Dermot Report 24 Oct 2012 22:18

A Pastor goes to the dentist for a set of false teeth. The first Sunday
after he gets his new teeth, he preaches for only eight minutes. The second
Sunday, he talks for only ten minutes.

The following Sunday, he speaks for 2 hours & 48 minutes. The congregation had to mob him to get him down from the pulpit and they asked him what happened.

The Pastor explains the first Sunday, his gums hurt so bad he couldn't
talk for more than 8 minutes. The second Sunday his gums still hurt too much
to go on for more than 10 minutes. But, the third Sunday, he put his
wife's teeth in by mistake and he couldn't shut up.

OK - I'm off. Good night, reader.

So will just add a smaller message for now.
Many thanks for the p.m Marilyn. Sorry to hear you have been unwell following your flu jab. I had the same problem, and yet Roly was fine.
Linda, bless little Sebastion, I hope he recovers quickly.

Oi Stephen, a zimmer frame indeed. Just remember, you will be the same age as me soon, and us young striplings don't need zimmer frames do we. LOL ;-)

Good evening young Foggy, how are you keeping?

Hi Marilyn, sorry to hear you have been ill, hope you are now feeling a little better.
I had my Flu jab on Monday but the nurse said it takes 2 weeks to become effective, so if I am in contact with flu for the next 2 weeks I could get it, maybe that is why you got it.
Take care of yourself, keep warm and have plenty of drinks.

Hello folks
Just back from my brothers. Lovely meal. Good seeing family, especially for my cousin.

Unfortunately Sebastian is still poorly and seems to have passed on the sickness to his Mummy. The other nanny is going to help out tomorrow as she didn't think it fair to ask us with being busy. I hope it will be short lived.

Wishing eveyone a good nights sleep

Dermot Report 23 Oct 2012 22:17

Just a thought.

Our world continues to be a place of seemingly insurmountable walls between peoples - walls & barriers of intolerance - erected by suspicion, prejudice & hatred.

Instead of coming together in co-operation & peace, it seems to be natural to our societies to split into factions, each with its own agenda. When economic hardship increases, patience seems to grow even thinner.

Intolerance, that ugly monster, has been part of human society throughout history. Sometimes, this ‘beast’ is content to lie deceptively still in the summer sun. To see it care for its young & tend its own kind, you would never guess its real disposition.

Let strangers beware, though. Intolerance sleeps with one eye open & one ear raised. Cross that line & you will meet the fury of the claw & fang. Personal intolerance brings shame on us.

Sleep peacefully with both eyes shut!

Oh what a lonely thread today.
I do hope everyone is o.k, maybe we are all hibernating in this weather, and haven't had time to get on here as we are snug by the fire.
What a rotten day it's been. When we went to darts last night, we had thick fog. I thought those days had long gone. Just as long as we don't get the smogs back, like in the 50's and 60's, ooooh yuk, we dont want then again.
Take care, stay warm. Luv Mo

It has been a lovely day here. quite warm and dry after the damp start, hope we have this for the rest of the week.

Hope you have all had a good day, whatever you have been doing.

Nothing from Rita and Pauline, do hope they are ok.

Mo, glad you had a lovely birthday.

Take care and stay safe.

Hello Linda, I do hope Sebastian is feeling better today, it is awful when a baby starts teething isn't it, they cant understand what ixxs wrong and why they are hurting, and sadly a hug from Mummy or Nanna cant make it better.
Hope you enjoy your visit to the gym.
Take care and stay safe.

Morning Stephen & Jean and all others joining later
Dark here this morning. never did improve yesterday. Did get Harley stuff for my cousin, so that was good.
Little Sebastian was poorly yesterday, starting a cold, teething, upset tummy, nothing in particular, just generally not himself. But he was still smiling.

Off to the gym soon. Got to keep trying

Have a good day everyone

A Wee Chuckle for the day

A lawyer opened the door of his BMW, when suddenly a car came along and hit the door, ripping it off completely.

When the police arrived at the scene, the lawyer was complaining bitterly about the damage to his precious BMW.

"Officer, look what they've done to my Beemer!" he whined.

"You lawyers are so materialistic, you make me sick!" retorted the officer,

"You're so worried about your stupid BMW, that you didn't even notice that your left arm was ripped off!"

"Oh my god", replied the lawyer, finally noticing the bloody left shoulder where his arm once was,

"Where's my Rolex!"
