Mo that is appalling, nowadays all nurseries should be aware of the rules regarding sun cream and the headmaster would ultimately be responsible if your daughter took it upbwith the local council.

Hello my lovelies, how are we all. Jean, goodness me, card making at that time in the morning, I do hope you managed to do them correctly, if it were me, I would probably have them inside out, and upside down..LOL Hows the new freezer going ? We bought a four draw one, but had to go and get another one, to put on the top of it with another four drawers. Lord only knows why, as like you, a lot of our meals are cooked from fresh products. I think Roly expected a shortage of food items, and stocked up big time. When we had the chest freezer, we tried to rotate things, but it never really happened that way. The amount we had to throw away was unbelievable, as it was well out of date, and goodness knows how long it had been in the freezer.
Ann, I hate it to sound like I am bragging, but we have had another beautiful sunny day. Last Friday, our grandaughter went to the holiday nursery club. When she was picked up, she looked like a beetroot, she was absolutely fried to a crisp. My son and daughter in law, complained bitterly to the woman in charge, the little ones should not have been allowed out for such a long period. When asked why they had not covered Lilly in her sun cream again, the woman said she didn't know it was in Lilly's bag, for crying out loud, the nursery itself, when it's open, knows that all the little ones carry their protection in their bags. All Saturday and Sunday she was being sick. Obviously she had a touch of sunstroke. My son was so furious, he complained to the head master on the Monday morning, but they pass the buck and it was the woman in charges fault according to him. I just wish they would not send her anymore, it's neglect as far as I am concerned, on the holiday clubs part.
Enough of my gripes. We did have a bit of good news today, our Lilly has got the primary school that her parents wanted for her. Her little friend who lives next door, also goes there, so at least she will know someone when she starts in September.
Must go and get my bath now, darts tonight, I hope and pray my thumb lets me play properly, it's still so painful. So much for the sun being good for arthritus, it's not working for me yet. lol
Love and hugs, Mo xxx

AH , you know me so well Ann ;-) ;-) test match is on , so ......
The little drawers J was making are in place now , it is surprising how much stuff came out of the other drawers, some stuff was 2004 :-0 :-0 lots of hair products that we no longer use so all sorted now and binned. next job is our large cupboard with all my lladro and nao boxes in I am gloing to put the various ornaments in their boxes and take them to the hospice shop. less dusting :-D :-D we also have another large cupboard with, all sorts of stuff in, so little by little we are getting it all minimal its hard now to do a lot in one go... I cant stand long enough J is also admitting to getting tired now..but the first thing we are doing today is go and get the Freezer sorted :-) :-) no more defrosting although the tall freezer we have now is working well but it is a seven drawer one and usually jam packed full...why we get so much when there is only three of us and we usually have mainly fresh food I will never know :-S :-S :-S
Today looks as though we may get some sun, yesterday was dull and colder , so fingers X.....
Sallie I hope all is well with you and Alun , hope Jennie is doing o.k. Since D has been upgraded she seems to be working harder than ever :-0 :-0 but she is a stubborn missie and wont slow down... the new medication for the MS appears to be o.k. too still we are grateful that she is able to carry on...she really is brilliant
Marie hope your family and of course yourself are doing well.. I have missed my garden , but have some shrubs and flowers in our small front garden well its hardly a garden just some bits round the edge, the" Daff "Camelia is bursting with buds some already opening , sadly it doesnt last long in flower... I have two containers either side of the window, one with a fuschia in it an the other some Asters, but I think we will change that one for something taller and larger... we cant see them but it looks good from the road ;-) ;-) ;-) ......I have prattled on, so will stop now and wish you all ,home and abroad the very best love and wishes.....
Love Jean xxx <3 <3

Good luck with the rest of the decking Huia, dont overdo it.....
J is just putting together a small unit of drawers for the bathroom. I have been sorting out all the H****r shoes and sandals out that I cant get on my feet any more upsetting as they are very good shoes and mostly hardly worn, had I been younger I would have put them on that well known selling site, but everything is such hard work so the charity shops will think its christmas ;-) ;-) ;-)
we saw C yesterday but only for a short while, issues with S partner really sadden us and we dont know why :-S :-S
promises to be a nice day , all my washing is done and dried, craft stuff put away, now what do I do.....
hope you are all well and enjoying the sunshine, take care dont get burned
Love to all Jean xx <3

