Thank you for my card Pauline. I hope you and your family are well.

My brother is still in hospital hopefully he will have his operation by the weekend? He was told a week last Friday and that he was 5th on the list.

Unfortunately Mum was admitted to hospital on Saturday too !!! Oh it never rains. She had a chest infection, now has a urine infection and is actually on the "stroke ward " only bed available.

One good thing I went to the gym again this morning and tonight at weght watchers I have lost another pound YIPPEE. No meeting for 2 weeks so I will have to be careful and try to walk a bit too.

Hope eveyone is OK and that Rita is getting better each day.

Booo Stephen, at least I am here, I don't know where all the others are though.

Pauline has tried to ring Rita, but has been unable to get an answer. It is ringing, but there is no answer. Maybe it is to quiet for her to hear, or perhaps her carers have turned it off.

Did you see that Shelly, she was here, then she vanished again. She like the Scarlet Pimpernel, we seek her here, we seek her there, we seek that Shelly everywhere, then she's gone, poof in a puff of smoke.
I bet she lit that ciggy, and vanished beneath the haze of smoke. lol

Never mind Maddie, the mad rush will soon be over, then you can relax a bit honey.

There is Christmas madness everywhere. Our shopping precinct was jam packed full today. And because it was free parking, the world and his wife were out buying the shops up, and parking was a nightmare. We did eventually find a space, thank goodness. All that for a loaf of bread, and some fresh rolls, daft innit.

Going to a singles’ bar, he spotted a woman whose beauty took his breath away.

I am jiggered I dont mind saying. We usually have temps to help us at Christmas time. But not this year.

We are all working more hours. I got a £10 Meal deal and slung that in the oven!

I am going to collapse on the settee in a mo, and watch a costume drama. I fear I may fall asleep before the end! lol

Evening Mo,

After I do my usual Voluntary work on Christmas Day the whole family head off to a local Castle for our Christmas Celebration Meal.

Yes the grandchildren , (and me) are getting all excited.

It's nice to hear from Maddie and Cath again. I wouldn't mind betting Maddie has been rushed of her feet at work. It's that time of year Maddie i'm afraid.

Cath, at this time of year, our trees should be easy to climb, but as you say, some of the branches seem to still have loads of leaves on them, even though it's winter and the leaves should have all dropped of by now.
I have given up on mine, after grandfather Roggemans changed his name so many times, and his parents names were not on the marriage certificate, it seemed a lost cause to me. Plus the place of birth being Antwerp, Belgium, I had no way of tracing his family.

Stephen, are you having the family coming to you for Christmas? I bet the wee ones are really getting excited now. I know my youngest two grandchildren are, the baby is still to young to realise whats occuring, and the eldest ones, well, what they want is far beyond our pockets, so they will be getting money, and can save up the rest themselves.
Lets face it, if they want a game for their games console, they cost at least £40.00, and with twelve grandchildren and one and a bit great grandchildren it works out to expensive. lol

It's been a really mild day here today, the skies were a clear blue, wonderful.
