Hi Mo, and everyone
Jean ............. hope you hear about the biopsy as soon as possible, and do not have to wait too long!
Sallie .......... so sorry to hear that you have hurt your toe.
My foot has flared up again, so I'm back into the icing and elevation routine!
I hope you all had a good Easter, with lots of choccies :-)
We are having a lovely spell of nice sunny warm weather. Almost a week of it so far, although I think it will be cloudy and cooler as of Tuesday.
It was so warm yesterday (Saturday) that I went down to the clothes storage in the basement this morning (Sunday) and pulled out 3 or 4 of my spring, short sleeved tops. I did not put any of the winter tops away though! I don't trust the weather!!
Huia ...........
...................... OH would have loved that exhibition ................. we still have his Meccano, which was actually a mix of what he was given in the 1940s plus what his Dad had in the 1920s. Our daughter loved to play, and build, with it. She made a wonderful working windmill one time, insisted on taking it to school (which was quite a job as it was pretty large!!), and her teacher could hardly believe that J had done it all by herself!
We also still have OH's Double O Hornby trains and tracks. I think that is what it is called, or is it Hornby OO??
Daughter and her family have returned this evening from their visit with our friends (her godfather) on the Island. A little bit upset at the change in him, but glad that they came over. They will leave for home on the 11:30 pm plane tomorrow evening (Monday).
Take care everyone

Hello all, if you are not in bed already. I am pretty busy these days, trying to walk 30 mins each day. Yesterday I went to a Meccano exhibition. When I walked in, my eyes went wide with wonder and I jumped up and down clapping my hands and saying "I want, I want". I used to love to play with dad's meccano set, but there were never enough pieces to build what I wanted to build, particularly when my younger sister decided she also wanted to play with it. I am afraid I dont have time now to play with meccano. But the models on display were magnificent. There was one of a transporter bridge, such as we saw in England. Lots of trains (moving around) and planes and cranes and all sorts of things. They also had Hornby trains running around tracks in the foyer. I think I was meant to be a boy, I loved it all so much. :-D

Hi Mo, we had a great time at the party, although I could't dance because my toe was too painful. Although all of the toe is badly bruised, lovely shades of black and purple and going on to my foot, it is slowly getting less painful and easier to walk. Thank you for asking.
Jennie and Michael didn't realise the first year they were married that the clocks went forward, they felt pretty silly when they went to Wilko as it was just closing at 4 o clock and asked the lady who was locking up why they were closing early. It gave the lady and all of us a good laugh for the day.lol!!!
I can't get over how quickly time is going, it doesn't seem like three months since we were all preparing for Christmas.
Well we have had a nice bright and sunny day today, this morning and early afternoon it wasn't as cold as it's been, but it's gone colder again this evening.......we are now in British Summer Time.lol!!
I hope everyone else is okay, we haven't heard from Huia and Sylvia for a while.
Jean, lovely to see you posting on here this morning. Have you seen Charlie today?
Ann, how are things with you and T? Hope that you are both alright.
Well, must go and have my usual cuppa now, I can't manage too long without my cup of tea.lol!!!
Spaek to you soon.
Love Sallie.xxx

Hello dear friends, I am sure I posted yesterday, but I can't seem to find it, so maybe I imagined it LOL
I hope you are all enjoying the Easter Weekend, and for those of us in the U.K, remembered to put the clocks forward last night. A couple of friends of ours forgot, and turned up an hour late today, wondering how come there were so many of us there so early, knowing that a few people don't normally turn up till 12.30, this was at 1.00p.m with them thinking it was 12.00. It was so funny, and they got ribbed about all lunch time.
How did the party go Sallie, I hope you both enjoyed yourselves, and that your toe didn't play up to much.
April fools day tomorrow, my word how time is flying by this year.
Must go now, speak to you all later. Love Mo xxx