Huia, it must be a nightmare having to scrub that verandah every year, and very hard work for you each time. Is it like a green algae ? We are lucky that we have got the pressure washer to clean our decking down, so not such hard work for us.
Marie, I do hope your daughter is o.k, following the accident. What a shame about the Ute being damaged. Have they another vehicle they can use, whilst theirs is being repaired.?
Sylvia, I can't believe your poor daughter is still snowed in. It must be weeks since it all started. I hope your rain didn't last long, and that you are now enjoying some nicer weather.
It has been a lovely day here today, we are sooo lucky here in the south east of the U.K. My daughter bought me a new mobile phone today. Oh boy, what fun I am going to have, trying to fathom out how the darned thing works. It's a touch phone, and me being so heavy handed, is a nightmare. She said for me to try and send her a text, I nearly PMSL, it took me a good fifteen minutes just trying to send " Hi Love, it's me". When I touched to keys,it was typing the wrong letters, oh lord I don't think I shall be sending many txts.
I will say bye for now girls, take care love, Mo xxx

I finished the basic scrubbing of the verandah, and have now sprayed some of that stuff on the parts with the worst stain. Seem to have got most of the staining off. I will do the rest of the verandah when we have a dull day when I am at home - whenever that might be. I dont want to land on my back this winter.

Marie, lovely to see you post,it's always nice to hear from you. Sounds as though you had a busy Easter with all the different masses at the Cathedral..
Yes, you are right, Ann, Jean and myself are definitely addicted to card making and Mo to painting the rooms in her house, so it's good to have you join us on this thread as our gardening addict. lol!!
Marie, I hope that your daughter hasn't been hurt too badly and also that her little dog is okay. Also hope that the motorcyclist isn't badly hurt too.Thinking about your daughter and hoping that all will turn out well after her accident.
Sylvia, good to know that you and OH are getting along okay. I can't get over that your daughter is still having snow where she lives.
It's been a lovely bright and sunny day here and fairly warm, it's nice to be able to peg the washing out to dry.
Jean, hope that you can get someone to decorate for you soon. If you are like me, once I decide that a room needs painting, I can't wait long, I want it done soon. Alun tells me that I am too impatient. lol!!
When Alun went to the doctors for his medication review, his blood pressure was a bit high, so he has to go again on Tuesday, he doesn't normally have a problem with his blood pressure, like I do. I'm thinking he might be a bit anxious about seeing the Specialist.
Mo. how are you doing with the decorating? Hope it's coming along okay.
Our living room needs freshening up, but we have to leave it for a short while as Jennie and Michael are moving in with us next week, so there is no point until their furniture is in. Not sure how long they will be here, but they are finding it difficult to manage, as Michael is only on a low wage.
Luckily we have separate dining room so they can use it as their living room. We have already moved a few bits of furniture from the dining room into other rooms, we only need to move the dining table into the living room now.Thank goodness our rooms are a good size that we are able to do it the way we are.
Ann; if you are looking in, hope that you are all enjoying your holiday in Spain.
Huia, have you managed to do any more of your veranda? Well done if you have, but take care and try not to overdo things.
Elizabeth, hope that all is well with you and your family. Hope that you all have an enjoyable and peaceful weekend.
Goodnight to everyone and hope that you will all have a good weekend.
Take care.
Love, Sallie. xxx <3 <3 <3

Hi Everyone, It is nice to hear you all had a lovely Easter. I spent a lot of the week at the Cathedral at the Various Masses and Prayer sessions we have. The Services were Lovely and the singing was beautiful I was rather tired by Holy Saturday so I had a rest and went to 10 am Mass on the Sunday.
I noticed that Mo said that Ann & Sallie, were addicts and she was a paint addict well I am sure I am a Gardening addict.I have been trying to rid my front Lawn of the pesky couch grass for months, it is hard work and I spend so much time on it I had hoped to have it finished by now and the new lawn in , but I have only managed to get half of it done and now our winter is coming on, so I may have to give it away until spring pokes it head in, which probably wont be till October.
I have just received a call from my granddaughter to tell me that Kerry my daughter who was on her way home to Foster has had a car accident apparently a motorcyclist drove out and around her and then suddenly stopped at the lights and she was unable to stop and she has hit him and written off the new 4 door utility.
She had her expensive sewing machines in the ca,r also her little dog, I think Kerry is ok but very shaken up,I will have to wait for more news. I do hope she was not at fault,I do not think she would have been as she is a careful driver.
Love and Hugs to you all and the best of health and I hope your Summer arrives soon <3 :-\ <3

