Good morning everyone Out to friends this morning, then on to Ruislip to see my Mumn as she will be with my sister for Christmas and Boxing Day. They are closer and she can have her medicines moring and evening and sleep in her new bed. This evening our son and his wife are coming to see hubby as they can't make tomorrow on his birthday. I managed to wrap all the gifts last night, so I am pleased about that. One more card came yesterday that I hadn't sent, oops it will go first class today but I hope it gets to them on time. No more now as they definately will be around until the new year.
Have a good day everyone.

Yes, I sometimes wonder if I am overdoing things, but I think part of the tiredness is if I dont get a good sleep at night. At least I can take half a sleeping pill if I am going out next morning, or if I have trouble getting to sleep, but by then it is getting late anyway. Some of the tiredness might also be boredom.
This morning I went up to Cossey Dam and spent 2 hours cutting the flower heads or buds off the agapanthus plants, since they are weeds in NZ and they cant spray them because of the water in the dam, and the native trees around. When the colder weather returns I will have to try to get up there to dig up the plants, but it will be a long hard job. Other people were setting the poison baits for possums and rats today. Phil and I used to do it on a Wednesday.
My weight is slowly coming down and I hope this morning's exercise will help.
Huia.

Mo, I've replied to your pm. I hope your tooth will not cause you too much trouble until you can get to see your dentist....hopefully the Amoxicillin will clear any infection you might have.
Huia, thank you for your lovely card... it's a very pretty flower. Hope you have been able to get plenty of rest and are feeling less tired now.
Linda, pleased to hear that your daughter's wedding went well on Friday. You are going to be very busy again over the next week, what with Christmas, hubby's birthday and having some members of your family staying with you.
We will be four for Christmas dinner this year....son's girlfriend is working on Christmas Day, only for four hours but it stops them coming to us for Christmas.
Time for bed now, so will speak to you all soon.
Love and best wishes. Sallie.xxx

Hello my friends. It's so nice to hear that everything went well for the wedding Linda. You are going to be such a busy bee this week, with all this organising to do, it's a good job you are so adept at doing it love. How lovely to have all the family with you at christmas, it definately is a time for proper family get togethers. We will have seven for christmas dinner, but then 21 in th evening. Thats not all the family. Unfortunately we have had a fall out with one of our daughters, over her boyfriend. This is the daughter who's husband left her for another woman last year at this time. We are not exactly enamoured of the new beau, and we have said we would like our daughter and her girls to come as usual, but he is not welcome. The outcome of it all, is she has now said none of them will be coming, and will enjoy their own christmas in their own home. If this is what she wishes, despite the hurt, she must make her own mind up, and nothing we say will change it. We can't put a finger on why we don't like this chap, and all my other children feel the same way. I suppose we could have swallowed our pride and said bring him along for our daughters sake, but then why should we welcome someone into our home, who we dont like.
Ann, I am like you, in keeping a tally as to who I send christmas cards to. I call it my little black book of christmas addy's. The tooth that aches, is one that is crowned. The dentist warned me that it would probably need replacing, and the roots treated again. But it has been so settled lately, that I didn't bother about it. I have got some anti-biotics that Roly's dentist gave him following his treatment a couple of months ago, just in case he had any problems. So now I am hoping that they work for me. They are Amoxicillin 250 mg, the same as my dentist gave me last time I had the same problem. But if it gets bad over christmas, I shall go to the walk in centre, or up to the hospital dental line.
Huia love, have you been overdoing things. I am wondering if this is why you are feeling so tired. Hows your diet going now honey?
Sallie thanks for the p.m. I have answered you love. Take care, stay happy for me.
Bye for now everyone. Love Mo xxx

Hi Everyone Sorry not posted recently, been a bit manic here. Enjoy a lovely ceremony at the regisrty office for our daughter last Friday. Then had a small party back home for just 20 people. Had lots of clearing to do both before and after. The decorator completed the room on Thursday morning, really pleased, he was good and the room looks bigger clearer and lighter. Now have to get the houyse ready first for hubby's birthday on Thursday and then for Christmas with 12 on Christmas Day. After FIL staying for a few days. On following Wednesday Hubby's sister is coming too, will be 5 for lunch that day.
Still trying to get a break away in the sunshine before the expected date of our first grandchild in February !!!
Hope you are all on track for Christmas.

Hello all.
I had a busy day yesterday. I had intended to spend this morning writing my cards for NZ friends and relatives to post when I go out this afternoon, but I am feeling so tired that I might just email or ring them this year, then I can get a bit more sleep this morning. I must be better organised next year.
Happy Christmas and a great new year to any of my friends on here whose address I dont have, so cant send you a card.
Huia.

