A Wee Chuckle for the day

Jim and Mary were both patients in a Mental Hospital.

One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool, Jim suddenly jumped into the deep end.

He sank to the bottom and stayed there.

Mary promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled Jim out.

When the medical director became aware of Mary's heroic act he immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital as he now considered her to be mentally stable.

When he went to tell Mary the news he said, "Mary, I have good news and bad news.

The good news is you're being discharged because since you were able to jump in and save the life of another patient, I think you've regained your senses.

The bad news is Jim, the patient you saved, hung himself with his bathrobe belt in the bathroom. I am so sorry, but he's dead."

Mary replied, "He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry."

Morning Stephen, nice to hear you had a good day with your grandchildren. Like the chuckle for today, gave me a good laugh.

Warmest thoughts and prayers for Pauline. <3 <3

Hope Rita is beginning to feel better, any news of her?
Unfortunately some of the side effects with chemo are very unpleasant
specially if you are already feeling poorly.

A Wee Chuckle for the day

A man is in bed with his wife when there is a rat-a-tat-tat on the door.

He rolls over and looks at his clock, and it's half past three in the morning. "I'm not getting out of bed at this time," he thinks, and rolls over.

Then, a louder knock follows.

"Aren't you going to answer that?" says his wife.

So he drags himself out of bed and goes downstairs. He opens the door and there is man standing at the door. It didn't take the homeowner long to realise the man was drunk.

"Hi there," slurs the stranger. "Can you give me a push??"

"No, get lost. It's half past three. I was in bed," says the man and slams the door.

He goes back up to bed and tells his wife what happened and she says, "Dave, that wasn't very nice of you.Remember that night we broke down in the pouring rain on the way to pick the kids up from the baby sitter and you had to knock on that man's house to get us started again? What would have happened if he'd told us to get lost??"

"But the guy was drunk," says the husband.

"It doesn't matter," says the wife. "He needs our help and it would be the right thing to help him."

So the husband gets out of bed again, gets dressed and goes downstairs.

He opens the door, and not being able to see the stranger anywhere he shouts, "Hey, do you still want a push??"

And he hears a voice cry out, "Yeah, please."

So, still being unable to see the stranger he shouts, "Where are you?"

And the stranger replies, "I'm over here, on your swing."

Had a fantastic day with my Grandchildren yesterday. :-D :-D :-D :-D Loads of activities for them with the theme based on 'Apples'. It was well organised . The grandchildren even managed to get an Apple Tree for their school garden. Their school is just a few hundred yards from Stirling Castle and the variety of the apple they got was named ' Stirling Castle'.....what a coincidence. A Magic Day.

My goodness this is a lonely place today. Where has everyone got to?

Stephen, I love listening to my grandchildrens laughter.
At christmas, when they were younger, I used to sit and wait expectantly, for their arrival in the evening.
Our christmas day never started till they got here.
The whole house looked a complete tip, with wrapping paper everywhere.
But the looks on their little faces opening their presents was worth a million pounds to me.
Now they are nearly all grown up, and things have changed.
At least we still have four little ones who believe in father christmas, so the delight will be with us a few years more.
I hope the wee ones enjoyed the "Apple Festival"

Still no news from Rita or Jean.
<3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 Sending you both loving thoughts. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

I hope all is well at Marilyns house, and that Pete is o.k today.

Huia, I love it when you say curvaceous, that describes me to a T. Except the curvy bits dropped off a few tears back.

Hi Yvonne good to see you.

Bye for now folks, take care of yourselves. Luv Mo

I like it, Stephen.

Mum used to tell about the boy in Sunday School, who, when they were asked to put up their hand if they want to go to heaven, he didnt put his up. When the teacher asked why he didnt want to go to heaven and he replied 'If that lot is going I dont want to go'.

Mo, I dont think I could do line dancing. I have never in my life had a pair of jeans and my lower legs are too curvaceous for boots (sounds better than saying fat). I do do some of the moves at home though.

A Wee Chuckle for the day

Two brothers were always getting into trouble in their neighbourhood.

The people in the neighbourhood started complaining to the parents about the boys.

So the boys parents decided to have their priest talk to the boys.

The priest asks to speak to the boys alone, requesting to see the youngest first.

The young boy comes in and sits at a large table across the room from the priest.

