Carol
From what I saw the other morning( it was just becoming dawn there) the mast is well into the water....and the camera was right the way back,
when the camera pans back the nesting tower/mast is clearly IN the lake, although not very far from a bank, maybe the water is not very deep there, BUT!!!!!
hope all goes well fer the little baldy , 3?(1st two eggs were addled, methinks)
Bob

19:17 the camera was watching the other eagle, and has now returned to focus on the nest.......it IS in the water.....and the chick is on its own, in the nest.....raining quite heavily, by the look of it!!

Bobtanian Report 11 Apr 2009 18:49

What happens if,
the chick falls out of the nest? on the ground they could still care for it but on water?

wonder if the eagles have enough savvy to rescue it?

they have a wide angle camera now, and at this moment the sun is just coming up!!! brilliant pics.
Bob

A few moments ago they resited the wide cam, I guess that the sun wouldnt do the cam any good, its now focussed on the nest ing tower

When I wrote my earlier post I hadnt noticed that they have updated their blog re: the nest activities.... I DID have thoughts that the earlier eggs were past it, a week after the chick hatched. looks like all is going well at the mo tho'......