Sallie I have just put all my craft stuff away for a while, I have four large boxes full of ready made cards, so no more to be made other than some fathers day cards and some suitable for men and boys... like you I am not ordering any more stuff...glad you liked the cards.....
We are looking to get some decorating done or at least get someone to do it. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) but we have so much stuff, so a clear out of household stuff is needed, also too many clothes mostly with tags still on, shoes , leather bags etc the list is never ending, but its so difficult to do, both of us are easily tired now , I think the charity shops will do very well :-D :-D :-D
Wish I had your energy Huia :-D :-D well done....
Mo, hope you have got over your aches after doing the painting, pity though I was going to pay for your ticket to come to ours and do my painting... btw silvery grey sounds very restful ;-) ;-) ;-) I shall say nite nite to you all and pray you have a restfull night.... take care <3 <3

Huia, gosh you have done well scrubbing part of your veranda with a stiff broom,,,,I find jobs like that are getting more difficult for me to do these days. So well done to you!
It will look nice when when you have finished it.
Mo, you have been a busy bee, always nice to have a room freshly decorated. Hope that your mouth and throat are a lot better by now.
Jean, I looked at the pics of your cards, it's amazing what you can make out of all the bits and pieces that are left.......they are pretty Jean.
I have been trying to sort out some of my stash over the last few days, I think I could open a craft shop with the amount of stuff I have. I've decided that I am not buying any card making stuff until I've used up a lot of of what is here.. Just hope I can keep to what I say.lol!!
Love to all our friends and their families.
Speak to you soon.

I have been busy scrubbing (with a stiff broom) the verandah to get the dirt off it. I am not quite half way there yet. When I have finished I will spray on some of that 30 seconds stuff (or whatever it is called) to make sure it is free of any of the slimy stuff. I want to finish before winter comes.

Hi Jean, this is the ex painting addict speaking. It takes a lot for me to get the get up and go, as I did a few years ago. I don't think you would like my choice of colour for my bedroom, it's a light silvery grey. I was surprised that even Roly liked it when it was done. We have chosen Calico for the living and dining room, nice and light and bright. Goodness me, I am surpised that you remembered my choice of colour the last time, but then it could have been the red spots I painted on the black walls that you remembered most of all.LOL

Hello girls, One worn out ,tired lickle Mo here. Jean you will be pleased to know that my paint brushes have been out today, after months of being redundant. My bedroom is now looking spick and span, with lovely new paint. Curtains, slip rugs all washed and dried, lovely. Next on the agenda is the living and dining room, followed by the kitchen, but not for a few days, need to rest my poor hand and wrist for a while, it's aching now.
I do hope you have all enjoyed the beautiful sunshine today, we have to make the most of it whilst it lasts.
Take care girls, love Mo xxx

It sounded as though you had a very good day Mo, and the littlies were so good too...
J went to church this morning, I cant sit long enough so watched a lovely programme about ST Johns closeness with Jesus, strange thing although someone was speaking in english it was really mainly in a foreign language, but really very good. when the titles came up at the end I was surprised to see all the main cast were of Asian and foreign names .....
When J came home it was wall to wall sport mainly football, both D and J love it so I took myself off to "the room" I looked through my many peel offs and decided to use any odd ones that were left just to see if I could ;-) I managed to make several cards, changing the colours and using some old backing papers....... I had a great time, tomorrow I will take the pics...I have left the insides blank, except for the odd embellishment, or corners.....
Now we are watching the tennis finals... which I quite like..
I hope you are all having a good Easter and relaxing dont forget to smell the flowers
:-D :-D :-D :-D thats if you have any out yet....

Hello my friends, I hope you are enjoying your Easter break.
Well, Ava's christening was wonderful, but very long. It was one and a half hours long. With it being Easter Sunday, the baptism was slotted into the normal service. We have never attended a service like it before. There was a lady on the piano, a lady on the guitar, and four vocalists. The hymns were put up on a large screen, for people to follow. Both Ava, Lilly and another little one, were very good children all the way through, considering how long it lasted. The children looked really beautiful, dressed in their sunday best clothes. All in all, it has been a lovely day, including the weather. The children were able to play out in the garden when we got home, at least they let out all the excitement afterwards and not during the service.
Enjoy whats left of the Easter weekend girls. Love and hugs to you all, Mo xxx
