Hello my friends, I have had a p.m from Jean, and the reason we have not heard from her, is that J is poorly at the moment. Get well soon J, and Jean, keep up the cups of tea and biscuits for him, they are a good medicine dontcha know....well thats what me mum used to say, when she wanted a cuppa, and for me to make it.
I hope everyone is o.k, as it's quiet again on here, and I miss ya's all. Love and hugs especially for J and Jean. Mo xxx

Well done on the commendations Huia. Mind you, I am not really surprised,as you are so good at it. I hope you managed to stay awake at the hospice shop, and not fall asleep over the counter. I don't like it when we are travelling when it's raining, and at night it's even worse. The oncoming headlights blind me no end, so it's just as well I don't drive at night really. I thought we were due to have another...heatwave today...something or someone went wrong, here in the south east it was wet and cold this morning, but it brightened up this afternoon. Heres hoping eberyone is well. Take care girls, love Mo xxx

Good evening to anybody still around.
Yesterday was very wet in the morning, but it cleared up in the afternoon when I was working in the shop. I was very glad about that, as I went to the camera club in the evening. It was bad enough having to keep dipping my headlights for cars coming the other way, but at least there was no rain with it. I got 3 Highly Commendeds for my 4 entries, so quite pleased.
I didnt get to sleep until after 3 a.m. so I dont know how long I can stay awake this morning. I was determined not to take any sleeping pill. At least I am not planning on going anywhere today.

Just a quick hello to you all. I hope everyones o.k. We decided today, to take a trip down to the coast, as the sun was shining and it was a glorious day. After parking the car, in a car park that at the time was reasonably empty, we walked right along the sea front, watching some stupid idiots, speeding across the water on their jet ski's. How there wasn't an accident I don't really know. The lifeguards went along the water front warning people not to go to far out in the sea. Suddenly, the sun went behind a cloud, and didn't bother to re-appear. Deciding we had had enough, we got into the car to come home. Good grief, the traffic still going down to the coast was horrendous, and we were so grateful we were heading in the opposite direction, coming home. And believe it or not, the sun has not come out again, since we left the coast. Whats the saying " The sun shines on the righteous" we were happy to get home and have a nice cuppa tes. I did think of our Sallie when I took my first sip, knowing that had she been with me, Sallie, would definately have joined me. lol ;-) We are both little tea pots on the quiet. Time to start some dinner now, so bye for now gilrs. Love to all Mo xxx

Hi girls,
Jean lovely to see you on here, I was getting worried about you as we haven't heard from you for a good many days. Glad to know that both you and J are feeling a bit better.
I know you told me that your mother was from N Wales but didn't know that she was from Newtown. Do you know if Newtown was in Montgomeryshire? One of my grt grt grandmotheras was born in that county, but I am having a job finding anything about her....it's more difficult with her name being Margaret Williams.lol!!
Ann, hope that you and T are enjoying your holiday and that you are having some hot and sunny weather.
Doctor has referred me to see someone, as he's not entirely happy about the medication that I am on. So will just have to wiat and see now.
Mo, while we were visiting my cousin, we managed to find a row of cottages near Mold, in Flintshire where one of my grt grandfather's was born......only problem was I couldn't remember which number he lived in. Although it looks a lovely place and area now, I'm not sure it would have been like that in my grt grandfathers day as there was a coal mine near there.
It's a shame that Roly isn't interested enough to take you to see your grandparents grave in Essex. Like Roly, my brother is not at all interested in genealogy, although he does like to hear about some of the things that I have found out.
My paternal grandparents lived in Stoke on Trent for a number of years, where three of their children were born and one died there age three months. Some of the houses in the street they lived in are still standing, but the house they lived in was demolished a good few years ago. There is a road now where the houses used to be.
Well I am going to have a cuppa now, so will speak to you all tomorrow.
Take care everyone.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Hi Mo, been a lovely day here today about 26 on the patio this afternoon. We walked down into town and were very energetic walking back up the 200 steps. Had to have quite a few rests on the way though.
Jean, sorry to hear that you and J have not been well, hope you are both better now.
Re the heat wave Mo, you know you always have one when we are away. :-D

Jean honey, sorry to hear that you have both been under the weather. That blessed vertigo just doesn't go completely does it, it comes back and smacks on the back of your head before you realise it. Don't lose to much weight, or we wont recognise you, and we love you the way you were.
Time for tea now, it's nearly six p.m and I am hungry. Bye my lovelies, speak to you later. Love Mo xxx

Sallie my mother was born in North Wales near Newtown, but as you know Llandudno is our favourite place.... hope all was well with your visit to the doctors. just waiting to see what my results will be when i get there....

