Jean, I hope you have better luck getting your hearing aids sorted than I have had. I spent a lot of money on them and they have never been any good on the phone, which I specifically said I wanted. I have had them only 18 months and the woman I saw recently suggested I should buy some new ones of a different brand. I told her quite firmly that I had no intention of throwing good money after bad.
Mo, sometimes Phil seems fairly alert, other times he doesnt. Last time I visited him he was alert, but then he was still having his lunch.
I put a collecting tin in the shop and when I called in a couple of days later it rattled. :-D

I hate the big plastic at the back of the ear J has one and his is smaller when we went to the clinic I asked could I have the same but the lady said no because I already had them, I offered to buy them but she said they are not for sale....I am unhappy with them they dont seem to be working together, and I feel lobsided...

Well I don't believe it, you all know it was my birthday on Monday, so o.k I was late having my bath, it should have been on the day, but it was to cold in the bathroom that day. LOL
Ann, I didn't realise that you had had to start using the cream again love. I thought it had all cleared up. See, I must go round with my eyes closed, and not notice important thing. Sorry to have missed it. My partner and I lost at darts last night. We were in the pairs competition, but were very unlucky to lose.
Oooh Jean you are becoming a proper saucy minx arn't you. I entrusted you with my secret about my christmas bath, and now everyone knows what a dirty girl I am. This way I get to clean the back yard, when I empty the bath, as the drains get blocked, and the water flows back onto the yard area LOL ;-) ;-) ;-) I hope you have warned J, about going to that eye shop, that also sell hearing aids. We dont want him laid up with shock when you tell him how much they cost. :-D
It appears that most hospital are moving certain sections of hospitals to different locations. Our hospital is closing it's Mental health department, and moving it nearer to London. A young friend of ours is Bi-Polar ,and has to be hospitalised quite frequently. This then means that her young family would be unable to visit her very often, making T even more isolated than she is at the moment. Such a shame when the help is needed locally, and yet they decide to move it further away. Oh well, I for one will never understand why they do these things.
Huia you are a cheeky chops. I had my fingers crossed when I got in the bath, just in case it was "To Darned Hot" LOL Hows you doing my love. Have things improved yet at the new shop? How was Phil when you visited him?
Well girl's, another weekend arrives, closer still to christmas. ( Sorry I didn't mean to swear at you,by mentioning ahem .....Xmas ) There's all you good girl's making your card's, and there's me thinking I should be starting writing them out soon. Or at least starting to buy the stamp's to send them off. Thank goodness I bought the card's in the January sale's.
I hope Sallie manages to pop in to see us soon. It does seem strange not seeing her posting very often, she has always been a beacon of light for us, hasn't she bless her.
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 Prayers and thoughts for our Caz <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
Thinking of Sylvia and Marie over the waters, and sending them both good wishes.
Speak to you later girls. Love Mo xxx

I am using the cream again on three others to see if it either gets rid or makes them smaller. I should get called back next Jan/Feb but shan't hold my breath, it will probably be March/April/
Is you aid whistling because your ear needs syringing? That is why I have to have my right ear done next week. They shouldn't make your ears sore though, not if they have been fitted correctly. My sister has Specsaver ones but they were expensive and you don't get free batteries.

Just popping in quickly to thank Ann for her card that arrived today. I hope I have thanked Jean, Sallie and Joyce, as I had so many cards, and wouldn't like anyone to think I am ungrateful. They were all beautiful, so once again, thank you all. Going to get in the bath now, ready for my darts tonight. Fingers crossed for me girls. Love and hugs Mo xxx

It appears that the siting of the new shop was not good Huia. It needs to be where it is visible to peoples eyes, before they come over the threshold. And it sounds like the business is to far out. And by that I mean, mums out shopping with little ones looking for a bargain, where there are other shops and lots of people around. What a shame, but I do hope business picks up soon love.
Guess who's a silly billy then...yes me. There was me, up early, fed and dressed, and ready to go to the dentists, when Roly told me that my appointment is not till tomorrow. Oh boy how stupid I felt. And to top it all, I couldn't go tomorrow, so have had to cancel the appointment, and make another one. And this appointment is not till mid November.
My daughter gave me a voucher for Deben*ams for my birthday,so we went into Chatham today, for me to have a look at what I would like to buy. I ended up buying a top, nothing fancy, not even worthy of christmas wear. But the price was more than the voucher cost, so I had to add money to it. I would rather go to M+S, as I do love their clothes.
Thank you for the birthday wishes Sylvia, it's good to hear from you love.

see you all soon, love Mo xxx

I should have added, it is not for credit cards, just cash flow cards, the sort you use in the hole-in-the-wall to get cash out.

The new shop does not get much foot traffic. People have to come by car or bus. That stretch of road has a lot of places dealing with vehicles - selling them or parts for them, repairing them, selling tyres. There is a computer shop next to us and over the road a shop that sells bulk party food. Nothing to attract the ordinary customers.
Eftpos is a machine which you swipe your card through and put in your pin number, and the bank takes the amount (which we punched in beforehand) out of your account and puts it into ours.

Mo, We do go fairly often to the garden centre we went to this morning but it is not the one near us where we usually go for coffee.

Hello girls, Huia, it's early days with the new shop, and there are bound to be teething problems. As for customers, well is this shop further out from people than the last one was? if so it may take a little time for word to spread about what good bargains can be bought there. Unless you are in a very posh area, where people dont want to be seen going into places like charity or hospice shops. I am not included in that catagory I might add, as I love the charity shops in our area.
Ann, when we went to darts last night, it was very foggy, and frightening to drive through. Like you, today has been very miserable, with low lying mist and very damp. I don't know what happened to the Indian Summer the weather forecasters said we would have. Is the garden centre you went to,the one where you normally go for coffee?
What a treat for me in the morning, I have got the dentists for my check up. Must remember to put my check book into my bag, as our dentists wont accept cards. Goodness knows what will happen when they phase checks out all together, the dentist will then have to get a more up to date system of payment. Heres hoping I dont need a mortgage to get any treatment done. LOL Don't forget our clocks go back this coming weekend. Brrr a sure sign winter is here. Well my friends, I shall say bye for now, take care, love Mo xxx

Hi all
Any idea why you get fewer customers at the new shop Huia? Is it in a less convenient place for people to get to? I would have thought that your regular customers would have followed you.
What are eftpos?
Your Gt grandson is well advanced, obviously runs in the family.
It has been a really dull, misty, damp day here today. we went out to a garden centre this morning taking our widow friend. The trees along the road were beautiful but would have looked so much better if the sun had been shining. Still we had a good natter to catch up as we had not seen her for a month with holidays and wedding etc, bought a few cyclamen which T has put in a bowl in the conservatory and a few bits and pieces for Christmas presents.

I did a shift in the new Hospice shop this afternoon, standing in for another woman. When I arrived I was told it was cash only as we didnt have a till. Somebody had tried to alter the clock on it (so and so daylight 'saving') and as a result they couldnt get into the till, so somebody took it away to repair. The ladies said it meant we couldnt take eftpos but when another lady came in the afternoon she said we should be able to and sure enough we could. Not that we get as many customers in the new shop as we did in Papakura.
Tomorrow I will visit Phil after lunch and on Thursday I will be going to Hamilton, taking the other gt grandmother with me to visit our gt grandson. He took his first steps a few days ago, less than 10 months old. His mother and grandmother were also early walkers.