The priest looks at the boy, points at him and asks, "Where is God?"

The boy looks around the room and back at the priest and says nothing.

Again, the priest points at the boy and in a louder voice asks, "Where is God?"

The boy says nothing.

The priest walks around the table, pointing inches from the boy’s face and asks again, "Where is God?"

The boy jumps out of his chair and runs out the door

He runs right home, grabs his older brother and says to him,
"We are in BIG trouble!"

His brother replies, "We haven't done anything!"

The younger brother replies, "God's missing, and they think we did it!"

Screams of delight from the bathroom last night as the girls had their bath. It's lovely to hear the laughter of children. :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D I love tucking them in and reading a story to them. Today we are taking them to an 'Apple Festival' in a local Mansion House. Well I'll be darned Marilyn. Pete having the problems with the statins. It seems they are responsible for a lot of side affects, as both Pete and myself have found out, to our dissadvantage.
I took my first Atorvastatin last night, and was awake in the early hours with acid reflux, so it looks like these are not going to suit me either. I will give them one more chance tonight, and if I get the same reaction will be back at the doctors next week, looking for something different.
It's such a relief that Pete hadn't had a stroke though my love.

Stephen, I hope you and Mrs S, have a lovely evening with the lassies. Thats a daft thing to say really, as I know full well you will.
I am enjoying the morning chuckles as well I might add.

Huia, you would enjoy the line dancing far more than the belly dancing. You dont get so cold doing the former, even though you have to shake the body a lot more with the latter.
I loved my line dancing days, and wish I had the energy and memory to go back to it.

Still no news from Rita or Jean, this is becoming worrying now folks. Sending them both <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 Praying for you both. <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

Marilyn, I have had these hearing aids for about eighteen months I think. I was told she had gone as far as she could with them. I am not prepared to pay out more good money if I can not be guaranteed that they will work. These ones were expensive, and they are not very good at all. It has been so frustrating. I can sympathise greatly with my paternal grandmother. She had headphones with a gadget dangling round her neck, but I dont remember her having much to say when we visited, she probably couldnt really hear what people were saying. It can be so isolating.

GRMarilyn Report 6 Oct 2012 09:04

Good Morning ..

Pheeeeeeeeeew Yippeeeeeeeew,

All is well....NO mini Stroke....Thank god . We were at the hospital for 7hrs yesterday uggh !

Thanks you for thinking about my lovely Pete .

So its back to the Eye infirmary on Monday orders from the hospital Consultant ....but Pete has his own diagnostics....Statins !!
Ever since he started on them he's had tremendous cramp....so layed off of them for a few weeks then went back on them three days ago.....the muscles in his eyes HE thinks is now being affected by Statins .....so we will wait and see what the Eye Specialist reveals .
The last time he had floaters in his eye the Eye Hospital gave him a good examination and said his eyes were OK but will always have floaters due to cataracts operation's ......but this last three days hes has what he describes as a child's Kaleidoscope going around in both eyes .. :-S with dreadful headache .
So Yesterday they told him to stop the Satins intermediately until he's had his eyes checked AGAIN !! :-(

Oh well at at least we can go on holiday :-D

Huia.....Did yo know you could look into a BAHA hearing aid instead of a Cochlea Implant !
BAHA works on the bone behind the ear its consists of a little screw inserted and a little hearing device connected to the screw.......better to try that than a Cochlea aid gosh thats one big operation ...
Also go back to the hearing centre and see if there are more up to dates aids as they are here in the UK ....sounds like you need an updated one.

Its lovely and sunny today....so I'm relaxing
:-D

Stevey enjoy your grandchildren ,,,,they will wear you out mind :-0

A Wee Chuckle for the day

Cannibals capture three men.

The men are told that they will be skinned and eaten and then their skin will be used to make canoes.

Then they are each given a final request.

The first man asks to be killed as quickly and painlessly as possible.
His request is granted, and they poison him. Saving his skin for for their canoes

The second man asks for paper and a pen so that he can write a farewell letter to his family.
This request is granted, and after he writes his letter, they kill him saving his skin for their canoes.

Now it is the third man's turn. He asks for a fork
The cannibals are confused, but it is his final request, so they give him a fork.

As soon as he has the fork he begins stabbing himself all over and shouts,......... "To hell with your canoes!"