Sylvia, apparantly we are due for a heat wave on Monday.....lol we will believe it when we feel it. One can never rely on our weather forecasters, they have made so many mistakes in the past, so probably like most folk in the U.K, we take each day as it comes. We were going to go down to Hastings tomorrow, but Roly read in the local paper yesterday, that hundreds of bikers would be descending there. Parking is a nightmare at the best of times, so we wont be venturing that way, thats for sure.
It's good to hear that you had a nice time in Wales Sallie. There are times when I feel I would like to visit my grandparents graves, in Essex. Shelly from the friendlies thread, sent me a couple of photo's she had taken of them for me. But it's hard for me to get Roly to understand my interest in geneology, so there is no way he would want to go and visit their graves. Most of his family were all cremated, so he has no interest. And the houses that the family lived in, in one road, have all been demolished, and a new housing estate built on the site. What a shame that progress can end an era that is of interest to me.
Well my friends, I will say bye for now. Love and hugs to you all. Mo xxx

Hi Mo, and everyone
Thank you all for your condolences xxx
Yes ..... a great blessing that R's death was peaceful, that he didn't suffer too much ......... and he is out of pain.
I phoned his wife this evening ............... and she is feeling a lot of relief at knowing what the situation is, and no longer afraid of "what is going to happen next".
We have got some glorious weather, right through to next Tuesday, at least!
The forecasters are even talking of possible record high temperatures :-D :-D
Sallie .................. glad that you had a lovely time in Wales
Take care everyone

Hello girls,
Had a lovely time in N. Wales with my cousin and her daughter. We had some beautiful weather so was able to go out for a run out in the car. I wanted to see where one of my grt grandfather's was born, strange that he came from a few miles from where my cousin is living at the moment.
Sylvia, so sorry to hear about your friend. It is good that he went quietly and peacefully. I know that he will be sadly missed by all his family and friend. May he rest in peace.
Jean, hope you are alright, we haven't heard from you for a while.
Hope our other friends are on here are all okay.
Speak to you all tomorrow.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Hi Mo, only just got managed to get on here, it's been a busy day with one thing and another.
Glad it all went well at the the doctor's yesterday, at least you now know that it was to do with your IBS.
Alun and I are going over to my cousin's in North Wales tomorrow, we are only going for the day, she is borrowing our carpet cleaner and steam cleaner so that she can leave the house nice and clean when her and her daughter will move out. Looking forward to seeing them both, as haven't seen them since before Christmas.
I hope all our friends on here are all alright.
Will speak to you on Friday. Take care everyone.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Hi Sallie, Sorry I didn't manage to get back on last night, to give the results about my scan. Thank goodness everything is fine, and the outcome of the pain, is after all, to do with my IBS. She has given me tablets to shift the wind pains, that are rustling up under my rib cage. To be honest, thats what I thought was wrong in the first place, but the doctor was thinking otherwise. Still it's better to have had it all checked out, that alone has put my mind at rest. I will p.m you love. I hope everyone is well. Love to you all Mo xxx

Mo, sorry I didn't get on here sooner , but I'm afraid it has been one of those days.lol!!
Hope all went well at the doctors for you, that you came out on top about last week's appointment and that the results of your scan were nothing to worry about. I am thinking about you, and hoping and praying all is well.
I have an apponitment with the doctor tomorrow morning at 10-30, so shall be glad when that is out of the way. My friend and I are then going to do some shopping and then have some lunch out, for a change.
Hope everyone else is alright. Will speak to you all tomorrow evening.
Take care.

Oooh thanks Huia, i'm glad that the gel will work, eventually. I am going to get the weed killer, that can be diluted in water, and spray it underneath the fence panels where our gardens meet at the back as well. The woman over the back, only gets someone to come and clear the weeds once a year, and then they have a big bon fire to burn them. Good grief the smell and smoke is awful, but we daren't complain to much, or she would never de-weed at all. Doctors for me at five p.m, so I will let you know who comes out the winner of last weeks appointment error, myself or the doctors receptionist, lol At least I wll get the official results of my scan then as well. Bye for now my lovelies. Mo xxx
