	Mick Thank God you're safe! Thank God for Elvis! So glad you , your house and chookhouse weren't swamped by the water from Elvis.They do a great job,don't they?How are your chooks and goats,not too waterlogged I hope,lol.... You are very lucky. Margot.

They also tend to be started deliberately and due to the terrain are difficult to contain. If no houses are involved they tend just to let them burn. very scary when you see them. Rosalind

The houses on both sides of me are gone, but I saved my house. I lost a shed, a caravan, a trailer and a water tank. I didnt lose any animals, not a single chook! I was saved by a gigantic firebombing helicopter called "Elvis" that dropped load after load of water on my house, my shed and even my chookhouse! When i write a book about this horrific day, I'm going to call it - "ELVIS BOMBED MY CHOOKHOUSE!" - lol XXXXXXXXXX to you all mick

	I have been watching the news re the appalling fires in Australia and have sent messages to my family connections. How can anyone start these terrible fires. It must be terrifying My prayers to everyone involved including all the fire workers hospital staff etc May God keep you safe Bossy Boots
