I like Black Forest Trifle

Choc sponge,Cherries & brandy in blackcurrant jelly, thick choc sauce & topped with cream & choc shavings
..................
The bees from a nieghbours hive make a 'bee line' for my garden ... you don;t get more local than that!

Jac Report 15 Apr 2009 22:46

Yeah but Rose - if a Bee got cornered on a No.97 bus (as happens) and couldnt get off until 20 miles away, he'd be hungry and thirsty and would land on the nearest lavender or something when he was able to get off, wouldnt he????

So..........even if he got home that night, then he would be bringing pollen from a plant not "local" to his hive. Do you see?

Jac ... a little 'precision' for you ;)

How far does a bee travel in her search for nectar or honey?

Bees always prefer it when they find flowers close to the hive. However, bees will forage as far away from the hive as one to five miles.

( unless of course they get trapped on the no 47)

lol Sue, I liked jelly and custard....oh, also those sponge fingers ...now what were they called? oooh yes I know 'boudoir biscuits' :) I used to dunk them in my tea...but you have to be quick as they go limp very quickly......is that why they are called 'boudoir biscuits' ?????? hmmmm

Don't be silly, Keith - the second part of your answer negated the first part.

That's my girl Sylvia - say it how you see it!!! ))) sex and travel broadens the mind I think!

Rose - can you be absolutely sure though that the bees have only travelled locally, and didnt get trapped on the No.47 going 20 miles in the opposite direction? See, I like precision in my medicine.

Robin - is that a strawberry or raspberry trifle? I like strawberry but prefer raspberry but some times they give me the pip.

Rambling

Rambling Report 15 Apr 2009 22:35

So Keith if all these people who you used to say were wonderful and admirable are now terrible, is it your judgement or your loyalty that's not up to much?
