70 in July and of course Alun and I will be married 50 years in August, although I don't think we will be doing anything to celebrate it. We mustn't forget either, that Sylvia and her OH will also be married 50 years on the 12th of August.
Mo, are you still playing darts? Hope that you are managing to as it gives you something to look forward to each week and to meet up with your friends. Hope that Roly is going along okay and able to get about okay and that he isn't having any problems with his joints.
So pleased that you are still able to both Lilly and Ava sometimes, I'm sure that it must hurt both you an Roly not to be able to see them as much as you did in the past.
I have had problems since August with both Richard and Christie.Like me Christie also suffers with with depression, anxiety and BPD, but where I I get angry with myself and blame myself for everything when it isn't even my fault, Christie gets angry with other people and blame them for things that they haven't done or said. We talked about it with Richard because Christie wouldn't talk to me about it. So since August I have relapsed into deep depression and generlized anxiety disorder again and also relapsed into some of the traits that affects me very badly.
Christie sent me an email a few weeks ago and told me that both her and Richard want me to get better so that I can have a good relationship with the baby when it's born. But if I won't get better very soon then they cannot trust me as being a good grandmother to the baby.
I feel very hurt about what has happened ( because of BPD my emotions are a lot more difficult to do with it, than someone that doesn't suffer with non BPD ) I have knitted a couple of little coats that I gave them for Christmas, as they wanted things for the baby things because they didn't need anything for themselves......but we did give them some money for them both.
I am knitting a blanket for the baby which I have nearly finished, but they have told me that they don't want me to give it too the baby.
Sorry, to speak about my problems to you all, as I know that you have all got different problems yourselves.
I am still the CMHT, and the Psychiatrist, Psychologist and my CPN are all very supportive and still having therapy, in a couple of weeks I will have been with them for sixteen months......I had hoped that I would have been able to manage the BPD by now, but as I have been told that it can take a long time, maybe a few years to be able to manage my illness.
I will try and speak to you all again soon .
Just take care everyone.
Love and Best Wishes.
Sallie. xxx <3 <3 <3

Fingers crossed that he turns up Ann. Take care when going into the kitchen, you don't want to walk into the fridge by mistake. It's amazing that the floor under our white goods, only get washed very occasionally, it's because, they are so heavy and awkward to move about. We tend to wash the insides of the white goods though don't we, and forget underneath of the larger items. LOL
The darned fog has come down again this evening, it's sooo dangerous for drivers, but not like the smog of years ago, where you couldn't see your hand in front of your face.
Take care girls speak to you soon.

Still very cold here outside, but warm enough indoors. We met friends for lunch today at a garden centre which was nice.
Then when we got home it was all systems go..... We are having the kitchen flooring done tomorrow. So today the fridge and microwave have to be moved, the fridge emptied first of course, and then it needs cleaning before moving into the dining room where it now blocks the door. And everything then put back in the fridge. (We did a shop yesterday so it is pretty full.) Then the floor under the fridge is disgusting so that needs washing next. And all the kick boards on the units have to come out, looking at them goodness knows how they will ever go back in. That includes the one with the electric fan heater attached, so that has to be unplugged, the plug being behind the drawers so they have to come out to get at the plug. He'd better arrive to fit the stuff tomorrow or I am not going to be best pleased.

Aaah bless you Jean, may your friends rest in peace. A loss at any time is a shock to us all, but when they are really close to us, it hits harder. Stay strong dear friend, love and hugs to you both.
Goodness me girls, I have just looked out of the window, and we have got a heavy fog. The forecast tomorrow is a heavy frost and fog, a deadly combination, especially on the motorways. It frightens me, knowing that a few of my family have to travel quite a way, and there are any amount of speed freaks out there.
So from a foggy, frozen Kent, I shall say goodnight god bless one and all.

This weather!
After being in a deep freeze for over 6 weeks, the longest period for this area in over 30 years, we now have a weather change that started Monday, and really took hold yesterday ....................
it's coming straight to us across the Pacific from the Philippines!
Rain, rain and more rain, temperature expected to reach 11C today ....... that's 11 ABOVE freezing .......... and now flood watches because of the amount of rain that's falling combined with snow melt
I think I'm feeling human, but I still have this cough ............. and it sounds awful!
I haven't been out of the house since Monday last week ......... that's about 10 days.
Mo ............ MJ will be 7 in March.
