Hello Jeni, Scarlett will eat when she feels like it my love. By eating yoghurts, fruit and some veggies, she is getting nourishment, and you know what they say " you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make it drink" the same goes for children. Our Lilly is very much like Scarlett, she goes through periods of eating everything she sees, then goes of food for days on end, eating only what she feels like. When she is with other children, she seems to think it's a competition, and will eat as much, if not more than the other child. But then I think, children enjoy having other little ones around, when enjoying a snack etc. We know what it's like when we have to eat alone, we tend to not eat a full meal, just having something quick to sustain us. Unlike you, we have rain nearly all day, and we are sat here with the heating on, yet again. It's good to see you on here, please come back and see us very soon. It gets a little lonely on this thread at times.
Hope you are all well, take care of yourselves, love Mo xxx

Morning everyone, hope you all had a good weekend. Mo glad to hear Roly is beginning not having so many headaches, I bet he enjoyed his trip out, being indoors all the time isn't good is it? As you say he has to take things slowly, but men are so impatient aren't they? Have just seen the weather forecast for today, chance of thunder storms, it is very warm here at the moment but cloudy, so suppose we could have them later, oh dear! I have just turned the horses out, looks like they will have to go back in, HELP!!! does anyone have any tips for getting a 3 year old to eat, my granddaughter doesn't eat very much, and doesn't like meat at all. she loves yoghurts, some fruits and raw carrots, she has cereal for breakfast but the rest of the day she eats very little. Oh dear, sorry for having that moan. Hope you all enjoy your day. Take care and stay safe. Jean xx :-) :-) :-)

Many thanks Ann. I hope you are both having a good time. We are having a lovely day today, we do have some nice weather sometimes,( but not very often as you know) LOL
I took Roly up to see friends at the club today. We were only there for a couple of hours, and bless him, he is tired out. He would insist on going, and I believe he wanted to test himself, to see if he had the strength to do it. A little at a time I keep telling him, but he is so insistant that he can do things as he did before....stubborn monkey.
Hoping you are all well, and sending you my best wishes girls. Love Mo xxx

Hi all. Mo I hope that Roly continues to improve and that the headache stays away. Good for you to get out as it is easier for you to look after him if you have had time out. Stay strong but as others have said a weep is not a sign of weakness. Take care of you. <3 <3 <3

Hello girls, Just popping in quickly to let you know that things are o.k at the moment with Roly. I am watching the Eurovision Contest at the moment, waiting for Bonnie Tyler to represent the U.K. I pity anyone who sings for our country, as the voting is so political, that our singers don't stand a chance. But heres hoping we at least don't come bottom this year. Take care everyone. Love Mo xxx

Mo, glad to hear that today has been a better day for Roly. It's good that he didn't need to take Paracetemol as often today with the pain being not so constant and severe.
It was nice that you were both able to go out for coffee with your friends, it makes a nice change from the same four walls. Hope you enjoyed your game of darts tonight and that your team won. Speak to you again tomorrow.
Love to both you and Roly.
Take care. Sallie.xxx

Thank you Jean and Sallie, your kind words mean so much to me. Today has been a better day for Roly. He didn't take any Paracetamol from 4.30 a.m till 4.30 p.m today. The headache is in the back ground now, thank goodness. I drove us up to town today, for coffee with our friends, to get us both out of these four walls. I am going to darts tonight, but leaving my neighbour in charge of Roly. She was a nurse for 42 years, so would know what to do in an emergency. As much as I want to go, I am still a little reluctant to leave him, but know that life has to go on. I will speak to you tomorrow girls. Love and hugs Mo xxx

Mo, I hope the headaches will start to get easier for Roly from now on and that he is over the worse. I hope and pray that he will improve a little bit each day, so that he recovers slowly but surely.
I'm sure that it must be very difficult to keep strong and positive all the time, so Mo cry if you want to. As Jean said, it isn't a sign of weakness, it is a safety valve, it will help relieve the stress and tension you are feeling, so a good cry will help you get through.
I'm always here for you so either send me a message or e-mail me.
Sending both you and Roly lots of positive thoughts and love.
Love and best wishes. Sallie and Alun.xxx

Mo, I was just about to write to you , I do hope Roly settles down as it must be awful for him, we are praying that it doesnt go any worse for him or you too, my friends brother had a simular thing last year , but because he was treated quickly and it was a minor stroke he is fine now, and back at work, but it is a worrying time for you all... you can only be there for each other when these things happen, please remember its not a sign of weakness having a weep, almost like a saftey valve, so sob away lovey, I know you have a strong spirit and will come through this,we are always here for you, either message, e-mail or phone.
love and prayers Jean and Jeff xxx .

