I think it might be days rather than hours before we hear anything of Mick, so keep him and all our cousins in Victoria, NSW and other areas suffering the wildfires at the moment in your thoughts and prayers.

Just found on a blog added 30 mins ago...(was googling Micks town), that spotfires are breaking out in the area, no doubt caused by embers.

Still thinking of Mick and now of Daphne, it must be terrifying. How awful that arsonists can cause this devastation. And I doubt they will be caught.

I'm scared sitting here reading about it and seeing the pictures, i don't know how the people out there are feeling. It might be about 3.30am there but I bet nobody is sleeping.

Apparently the wind has died down a bit now. Still no news of Mick.

Best place to get the news... http://www.abc.net.au/news/

What a tradedy. My heart goes out to all those who are being
threatened by the fires. I do hope they are controlled soon.
The firemen too, must be exhausted.

Val.

Fourteen people have been killed in the savage bushfires which set Victoria ablaze on Saturday. 6 people all in one car

Victoria police confirmed the deaths on Saturday night and said they fear the figure may reach into the 40s.

This was on MSN
it is going to devistate Victoria

Thousands of firemen are fighting fires everywhere

One whole Town has gone up in flames it is like a war zone

I Hope Mick in the bush is safe. Probably the electric and phone lines will be down

Please also spare a thought for one of our members Daphne. Her son is on evacuation orders and has been ready to leave since 2pm Aussie time.
The wind keeps changing and one minute they are safe the next minute they are in trouble again. Luckily she has been in contact with her son most of the day by Mobile phone

Damned Arsonists to blame according to the news. Lock them away and throw away the key

Regards
Jackie
