A Wee Chuckle for the day

There once was an old man who was about to die.

He told his wife to put a bag of money in the attic

"When I die I'll get it on my way up." chuckled the old man.

Well when the old man died the wife went up to the attic and found that the bag of money was still there.

"I knew I should have put that money in the cellar!" said the old woman.

I will be thinking of you, and your brother tomorrow Linda. It will be such a relief for you all, when it's over and done with.
Don't the hospitals leave water jugs by the patients beds anymore Linda. Perhaps Mum didn't realise she was needing a drink. But it's shocking that they are not checking her water jug to see how much she has consumed each day.
I daresay, if they bring tea around the ward she would have had a cuppa, but they dont seem to do that very often do they.

Ooops I nearly missed our Stephen and Foggy. Hellooo to you both.

A wee bit shocking about your Mum......missing out on basic nursing attention.

Hello Mo ,

Ok ! I'll leave a Night Light on tonight in case any nighthawks drop in.

Having a Christmas Meal out means we have time for other things. I'm very busy in the early part of the day so I wouldn't be around to help.

The Castle staff do us proud and we have great fun.

It's a crazy time of the year and although I enjoy it I'm glad when things return to normal..

Catch you tomorrow.

Oh my god!!! shock horror, Shelly's been back to see us, and she's not smoked since the 1st of October, isn't she a good girl.
Well done Shelly, I'm very proud of you......as I slink away, and hide my head in shame. Yes I know, I am very weak willed, and I can't blame it all on stress, but it's an addiction, a very nasty addiction.

Jeni, I hope Chris enjoyed his birthday. I bet Scarlett is getting very excited now, with Christmas just around the corner.
It's good to hear that the dreaded C has not grown. Hopefully the next scan will show it to be decreasing love.
Take it easy and don't overdo things please.

Linda, I am sorry to hear that your mum is in hospital now. It never rains but it pours.
But fingers crossed, they will whip your brother down to theatre before the weekend.
The only problem with that, is that he will still be heavily sedated over christmas, but be on the road to recovery as well.
Well done on the weight loss Linda.

I forgot that you and the family go up to the Castle for your Xmas meal Stephen. As soon as you mentioned it, I remembered.
Have you had anymore snow up in Scotland?
Thanks for putting the lights out last night, but poor ol Shelly walked into the door with them being out. Can you just leave a little night light on for her, just in case Shelly and Marilyn decide to have a midnight chat, as they used to do.

Got to go now, see you tomorrow. Mo

Hello friendlies, hope you all had a restful night.

Still dark here but at least it is dry, just let my cat, Max, out for his morning walk, he will only be out for about an hour, then he will be in and asleep, he is 19 years old now and sleeps a lot.

Linda, sorry to hear about your Mum, hope she is soon feeling better, and hope your brother's operation goes ok and he will soon be feeling fit again.

Stephen, hope your shopping trip went well and you got everything you was looking for.

Scarlett has just gone to waken Daddy with a birthday card and present, which no doubt she will want to open as well. My son Chris is 30 today, where have all the years gone?

Wonder how Rita is this morning, at least she is now getting the care she needs now, hope she will soon be feeling much better.

Had my monthly scan last Friday, cancer still there, but at least it hasn't grown.

Hope you all have a good day, take care and stay safe.
Jean xx

A Wee Chuckle for the day.

A Doctor was addressing a large audience in Glasgow..

''The material we put into our stomachs is enough to have killed most of us
sitting here, years ago.

Red meat is awful. Soft drinks corrode your stomach lining..

Chinese food is loaded with MSG.

High fat diets can be disastrous, and none of us realises the long-term harm caused by thegerms in our drinking water.

However, there is one thing that is the most dangerous of all and we all have eaten, or will eat it.

Can anyone here tell me what food it is that causes the most grief and suffering
for years after eating it?'

After several seconds of quiet, a 75-year-old man in the front row raised his hand, and softly said,

'Wedding Cake.'
