No reason was given-how pathetic is that?

Once upon a time, only the posts that "gave offence" would have been deleted. Several complaints do not constitute a reason for deletion of the whole thread, in my opinion.

Perhaps (said tongue in cheek), several people could send complaints about the old sticky.

Yeah Kitty seems to get a bit *personal* in her replies..especially when my name pops up..dunno why don't think Ive ever spoken to her on here..oh well..

Anyroad..I did enjoy the thread in question..was fun and I even added a few times...but it was a bit near the knuckle, and Im amazed that it lasted for as long as it did..my threads don't last 5 minutes these days :0(
But I just accept it and move on!

Did GR give you an indication as to what were the nature of the complaints?

I never read any of the thread but I did press the Request review once (not this thread I promise) as in my innocence/ignorance I did not understand what it meant. Not that that could have happened ++++++ times in this case.
If I dont like a thread I would just ignore it.

I'm sorry the threads been whooshed although I haven't read it right through. Some people are trigger happy unfortunately.

I also can't understand blind loyalty to people you've never met and allow yourself to be dragged along regardless of what other people think and know about them.

I always enjoyed reading about Nigel's escapades ........... It was harmless fun and I think it's out of order for someone to complain to GR about the thread but not have the decency to PM Eeyore or come on this thread and say what offended them. Like most true GR members, if I had a problem with a post, I would come out and say so. Hiding behind anonymity just because it suits you is downright pathetic and not in the true spirit of GR. It creates bad feeling and suspicion. So will the real complainers please step forward....... Are you man/woman enough?? No, I thought not......................

Do you not think we should be informed if a Thread is being deleted & why.A lot of people put a lot of work into them & a lot of people enjoy reading them.Seems reasonable.

You friends can abuse anyone, make threats, be downright nasty evil scum - but hey you'll still stand by them - wow!!
Credit to you Mel - not sure that 99% of people could do that - I know I couldn't - I would make sure I put as much distance as possible between me and anyone who was like that., I wouldn't want to be tarred with the same brush ( oh I mean real friends, not names on screens that I have never met )

Right off to deal with my kids, OH, the dog, the job and my Dad - Gosh I don't know how I fit in even 10 mins on here, could never manage hours and hours on here