Mo, I missed you there, I hope the tooth stops aching, they do sometimes just like that, maybe you got something in it or disturbed the nerve.
Sallie with making so many cards I have a spread sheet list which carries from year to year, I mark a / when I send the card out and then a X when I receive one back. That way after 3 years if somebody has stopped sending they get crossed off the list. :-D

Mo, can't you go to an NHS Walk in Centre? Michael had very bad toothache a couple of weeks ago over the weekend so Jennie took him to the Walk in Centre in Nottingham and they took two teeth out for him, it cost him £17 for taking two teeth out.
It's just a thought, and it would be better than suffering from toothache all over Christmas and into New Year.
Hope you can get it sorted.
Good luck with your last darts match with this team, hope you'll win. Keeping my fingers crossed for you.
Ann, I have had a few cards off certain people and I can't remember if I have sent them one or not.
Pleased that you all enjoyed the weekend despite your daughter's news.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Hello all, well despite the bad news from our daughter we had a nice weekend with them and managed to get out and about to garden centres and hobbycraft etc. Luckily they are all ready for Christmas and despite the fact that they will have 7 of them Christmas day daughter will be ok as her OH always does all the cooking.
sorry to hear you are still feeling under the weather Caz, and also that Marie is not too good, hope you will all feel better in the new year.
Although I sent out about 150 cards, I am still getting some from people I have not sent to so am sending late and hoping for the best.

Hello, hello girls. What a miserable day today has been. It's been so overcast and dull, that I have had the table lamp on since early afternoon. It's good to hear from you all, and catch up on whats been happening all over the world. Nothing exciting has been happening here I'm afraid to report. I am going to have to try and get myself a dental appoitment before christmas, as one of my teeth has started playing me up. Oh what a nuisance that is. I have got my last darts match before christmas tonight, and this venue is right out in the sticks, so I am just glad the snow has held off.
Update....... just rung the dentist, cant get an appointment till January, if it's an emergency I have to ring at 9 a.m and see a different dentist. What a joke that is, if it gets to bad I will go up to our local hospital and get it sorted. Bye for now gilrs, love to all, Mo xxx

Still no one to talk to. Where are you all? Hope all is well with everyone.
Ann, sorry to hear about your daughter, but glad that they found the lump in it's very early stages. Sending her lots of hugs and positive thoughts and will be thinking about her and all the family tomorrow.
Mo, I hope everything is alright with Roly as we haven't heard from you for a few days.
Caz, hope you are feeling a little better today. It is very cold here again, I just want to stay at home in the warm. I heard from Joyce at lunchtime and she told me that there is a slight improvement in the twins and that they are both holding their own. So hope and pray that they will soon get well and maybe they'll be home for Christmas.
We had a good time in Stoke-on-Trent yesterday.....met my cousin as planned and had a lovely meal at the pub where we met. There was a thin layer of snow there and by the time we left at 5pm it had turned to ice so was very slippery underfoot. I'm not too good walking on ice, I'm afraid.lolol!!
Sylvia, Jean,Huia, Linda, Marie and anyone else I may have missed, hope you are all alright.
Love and best wishes. Sallie.xxx

Hello Girls,
Where is everyone today. Have you all hibernated because of the cold weather?
Caz, as we have all said, don't worry about not sending us cards, we all understand your situation and don't think any less of you for not having a card. The main thing is that you worry about yourself and not the rest of us. I just wish that I could do something to help you.
Marie, hope that things will get better for you in the New Year. I hope you have a nice Christmas with your family. Take care of yourself.
Mo, I hope that Roly is feeling better abd not in any pain.
I'll speak to you all tomorrow.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Hello Girls, just a quick hello to everyone, before we go to Stoke.
Huia I'm pleased that Phil was alert and chatty when you visited him, shame about the lady near him making so much noise so that you couldn't hear what he was saying. As you say, it's a pity you hadn't thought of wheeling him in to a quiet room or area when you first arrived.
Let's hope that he will be as alert and responsive on your next visit. Will it be on Christmas Day?
Speak to you all later.
Take care everyone.
Love, Sallie.xxx

I visited Phil this afternoon. He seemed quite chatty, but even with my hearing aids in and my ear thrust close to his face I couldnt make out what he was saying. There was a woman one side of him who makes a lot of noise, 'Aaah, aaah' etc. And a man behind me who repeatedly whacks his wheelchair and kicks the floor and otherwise makes a racket, and the radio was going somewhere. Maybe next time I will wheel Phil into a quiet room. I did see some of his old expressions on his face, and with his hands etc. Quite good, almost like my old Phil, but then my old Phil would have been saying 'come on, lets get out of here.'
