1.20 pm - property completely shaded by smoke now -high up - none at ground level. I have been watching the giant fire bombing choppers refilling with water at the dam over the road! Amazing sight - they can refill literally in seconds! Took some photos that I will post on another site! |

1.38 pm - 2 big spot fires - one about 1 km to the west and another about the same to the south - looks like its burning along the roadside. Still no embers falling here thank gawd! |

Guess you couldn't avoid this for ever, Mick, but hope the fires get put out soon and meantime the wind changes direction so it doesn't fan them towards you, smoke or flames. Is the position any better now? Do you have folk who will help you move the livestock if you need to? |

3.30pm - spot fires to the southeast, south and west at the moment. Thick smoke here and embers starting to fall. |

Just seen the pictures on BBC news briefly, its really wild and scary, but they are working really hard to control it. My thoughts go out to all our Aussie friends out there, it's their evening now around 7.45pm. |