Hi To all my Lovely friends,
I hope you are having a Happy Easter and that there will not be any more snow.
Sallie I hope your toe improves very quickly.
I had planned a full day of work in the garden , but woke to rain and very cool weather so I decided to catch up with you all. I am going to clean my floors later then do some serious cleaning out of all my old clothes in my walk in wardrobe it is a job I keep putting off , I have always been reluctant to toss out my old clothes however I am going to see if my daughter will come over and help me to do it, I will then get her to take the clothes away so that I cant reclaim them which I have often done LOL :-D
The Big wedding affair is on next Saturday I do hope it does not rain for her big day. I will try to remember to take my camera and get someone to take some photo's .of me with the bride and my family The ones that have been invited that is. ;-) Time is moving on and I have these jobs to do Love and Hugs to you all <3
Marie :-) <3

Jean my love, you know without my having to say this, that our prayers are with you, for a good outcome of the biopsy. Now is the time for waiting for the appointment, and it will seem ages, more so because you want it over and done with. I am a very impatient person, and want everything done yesterday. :-D :-D :-D You were so patient having to wait for one and a half hours like that. Did they give you a reason for the delay. Enjoy your time with young Charlie.
Marie, I am going to have to google Kurajong trees, I have to admit I have never heard of them. Are they just a tree that grows in your climate, or would they grow over here. Oooh a wedding, how lovely for you all. I am sure Sarah will make a lovely bride. I am sure which ever dress you chose, you will look lovely in it. You will have to send us a photo of yourself done up in your finery. It's good to hear that the family are all well Marie.
Ann, don't forget to get the extra large trunk, ready for me to sneak into, for your Tenerife holiday. I know you could do with the extra company when T shoots off for a game of golf, and I don't need much in the way of food, just make sure you keep me topped up with water. ;-) ;-) ;-) I envy you, flying away for days of sunshine, and relaxation. You have been very lucky missing out on the snow haven't you. Mind you, we definately cant complain ourselves here in Kent.
We are going Easter Egg delivering tomorrow. Thank goodness most of the grandchildren are now grown up. There is only 6 grandchildren/ great grandchildren under 18 now, so it's not quite as expensive as it used to be.
I bet I will miss Sallie tonight. So I will say a big hello Sallie, sorry I missed you. Bye for now girls, love to you all. Mo xxx

Hi girls, Marie, lovely to see you on here. You are lucky having a nice warm autumn, as you know it is very cold here in the UK. We had about four inches of snow last weekend here in our part of Derbyshire, and although most of it has gone there is still some of it about. We always say that it's hanging about for more.......I hope that that won't be the case.
I knocked a mug off the kitchen yesterday afternoon and it landed on one of my toes.At the time it really hurt a lot but it isn't so painful today although it's paiful when I move it and when I walk, so I am on my heel of that foot.....toe iis a few shdes of black, blue and red.lol!! We are going to a 60th birthday do tonight, with a buffet and then a disco, so won't be doing too much dancinglol!!.....not that Alun does much dancing when we go to party anyway. I usually find that not many of the men dance, they just leave the dancing to the women.
Well I must go and get ready now, so will speak to you all tomorrow.
Take care everyone.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Marie, how nice to see you. Lucky you having so much warm weather. I think we here will soon be dressing like eskimos if our weather doesn't improve, our winter seems to be going on forever. However, down here in Gloucestershire, at least in the Severn Valley, we have had hardly any snow. We can see it on the surrounding hills but none where we are. We keep thinking that it surely can't go on for much longer.
I shall be glad to go to Tenerife in may for some warmth. (I am told it is 26 degrees there today).

Dear Friends, I am sorry to see and hear on the news of all the snow you are having, I do hope you are all well and your homes are warm, unlike you we have been having some lovely weather , our night's are chilly but our autumn is nice and warm. I have been spending all my time in my garden trying to get it ready for winter, I still have 5 Kurajong trees to plant in the next few days, I have had them for awhile but we needed rain before I could dig the holes to put them in. when I get them planted I will have to protect them as it wont be long and we will have our frost's.
My Family are all well,my Granddaughter Sarah will be married on the 6th of April. I have two frocks one for a warm day the other for a cool day, so I wont know which one I am wearing until the Day arrives, I didn't buy a new dress the Warm one is royal blue and I have only worn it once, the other is a green strapless with a long jacket, I bought it years ago and have never worn it .
I am rather tired so will close , Love and Hugs to you all <3 Marie

