LindainBerkshire1736004 Report 20 Feb 2011 22:08

Sallie does Richard have far to travel to get to Reading as it is on;ly about 10 miles from me.
It is a nice town now and has some lovely shops too.

I have been busy doing nothing as the song goes. At least I seem to have achieved little other than the everyday jobs, getting out for a walk and making up some parcels to go out to orphans and needy children in Bulgaria. Which I must get into the post tomorrow. Luckily hubby is off tomorrow or I don't think I would get them on the buggy to get there.

Have a good week everyone

Hi there ladies.
I am late again tonight, but I just wanted you to know that all is well here.

What are we going to do with Joyce, that poor woman goes through enough, without having to suffer toothache as well.
Perhaps, if she turned into a nasty person, things would go better for her.
But Joyce has not got it in her heart to be that way inclined, bless her.
Take care of yourself Joyce, and if the tooth gets really painful, try and see if you can get an appointment sooner love.

Sallie, don't worry about getting my grandchildrens names mixed up. I do it all the time, and keep getting told of about it. But when they are all together, it's an easy thing to do.
We haven't seen Lilly and her mum and dad today, as dad had to work.
What time will Richard have to leave in the mornings,to get to his other work place.
It's lovely to hear that they have got the confidence in him, to temporarily transfer him,to another store.
He must have shown excellent progress in their eyes, for them to have done it.
Well done Richard.

It would be so nice if somebody was able to get some news about Julia.

I hope Caz is o.k,and enjoying her weekend.

I also wonder if Huia is out for her daily constitutional, or if she is busy with the book.

No Ann tonight either. I wonder if she is busy on her blog.

((((((((((((HUGS FOR MARIE)))))))))))))))) as we have not heard from her in a few days.

Lets hope Jean and J,had a safe journey, and are now able to relax for a while.

I will say goodnight god bless you all. Love and best wishes Mo xxx

Ann, I've just looked at my photos on your blog and tried to reply to your comments, but it asked for my profile, don't know what that means. Sorry.
I'm not very good with all this computer jargon.

Hello Girls,

Heard from Joyce this afternoon, she's still suffering with cramp I'm afraid, and now she'a also got toothache as well. She's hoping that she can put up with it for next few weeks, when she's got an appointment with her dentist.
She was also telling me that she's feeling very down and doesn't want to go out and just wants to stay in .
Sounds like the "old black dog" to me. It would be nice if she had a friend that could speak English living nearby, so they could meet for coffee and a chat, or the friend could visit Joyce.

Ann, your scrapbook pages on your blog are lovely, I only wish that either Alun or myself could take photos as good as you. I still haven't seen the photos on your blog that I've sent, yet. As soon as I finished this post I'm going to have a look at them.

Joyce was asking about your blog, she was wondering what it was about, after she had read Mo's post saying that it would be good for Caz, Jean, Joyce and myself to join it.
Like me, she thought it was just for scrapbooking, so I told her it was for all crafts.

Mo, sorry I get your granddaughters mixed up, except of course, Lily. Not sure if you said that Lily and her mum and dad were going to visit you today. Or have I got that wrong? It's old age, as you know it doesn't come by itself.LOL! Anyway, if they did visit you, I hope enjoyed their visit.

Also hope that your are feeling a lot better now, so that you are able to do the things you enjoy doing again. Both you and Roly take care.

Huia, I hope all is well with you today, and that you have managed to go out on more walks. Take care.

I'll say bye for now, speak later.

Love and best wishes. Sallie.xxx

I am not sure that is the same one Joyce. If her married name is the one that comes up now when you send her a message it starts with G.

Hi Joy, I've just been looking on freeBMD for a marriage under her maiden name, covering quite a few years( just by guessing the years) but there are no matches. Huia suggested it, so I thought I'd give a try....maybe they haven't covered all the area yet. Of course I'm assuming that they got married in Derbyshire, they might not have.

I've looked on all the pm's that she sent me, but the only thing I found was her maiden name.

Huia, thanks for that suggestion, I wish I could have found her marriage.
The surname G******* that she uses on here, is her married name.

I'll speak to you soon.

Just popping in - hello.

I sent a message on 31 January to Julia, not opened yet by her. Last had a message from her, 25 January, I think. I shall see if I can find a thread in which she posted.

Huia

Huia Report 19 Feb 2011 22:44

Mo, I havent lost a lot of weight, but it is better to do it slowly anyway.

