Morning all
Dark here this morning. Was foggy yesterday. Will be even darker on Sunday evening when our clocks go back. Forecast on right now and they are saying COLD, snow possibly as low as Yorkshire.

Went through the tunnel to Calais yesterday, another first for my cousin. She seems to have enjoyed it. Got a bit of shopping over there, some foods are cheaper and some wines are better value too. Had a nice meal in Boulogne. BUT the weather was awful, thick fog, then windy and finally it cleared but it was not sunny nor warm as forecast.

Not much planned for today. She will need to start packing. Than one final meal out with our son and all his family and on the plane tomorrow afternoon and back to Canada after 4 whole weeks. I think she is missing her family now especially her 3 grandchildren. She will see a lot of changes in them the youngest is only 5 months.

A pregnant woman gets into a car accident and falls into a deep coma.

Asleep for nearly six months, she wakes up and sees that she is no longer pregnant.

Frantically, she asks the doctor about her baby.

The doctor replies, "Ma'am, you had twins! A boy and a girl. The babies are fine.

Your brother came in and named them."

The woman thinks to herself, "Oh no, not my brother -- he's an idiot!"

Expecting the worst, she asks the doctor, "Well, what's the girl's name?"

"Denise," the doctor says.

The new mother thinks, "Wow, that's not a bad name! Guess I was wrong about my brother. I like Denise!"

I'm now helping some friends with their tree at present, so it is keeping me very busy .....but a load of headaches as well ...LOL

It's good that you are feeling better today Marilyn. I think I spoke to soon about Roly yesterday. He is feeling a few side effects now.
He is doing a wee job as an escort on the special needs school coach, and doesn't want the young ones to catch any germs from him.
He does enjoy this little job, the children adore him. He is a real softy where children are concerned. I think this follows on from when we did fostering years ago, and also having our grandchildren around us so much, he can relate to them so easily.
Mind you, we are both big kids at heart. LOL With me being the bigger kid of the two of us.

It was the end of the school year, and a teacher was receiving gifts from her pupils.

The florist's son handed her a gift.
She shook it, held it overhead, and said, "I bet I know what it is. Flowers."
"That's right!" the boy said, "But, how did you know?"
"Oh, just a wild guess," she said.

The next pupil was the sweet shop owner's daughter.
The teacher held her gift overhead, shook it, and said, "I bet I can guess what it is. A box of sweets."
"That's right, but how did you know?" asked the girl.
"Oh, just a wild guess," said the teacher.

The next gift was from the son of the liquor storeowner.
The teacher held the package overhead, but it was leaking.
She touched a drop off the leakage with her finger and put it to her tongue.
"Is it wine?" she asked.
"No," the boy replied, with some excitement.
The teacher repeated the process, tasting a larger drop of the leakage.
"Is it champagne?" she asked.
"No," the boy replied, with more excitement.
The teacher took one more big taste before declaring, "I give up, what is it?"

With great glee, the boy replied, "It's a puppy!" SURPRISE!

Finished my joinery work at my friends house yesterday. It looks grand. Some nice hardwood and red pine. Magic.