Hello girls, Sallie, I took Roly back to our G.P today, as his headache is horrific at times. The G.P has confirmed what I thought, and that is, he will obviously have the pain, after what his brain went through. I just have to watch out for any changes in him, ie worse head pain, mouth drooping, slurring of his words, in fact all the signs they show you on T.V of signs of a stroke. I am trying to keep strong, even though at times I feel like having a good old sob. The trouble is, I am watching him all the time, looking for any differences in him. It's hard going, but I wont let it beat me. I do hope you are all well, and I must apologise if I am not here as often I feel I should be. Take care my friends, love and hugs, Mo xxx

Mo, sorry to hear that Roly has been in hospital suffering from a stroke.... I'm glad that they caught it in time so that it wasn't a lot worse. Let's hope that the medication he is on now will keep his BP down and will also help his heart.
Will Roly have to go to your doctor's to sort out his diabetes or will he make a home visit?
Please give him our get well wishes....we are thinking about you both.
Take care of yourself.
Love, Sallie.xxx

Hello girls, just a quick update on Roly. The hospital are saying that he had a stroke, but good news, we caught it in time. He came home this afternoon, and went up to bed at 9.20 p.m, as he is so tired, with getting no sleep in hospital. The results of his scan came through, and his kidneys and bladder are fine, but he has slightly enlarged heart. I had a word with the registrar today, and he tells me that Roly is lucky to have the shunt fitted from his last bleed, as it will help should he get fluid on the brain as he did last time, the shunt should get rid of it. The meds he is on now, should keep his B.P down, and helps his heart, but we have to see our own doctor re his diabetes. His level dropped again at dinner time, down to 3.7, and it should be 4 up to 10 at the highest. I came to the conclusion that the wards give the patients breakfast, at 7 a.m with a cup of tea, and they get nothing till 12.30 lunch time, not even a mid morning tea or coffee, so it was no wonder his glucose level dropped so drastically. Thank you all for your kind wishes, and I send you all my love. Love and hugs Mo xxx

Oh Mo, so sorry to hear about Roly our prayers go out for you both, I am sure the treatment will be a great help. but lovey, you try and rest when you can, he is in the right place so you need to be careful that your mind doesnt play games I know mine did when Jeff was so ill, try and hand it over to the Lord his shoulders are broad and can give you strength to endure. you know we are here for you both and will keep you close in our hearts and prayers, much love to you both.....love Jean and Jeff xx

Hello ladies, So sorry for not posting before, but I have spent the last three days at the hospital with Roly. He had a brain bleed on Thursday, and his blood pressure was sky high, at 222/90, the hospital has been trying to bring it down gradually day by day. Luckily today it was at a more comfortable level, and he was more talkative, instead of being uncommunicative and talking gobbledy gook. Today he had a small blip, when his diabetes level dropped to 3, something it has never done before, but after a glucose drink it went up to the correct level. On Monday we hope to be able to discuss with the doctor the reason for this and the bleed to have happened. He had scans on his brain, kidneys, bladder and chest, but we have not as of yet heard the results of them. Well my lovely friends, I must go to bed now as I am completely shattered. I hope you are all keeping well, and that Ann will send us a little sunshine again this week, rather than the hailstorms we have suffered here in Kent today. Good night god bless you all. Love Mo xxx

I have put my 4 photos on my FB page, Mo, so you can judge them for yourself. I have to email them to the club newsletter editor. She prints some of the photos in the newsletter. I tried to send them last night, but hotmail has changed and it was taking a month of Sundays to upload the 3rd photo, so I cancelled that one and sent the other 2. I now have to see if I can send the remaining ones. Why do websites keep changing things for the worse? :-|