Sallie and others, if you can find a place where Julia has posted in the past, can you click on her name and see if it gives a surname? You can then check freeBMD to see if it is her married name or maiden name.

Huia.

I have to admit it was a struggle MO. Sleep tight.

Sallie, don't blame yourself, It is highly unlikely that any of us would have thought to get the address.. It may be that Julia is ex directory so you wont find her. Do you know her surname. I am not sure if the name that came up on contacts is her married or maiden name and now just an initial.

Hello again girls.
Sallie the grandaughter that came today, isn't the one who stayed with us when her parents went on holiday.
That one is the one who's dad left them last year, after their holiday.
The one that came today,is the one that works in a childrens nursery. She wanted to be the teaching assistant, but didn't have the qualifications.

Thank the lord you haven't found anymore little parcels around Huia.
The uphill walks, may be hard going for you, but just think how many calories you burn of every time you walk up one Huia.
Keep up the good work. How much weight have you lost so far.?

Well done on setting the blog up Ann. Thats something I would definately never be able to do.
The URL will be good for Sallie, Jean, Joyce and Caz.

I am away to my bed shortly, so I will say good night god bless you all.

Sallie Report 19 Feb 2011 22:11

Mo, your granddaughter that visited you this afternoon, was it the one that stayed with you while her parents were on holiday?

Huia, let's hope there'll be no more trouble now that the mummy rat is gone. Well done, I admire you for being able to sort the problem out yourself.

Enjoy more of your walks, and hope that you will shed a few more pound.

Ann, that day I met Julia she didn't mention anything about her OH having a slight stroke or heart attack. I met him when he came to pick Julia up, and he sat and chatted to us for about ten minutes. I hope that there is nothing wrong with either of them. I just wish I could find out something. I might get Jennie to bring their directory over when the come for lunch tomorrow, so that I can have a good look in it myself.

It's such a long time since she's posted, which is unusual for Julia, even when she goes into hospital as she does.

Hope you and T are both okay. Take care.

Love, Sallie.xxx

ps. meant to say that as I know Julia's hubby, I'm wondering whether to get Alun to take me round their area tomorrow, in the hope that I might see him. I don't know what else I can do....I could kick myself for not getting Julia's address.

Huia Well done on not seeing any little rats since mummy went. Maybe she was pregnant and hadn't had them yet. And well done for doing the walking.

Sallie, that is worrying that your friend has not see Julia's husband. Somebody on the other thread said she remembered that he had a heart attack or stroke some time back so I hope nothing like that has happened. Oh dear it is a real worry.

I spent most of the afternoon getting a blog up and running with Jude's help. It is a scrap booking and card making blog. PM me if you want the url.

Huia

Huia Report 19 Feb 2011 20:16

I havent had any more calling cards since catching mummy rat, so hopefully that is it.

I went for a 1 hour walk yesterday and lost a little weight (but had to be firm with myself about eating goodies afterwards!). I might go for another walk soon, although I would rather be playing on here. All of the local walks involve some uphill stuff and I am not so keen on uphill, but I know it is better for me than the level stuff.

Off to get ready.

Huia.

Mo, you posted while I was typing.

Hello girls.
Sorry to be so late in posting tonight, but we have had our lovely grandaughter and her boyfriend here since about 4.00p.m, and they have just left.
It's always a pleasure to see them.

Today has been a wet horrid day yet again. And apart from a quick pop to the shop, we have spent the day indoors, in the dry.

I hope you are you bearing up, under all the normal pressures of life.

Sallie, I have not had any news about my nephew today, so I am assuming that he is going along nicely.
You know what they say, "no news is good news."

I would like to thank Joyce for the lovely card, that I received today.
Thank you so much my lovely friend, it was so nice of you to make it for me. Especially as you have so many health problems, and yet you always think of others. Bless you darlin.

Right Sallie, it's time I made Roly a cup of tea, his tongue is hanging out.
Bye for now everyone, take care of yourselves. Love Mo xxx

Sallie Report 19 Feb 2011 19:43

Oh dear, where has everyone gone. I know that Jean and Sylvia are away, I'm just wondering now if everyone else has gone away too.lol!

Well ladies, it's been wet, misty and cold here today, I hope it's better where you all are.

We haven't very far today, had to go to B&Q for a light fitting, and then to M&S to get a few bits of food that we needed. Just called in Jennie's while we were out, Michael was busy helping his neighbour to fix his car, but they didn't seem to be having much luck. His neighbours car was in M's garage so at least they were in the dry.

