So, the galmorous blonde behind you in the queue - her with the beehive and no specs - leaps forward and arm wrestles you to the ground - as she thinks that the chap is stopping for her?

You jumped in the back of a car and ended up in London...

You didn't spot the glamourous blonde standing right behind you that he had actually stopped for?

at the busstop about 1965 it was.....anyway a car stopped at the busstop because of the traffic and BC jumped in it thinking it was her lift....however it was a police car taking a convict to court.....am I close BC ?

I've worn them for year. A brief stint at contacts but they didn't agree with me and made my nose look huge! At least with glasses I can slip them down a bit so the conk is not too obtrusive!

The only thing I really really hate about glasses is that they steam up when you come in from the cold! Does that serioulsy p*ss me off? Yes.

And don't take any notice of those daft ads on TV for glasses - they all have perfect vision - you can see those lenses are just plain glass! As if wearing glasses is some sort of bonus! Pah!

Good luck next week - hope you don't need them - but there are some funky frames around so go for something really bizarre if you have to wear them!

I was far too vain to wear glasses when I was younger. Until...and I shall always remember it was on a Wednesday, approximately 9.15am....Picture it, Dublin, a major Bus Strike, was offered a lift to work every day by a very nice man I worked with...*gulps......

Do they make you look intelligent? Nah - can still see your face!

The trouble with you fashion aficionadoes (sp?) is that you worry too much.

When you are naturally gifted with defective vision (like what I am) then your choice is limited to the one pair - with or without clip ons - or maybe two pairs if you're a bit flush.

My vision is sooooo bad (milk-bottle bottoms if they were glass but they're not - they're that specially thinned Japanese lens stuff) that I try to have two pairs on the go - even though they are expensive - 'cos if I broke a pair I couldn't see to make a cup of tea, let alone drive to work, let alone work!

So, I have one normal pair (which are apparently designer frames but I didn't know that when I chose them) and one other pair which are also reactor lenses which are great when the sun shines.

Then I have the hat!
