Hello Hazel
I do hope your Mum is out of her Misery soon. It must be so hard for you.
The hanging on and waiting in the worst part.
Maybe she is waiting for permission to go. I know when my mother was dying we said to her "Its OK Mum you can go we will be OK." She was in a coma at that stage
Within a few Minutes of us saying that she passed away. Maybe it is coincidence but my sister and I really believed she was waiting for permission.
Anyway you take care of yourself and I hope that your Mother soon has some peace.
Take Care
Love
Jackie

Mum not at all well today. No longer has the strength to sit in the reclining chair. She is in a cosy air-bed now. She keeps stopping breathing for about 15 seconds, then gasps and has a glazed, faraway look. She can only whisper for her Mam now.

I love her to bits but want her distress to end.

happy birthday to your Mum. Maybe in her head she was having a fabulous party. I hope so and I hope she enjoyed it. 91 a great age to achieve.

Roller coaster day. Sophia had a sleep-over then had birthday breakfast with us. She was so excited by the balloons OH had blown up. Then she went off to her other Grannie's for the day.

Mum has had a very quiet birthday. She was up and sitting in the Day Room. However, she had a far-away, rather glazed look in her eyes and just looked ahead. She did not know me today. She didn't look at her cards nor listened when I read them to her and didn't look at her presents. I have left pink roses in her room (she hates red ones). I took her a birthday cake and everyone sang but no response.

Ah well, at least she made it to 91 and is no longer confined to bed.

Thanks for all your support and kind wishes which must have helped her. They certainly helped me.

Sorry that the PMs were similar to this thread - I am so knac***ed I just want to kip for the U.K. but needed to offer thanks.

Love from your friend
Hazel x
