Yes I need to loose a bit of weight too! Am looking on e bay at the moment for a excercise bike, the old bum needs toning up a bit plus I've heard that it's good for the heart.
Never heard of sea kelp, is it ok to take it without consulting your doctor?

I will seriously think about joining you after New Year if you will have me, need to lose ideally about 1 to 2 stone. Got the dancing mat for the Wii for Christmas, so will dance my way a little lighter too hopefully. Didnt do it last year but must really make an effort and would love some help.

Still one day to go to New Year, one more day to have chocs!!!!

Hi.,Penny how are you? I have just googled sea kelp tabs, you can get them from Holland and Barretts, they are supposed to help the thyroid , also add iodine to your diet...I tried cider vinegar tabs when we were doing it before didnt seem to make a differance ,only to my purse.... these tabs are always very expensive.....

Not heard of Sea Kelp Maria.

Where do you get it from & in what form is it?

Maria Report 30 Dec 2008 16:48

Dawnie do you think maybe you don't eat enough?

I go to one of the practice nurses at my GP to help me lose weight and after I did a food diary for her she said I was undereating.

I'm trying to eat more often now, especially earlier on the day, and she's also advised me to try taking Sea Kelp and grapefruit juice as they both help to boost the metabolism apparently.

Edit - Sorry only just realised Dawnie didn't add her post today.

Welcome Maria

It has taken me 2 years to lose 4 stone . My theory is , is that if it comes off slowly , if it should go back on it will do so slowly :-)

Maria

Maria Report 30 Dec 2008 15:28

Can I join please?

I have plenty to lose - ideally about 4 stones - so I need all the support I can get, lol.

Good luck everyone. Off for a glass of grapefruit juice to bust some fat :o)

I know how you feel Dawnie, I have to be really strict with myself to lose the smallest amount of weight. It really does get harder as you get older. I work in a kitchen too, which doesn't help! They have just banned us from having our dinner there though, so that might help. We can only eat there if we pay for it and I'm not paying for food that's being thrown away anyway!

Morning Tinky,

I will join you. I lost 2 stone last year when I joined your 'club'

Have put on about 6lbs over the last couple of months.

Am back to water aerobics Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting tomorrow. I know there's New Years Eve to come yet but the way I look at it that's only one meal (crosses fingers)

Good Luck

Linda

I might join you too. My daughter got engaged in September and my son on Christmas day, so probably have 2 weddings coming up soon!!

Really need to lose between 2 and 3 stones, but anything would be an improvement.