Jean glad you got that over, I guessed you'd have a long wait. I hate that sitting in the waiting room all looking at each other. Sounds hopeful then if he thinks it is nothing to worry about so good.
Have a lovely easter with Charlie. <3 <3 <3

Morning all, we went to the hospital last night, the cold was severe and we eventually got in to see the consultant at 8.35 my appointment time was 7.10, there were only four people waiting , it took ages, well he had a look and I have to have a biopsy, In about two weeks when I get a time to go, he seems to think it is nothing to worry about but need to be sure....we had decided to have some tea when we got back , but as it was so late couldnt face cooking , Debra was out, so we called at the chippy ..... I couldnt get warm so put the lecky blanket on and went to bed, it took ages to get warm, so thank you all for your kind wishes and prayers, I will hopefully get some cards done later, and Charlie is coming at some point over the break, so enjoy your Easter time, at least the weather looks a bit better .... isnt it this weekend we put the clocks forward an hour? lovely light nights,,,, :-D :-D :-D just going to have a coffee so chat later keep warm, Mo , I hope your problem is soon sorted and it will be quickly dealt with, take care, we are praying for you l,
love Jean xx <3 <3

Thanks Ann, couldn't remember what time Jean's appointment was for..I had hoped it was an early appointment so that it got it out of the way.
Glad to hear that your dishwasher is sorted and that the model you have is not one of the models that have not caused fires. I'm glad that we had a new dishwasher, if it had been left up to Alun we wouldn't have had one, but I really missed the dishwasher as I hate washing up by hand, so eventually he agreed that we would buy a new one.
Our dinner is ready now, so better go and dish it up.

Ashamed to say I haven't found time to do any knitting since I started the cardigan, I do have to be in the mood and the cardigan has a double cable up the front and back so I have to refresh my memory on doing cable which I keep putting off. I will be fine once I get going as I used to knit Arran sweaters for the children when they were young.
Jean's appointment is not until this evening so I expect she is nervous now. I am sure she will know thatw e are all thinking about her.
It was sunny here today but still cold. We just went for the papers then round to the local garden centre for a coffee. had to wait in first for the Bosch dishwasher man to come and change a switch - the one that has caused fires and prompted the recall. He said our machine was not showing any sign of danger anyway, he also said the model we had, he hadn't found any of them showing danger signs which is good. Except that since we knew I have been washing up by hand which now seems unnecessary Lol.

Hello girls, I'm just wondering how Jean has got on at the hospital today, I hope and pray that there is nothing to worry about.
We went to Derby this morning I needed to get some meat from the butchers in one of the market halls and also had to go to the craft shops for some more card and paper. As usual I couldn't resist buying two embossing folders.lol!! It was very cold there so we went into our favourite tea/coffee shop and had lunch there. Also bought some books in W.H Smiths, three for £12.99, which was good as just one cost £7.99. So looking forward to a good read, but I only mostly read in bed, it tends to relax me so that I go to sleep a lot easier.
Mo, how are you feeling today? I hope that you are feeling better and are well enough to be able to play darts this evening.
Jeni, how is the knitting going? I expect you have done a good bit of the the Arran cardigan for Scarlett by now. Hope you are feeling better and are taking things easy.
Ann, have you done anymore of the cardigan that you have started for your expected grt grandchild. I have to be in the mood for knitting these days, although when R and J were small I did knit some jumpers and cardigans for them. As you know I'm more into card making these days.lol!!
Well I must go now , speak to you all later.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Sallie glad you liked it. I like the Marianne dies but haven't noticed that one. I hope that Jenni gets on ok with her denture. I have had a top front teeth (3 teeth) one since I was 21 as I had an abcess after having our daughter. It will take some getting used to I'm sure as she will probably have one they consider temporary for 6 months. Trouble with that is having to pay twice.
Shall be thinking of you tomorrow Jean and hoping all is OK.
Mo, I walked round to get the papers this morning and thought it was very cold but T said once out of the wind they didn't find it was too bad. He was well kitted up with three layers then his jacket and long warm socks etc.
