Roll on next Monday :-))

Thank you,Penny, well done! Keep it up!
Blackrose-Maybe you need to vary the type of exercise you are doing to kickstart/shock your body into losing those extra pounds. They always say- if it's not working, change it.That's what I would do.
If you're eating healthy, nutritious unprocessed food (fruit and vegies, lean meat, nuts etc.) the weight should fall off you!
I've just been reading that these foods will help strip the weight off- green tea, cocoa, red grapes, red peppers, and a tiny amount of cinnamon and turmeric daily-half a teaspoon from memory.Another tip was to eat some nuts 20 minutes before a meal-4 walnuts,or 12 almonds,or 20 peanuts, unsalted I presume. They all contain the "good" HDL fat, and will help take the edge off your appetite,so that you eat a little less. Good luck!
Tina~j-Maybe we are twins-I too had a degree in emotional eating sabotaging my weight loss.I've done 2 things to counteract it- so far, both have worked. 1-I have asked my Dr. to prescribe me Duromine weight loss tablets.I have a BMI of 31,so it's allowable, apparently.I take 1 tablet every second day, which stops the food cravings and emotional eating which sabotage the weight loss.It also gives you a little more energy, which is great for exercising.Duromine was a last resort,it works well. 2-I listen to Paul McKenna's weight loss CD-brilliant! When I find myself doing the wrong thing,it kicks in like my conscience, and I hear his voice in my head telling me to do the right thing-works every time! eg if I'm hungry, and starting to bolt my food,I hear his voice saying,"Enjoy every mouthful. Eat your food slowly, put the knife and fork down, put the sandwich down, but enjoy ...every.... mouthful.... so I go,"Oh yes-oops! "and do it.It really does check those bad habits! Works for me,too! You do what's right for you,but I hope this helps.
Good luck,everyone.

I would say 6 miles a day is quite a lot. As long as your food intake is lower than what you need to survive & its healthy eg low fat you should lose weight. Remember muscle is heavier - are your clothes feeling looser?

Well done Helen in Kent, and Theresa for your weight loss, and to everyone else who is trying hard.
Tina~j-I hope your neighbours have got good earplugs-lol-not really,it's great that you're having fun while you work out,and look forward to each session. Twins???? Errr- Maybe???
I measured myself out of curiousity as I wasn't very happy with my weight loss. The tale of the tape is much better-over 2 weeks I lost 1 cm. from my waist, and a whopping 8cm. from my tummy (bellybutton measurement). WOOHOO!!!! All the daily walking, doing the Plank exercise and the Ab King Pro are paying off,I feel a lot more positive now.You really do have to look at the whole picture, and not focus on those rotten scales!!!
Good luck everyone, keep focused, and if you have a temporary setback, just ignore it,and keep trying!
Margot.

Well! Self control has not been too good for a while but last week I lost 2lb and this week so far another one so I am feeling a bit more upbeat! Just off to do a Rosemary Conley workout now (yawn). In the past , after a few weeks, I actually enjoy the workouts but I haven't got to that stage yet. Never mind, the bikini beckons.

Hi everyone
Well done to all those who are still going at it - even if like me you are not getting on very well with your scales.
I have been feeling a bit guilty this week (and putting off confessing!) The diet hasn't been too good this last week. The meals themselves were OK it was the 'inbetweenies' that spoilt it. However - I did manage to stay the same (it could have been worse.) I think if there was a degree in 'Eating healthily but just managing to sabotage it enough to prevent weight loss' I would get a 1st class honours with no effort at all - its my specialty! I have managed to get a grip though today - so fingers crossed.
There is good news though - the exercise regime is going very well. My friend and I have kept all our workout dates and are really enjoying doing Coleen Nolan's new exercise DVD - Discoburn. Unfortunately for the neighbours we are now able to keep up and go the right way most of the time, so have begun singing along as we exercise.
I am feeling a big difference in the way my clothes fit, energy levels and even skin condition and am shocked to be able to report that I am looking forward to tomorrows workout!
Margot - I am beginning to wonder whether we are twins and someone forgot to tell us something - snap!
Teresa - well done - another half a pound - it all helps. How did your Salsa class go?
Good luck for next week

