Afternoon everyone, am now back indoors, have had a lovely day, went to Old Portsmouth first, sat by the waters edge over looking Portsmouth harbour, even had a half a shandy, watching all the boats and ferries on the water, then went to the Hard, thats by Portsmouth dockyard where the Victory is in dry dock, there is a pub there called the Lady Hamilton it doesn't look much when you step inside , sailors used to use it in the18th century but the landlady (Rose) is just great always a cheery hello from her and the roast dinner is to die for, (never have room for a pudding) well from there we went to Hayling Island and had a walk by the sea but a mist was decending but was lovely ,now oh is zzzzzzzzzzz in the chair and me well telling you all about my day, this evening a nice rhubarb crumble for tea couple of drinks and a end to a perfect day.

I have been there, knew I had, have been on The Victory too. Our family adore history, have been to so many places.

mmm, must make a note of The Lady Hamilton (Nelson's mistress), sounds mmmm, delish!

One of the reasons (apart from having family in Portsmouth) I remember so much of the history is that I was awarded 100% for a project I did on Nelson. Gosh I got carried away, twas fascinating, that's why we went to Buckler's Ard too.
