Ann I always stitch my beads on using a very fine needle, find they drop off if sending through the post otherwise.

Spoke to Barbara in Cornwall still not well and finding it difficult to settle in the new house following the death of her husband. I will email you all later with her new address.

Ann, your PVA glue should work well specially if it dries clear.

Hi Issy, thank you. Some of the beads are really tiny and probably need sticking, I don't have any of that glue so will have to look out for it. I rarely use glue but if I do I use PVA tacky glue which does dry clear. I wonder if that would work?

Some of them have a hole large enough to take fine wire I think but never sure with wire how to fix it to cards. Anyway, thanks for your advice.

Happy Birthday Ann, I hope you have had a great day.

How small are your beads and can you thread them? I have some very tiny beads called Art Accentz which I attach using Art Glitter Dries Clear glue, the glue used for glittering. If you can thread a filament through the bead you could use a fine needle to thread some together and then attach them with glue if you dont want to sew them on.

I am going to put this on the scrap book thread too, although not many people read it these days I don't think.

Does anyone do any cards using tiny beads as embellishments? If so do you stick them on or use wire? And, if you stick them what medium do you use? Glue or tape? I had some as part of my birthday present and have never used them before.

Hazel, you can buy decoupage sheets in craft shops, the pieces are numbered, as long as you are OK cutting out you'd be able to do that OK.

Morning, well what a difference a day makes after the lovely sunshine of the weekend we have the rain back again today, cold and miserable!!

Have 4 of the grandchildren staying at the moment, no idea how I ended up with them all staying never mind just means no time for the computer or card making. At the moment they older ones are having a drink and biscuit and the little one is in bed for an hour, so have come for a quick check of my emails.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the lovely weather, well that is if it was nice where you were.

Hazel I personally do not use a CD to make my cards but it Hallmark do a really good one that makes the cards completely. If you wanted to get an idea the best place is Create And Craft on the TV have lots of really good ones that will help you to make cards they are on Sky and freeview also you can watch it via your computer, they have loads of different discs for every type of card making. If you need further help email me or any of the girls I am sure they will be able to help.

Take care everyone and have a good week.

Hi everyone, sorry have had a hectic week so have not been around much. This week I am travelling to daughters to pack her house up as she is moving house 16 days and is on holiday for the next 10 days. Talk about bad planning either that or she was hoping I would start the packing........ Have her two dogs staying and also the hamster, have to remember not to leave anything around that the puppy can get as it has a tendency to chew.

Made a few cards last week but have still not thought about Christmas cards yet.

Have found that my scanner no longer works with vista so am thinking about buying a new printer scanner, will the spending ever stop!!

Weather has been nice today, well at least it didn't rain.

Man next door has just finished mowing his lawn (22.45) using a noisy petrol mower, I just wonder how on earth he could see it is pitch black here and has been for about 2 hours. Good job the grand kids were not staying.

Sylvia really sorry to hear that you are still not well, really hope they manage to sort you out very soon.

Have a good week all of you.

Hi all,
Just a short note to say I went to the dokter this afternoon. Again, you might say!
Johan pushed me to go, and in fact came with me. We chose a time when my own doctor is on holiday and asked for one of the other doctors, a bit older than my own doctor.
You see on Sunday when we went to Oss to a large car boot sale I fell asleep in the car on the way there and on the way back. When we got home Johan made a cup of tea and I fell asleep until 6.00 pm. I had nothing done for dinner. In fact he had to wake me at 6.00pm
In the evening I fell asleep again and went to bed around 2.00 am then couldn't sleep. I ended up by going to bed at 5.00 this morning. I managed to get up at 7.00 am though.
A nice talk with this doctor and he thinks it may be epilepsy. He told me there are several types of epilepsy.
I have to see a neurologist. What next??

Happy Birthday Tink hope you have a lovely day with lots of lovely cards.

Sylvia lovely to see that they are sorting you out and you are feeling a little better. Taking so many tablets is a pain but if it makes you feel better it is all worth while. Have a lovely time house sitting at your daughters and the stay in the hotel luxury.

Anne I haven't thought about Christmas cards yet, you know me it is always last minute, need to get some inspiration going.

Well it isn't raining here yet today but it is windy and very overcast.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

Hi Sylvia, Pleased to hear that your health is improving, bit of a pain having to take so many tablets, but if they work well worth it.
Hope you enjoy your break at your daughter's house and your 3 nights in the hotel. haven't thought about Christmas cards yet but I notice that the Christmas bits and pieces are starting to appear.

Hi everybody
It is nice to be back, obviously feeling somewhat better. The last thing they found with me was potassium in the blood. I now have to take 6 tablets a day for this and with the vitamine B1 injections and the extra thyroid tablet things seem to be getting better.
I now tke a total of 17 tablets a day.
I have been making some Xmas cards when i felt like it, but usually just fell asleep.
Johan and I are going into our daughter's house in Eindhoven whilst she is away for 3 weeks. From there we can visit some friends and family and Johan has booked a luxury hotel middle of Maastricht for us for 3 nights. From Almere to Maastricht can be done in a day but very tiring so that is why we are taking the opportunity of doing it from our daughter's house.
I am well ahead with the Birthday Girls cards, so hopefully nobody will be forgotten.
For those who are still sick, I would say "there is light at the end of the tunnel". Yes, I have been there.
Have a nice weekend everyone.

Sorry to hear that you are in so much pain at the moment, make sure you take your time and look after yourself.

Weather here has been very mixed today lots of rain and sunshine! Hasn't stopped the mole digging in the lawn though.