Hi everyone,
Thanks for the poem,Linda in Berkshire.
Everyone sounds like they're well on track, well done all of you!
I'm a bit disappointed with my results from the last 2 weeks-I only lost .2kgs the 1st week-(might have had something to do with having a Chinese takeaway on Sat.night), then the 2nd week I actually gained .1 of a kilo, much to my horror! On the bright side,I am motivated to exercise every day,my clothes are definitely looser and fitting better, and on the whole,my food choices are pretty good.I'm enjoying doing salads, and eating healthily, and I'm still determined to keep on losing weight,so hopefully next week will be better!
Good luck everyone,stay focused,
Margot xx

Day from hell!!!
Ice on roads was awful this morning. If my daughter hadnt broken the car door (by trying to force it open in the frost) I would have just gone back to bed (I SHOULD HAVE!!!!); our roads are NEVER gritted! Anyway I trundeled in to college this morning-having dilegently packing a back for the gym- and was going to the mechanic (see above). Half way in aforementioned door decided to shut. DD2 had held it shut for the 2 mile/30min drive..........
DD1 had been instructed to let me know she had got into placement safely thru the frost..............she texted to say car had packed up.......grrrr. Hubby rescued at 9.30am (she was in car for an hour!) but her engine caput/knackered etc...
Went to gym at 1pm as planned to find kit was left on table in the keffuffle this morning; met hubby for BLACK coffee!!!
Between school/placement/creche pick ups I got home about 5pm with the intention of getting to the aqua class at 7.10pm..........................AM I mad????
Tow rope snapped about 5 times before we decided to call in the cavalary -our 7 seater- towed daughter car home and therefore missed aqua by 10 mins!!! Mind you I am glad, when I looked in the pool they were all about size 6!!! Roll on Monday and Salsa class!
I am consoling myself in a glass of wine....................well I was otherwise good today.
Bf: apple, yoghurt with nana and flaxseed
Lunch; 2 oranges, chicken salad
Tea: 75g (uncooked rice) loads of veg and 1 chicken breast with soy. and an orange!
Here to tomorrow...and hopefully the gym, my bag is now packed in the car!
love t.x

Hi Linda, love the poem, so many true words there!!
Glad everyone is doing well, I got weighed today and in 2 weeks have lost the 6lbs I gained over christmas and so I am back to my pre christmas weight
My next goal is to lose a stone by mid march. That will be one year since I started on my "healthy eating plan" and I am just over 4 stone lighter than I was then so am very pleased with myself!! I still have "several" stones to lose by I find just giving myself smallish targets to keep works for me, otherwise I would never have been able to lose the weight I have so far!!
Keep up the good work everyone!! Tina

Linda G, that sounds like something I would do get sidetracked with the roses, although I must admit I never got to finish the tin before the diet took over. That reminds me, there was a box of chocolates on the table when I went to work this morning, it has gone now. Must investigate. Well done on the 2lb off anyway.
Well done Teresa on losing 5lb, you did deserve a little drink or two after looking after all those teenagers, we can overlook that cant we. Fifty lengths of the baths, its a long time since I did that many, I can remember doing 30 and that was a while ago, for charity. Well done!!! I fancy the idea of salsasize, I love dancing thats why I have my dance mat, still a long way to do though before I can even master basic, got nearly all `A`s on beginner level though.
Thanks for putting the poem up Linda in Berkshire, made me laugh and cheered me up, almost forgot I had to go back to work later lol.
Thanks for your words of advice and encouragement Margot, I have resisted the chocolate again, it was very hard this week, but as you say, see what happens on Saturday, going to start going swimming with my sister in a few weeks, but local pool is closed for refurbishment at the moment, bad timing !!
Keep up the good work everyone,
Marilyn x

Theresa, you have done well , I have just done my first week on this new programme the doc gave me, dont know about the weight loss ,if any ,the main thing for me at this moment in time is feeling better, it seems one of the reasons I was so tired was because I wasnt eating enough of the right stuff, now I am on a more balanced way of eating, amd it seems to be working......I am sleeping better too.....If i drop a size in clothes that will be a bonus, so I am not going to do a weigh in until I see the doc again in a few weeks. ........