I'm been doing some baking this afternoon, so am now suffering from back ache......it's the standing that does it, so this evening I'm just going to some cards, at least I can sit down for that.....well most of the time anyway.

Mo, I hope you are feeling better today. Have you had anymore news about your nephew?

I had to laugh at the name you've given your brother's wife, I don't blame you, by what you've told us about her.....I'm sure I'd think of a worse name for her, than that.lolol!!

Richard has to work in Reading next week, the company are opening a new store there, so he's been asked if he would mind going to help them out, the new manager of the store has been in the store that Richard works in, so she's asked his manager if she can have Richard's help for a couple of weeks. So it will mean that Richard will have to use his car for a couple of weeks, where he usually walks to work. It's a good walk, but he says that it keeps him fit.

Ann, thank you for passing the message about Julia onto the thread on Chat, I felt awful that I hadn't, I just forgot about it completely.

Dawn has told J & M that as soon as she speaks to who she's sure is Julia's hubby she will let us know. It's amazing she sees him most mornings, but since M has told them about Julia, she hasn't seen him at all. That's just typical.lol!

I've been thinking a lot about Daff lately, I just hope and pray that she will get well soon, she was always the life and soul of the threads. I miss hearing from her, as I know you do and many others.

I know you go to the Lake District soon, but not sure when.

Caz and Joyce, hope you are both not in so much pain today, as you have been, and that you feel a bit more comfortable.

Huia, hope all is well with you, and that your uninvited visitors have now gone.
Hope Phil was alright when you last visited him, and that he was awake and alert while you were there.

Marie, thinking of you and your family and hope that you are all okay.

I hope that Sylvia is having a lovely weekend, and that the weather is good for them.

Also hope that Jean and J had a good journey to Llandudno and that the
weather will be kind to them, so they can get out and about.

Well, I'm going to get on with some cards now, so speak to you all later.

Love and best wishes. Sallie.xxx

Mo, it's good to hear that your nephew is alright after his operation. I hope that from now on all will go well for him, and that they wll get rid of the cyst, for good. Thinking about him and hope that he will soon be well again.

Lily sounds as though she's coming along in leaps and bounds, bless her. I'm so pleased to know that her check up went well.

Hope you enjoyed your pork chop and veg dinner.

Well Jean and J are off to Llandudno tomorrow, I hope they get some dry weather, at least.

Caz, hope you are feeling a little bit better to what you've been since starting the chemo. Thinking about you.

Still no news of Julia, just hoping that we'll hear something over the weekend, off J&M's friends.

Mo in Kent Report 18 Feb 2011 16:58

Hello girls.
While I think of it, I will update you on my nephew. After phoning my brother and niece for information, and getting no response,I phoned my daughter this morning.
Well M's operation went well, and his reactions are good. He is still in I.C.U as the treatment they have given him, is a new proceedure, in that they wrap the cyst in the chemo, and they need to check that he does not have any bad reactions to it. He should be in Kings hospital for about ten days.

Little lilly had to go for her check up today, re her re-flux problems. All is well, and the medication is working well.
In fact she has gained even more weight, and now weighs in at 9lb 7oz.
I am so relieved, and the doctor said that she is a lively little girl,as she wriggled around on the weighing scales like a little worm.
She is such a pleasure to watch as she has just started to really smile, and it's not wind.

Oh Joyce I am so sorry, that you are still having problems. Life seems so unfair at times like this.

Thanks for the explanation about the sex of your rat. Just shows how little I know, but then, as I said before, I didnt get close enough to examine ours. Yuk.

Sallie, I cant believe that you forgot your brothers anniversary. LOL I don't even know when my brothers is either, not that I would send a card, especially being married to the wicked witch of the south.

Hi there Ann, how are you both.

Got to go for now girls, will try and pop in later. Cooking dinner at the moment, Pork chops and veggies, yummy.
Bye for now. Love Mo xxx

Hello ladies,

Joyce I've just been reading your posts on here, and agree with Ann, it certainly sounds as though it's a way of the government making money.
Have you made an appointment with your doctor yet? I really hope that he can do somrthing to help you. Take care.

When do your grt graddaughter have to come down to Nottingham, for her biopsy? I know you told me, but I have a memory like a sieve, I'm afraid,

Going to get on with some cards now, so I'll look in later on.
