Evening Folks,
It has poured all day , some fairly torrential showers. :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P
Funeral Directors Address
Woking Funeral Services, 119-121, Goldsworth Road, Woking, Surrey, GU21 6LR.
We could send the donantions to them marked for the attention of Ritas son, John.
I'll give them a call tomorrow to see if that would be ok.
Does that suit folks ?

Hi Mo....
I think its best that we send donations ourselves to Funeral Director when we get the address .We can always send donations after the funeral its quite acceptable.
I would have nominated myself for a collection but ,I'm away this Saturday 5th....... sailing on Sunday 6th...
Don't you worry about it Mo.....we all have a lot on our plates at present .
Thats the easiest way ,so we can all please ourselves when to send..
Dont forget as soon as you hear from John about the Address let me know please
Dear Old Rita.... I wish we could have sent her Flowers when she was alive ,but we didn't know she was about to die did we ....?
Thanks Mo for all your efforts..
Marilyn xx

Hi folks, I have sent a message to Rita's son John, re they would like a donation to Cancer, or flowers. John is going to ask his sister what they want to do. I am hoping that he will be in contact with me as soon as possible. I dont have his home address or phone number unfortunately. If it's donations, I am hoping we can send them direct to the funeral directors, or to John himself. Unless one of you would like to undertake the collection of any funds in Rita's memory. Stephen has asked me to do it, but with looking after Lilly most days, I wont have the time, and we need to organise something pretty quick, as it's New Years eve tomorrow.
Have a great break away Stephen.

Morning Folks,
Dull , damp and miserable.......and the weathers not very good either :-P :-P :-P
Marilyn,....So sorry to read that you've been unwell. I hope you are on the mend now..........I think you need a holiday ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Rita.......I've sent info to Mo that I received regarding folk on GR making a donation for flowers or to a Cancer Charity..
I wont be around as from New Years Day. I'm heading off for a few days R&R with the family so wont be in a position to handle any emails etc.regarding this.
It would be nice if we did something, my own thoughts are a donation to Cancer Research UK.. But I'll go with the majority if they think otherwise.
It could be that donations are sent direct to Cancer Research UK or to John, Ritas son, so that he can forward them on.
Any suggestions ?
Have a good day ya all.
Keep well , keep safe , keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Marilyn, I don't know wether Rita's family have really thought about donations towards charity in her name. Tomorrow I will send a message to John, asking if the family would like us to make a donation, instead of flowers, but he definately said about floral tributes. We know how much Rita loved flowers, because of her mentioning them quite often on here. It's such a shame they dont send flowers to the hospital etc, as they used to do years ago.
I am sorry to hear that you have been so unwell over the xmas period. Nearly everyone I have spoken to, have had illness in the family this year. My poor friend has got that bad bug thats doing the rounds, and closing many hospital wards. So we have given her a wide berth, and I feel quite guilty about it,but we deffo don't want it, especially having the little one here so often.
I will let you know as soon as I hear from John. Luv Mo

Hi All,
Well I have come back home not had a very good Christmas !! I was in bed most of the time with bronchitis my sons doctor friend gave me some Antibiotics with Penicillin , how lucky was that........ I came back on Thursday evening still ill .....but I had to get home as I was not getting any better, I went straight to bed and have just got up !!! feeling a little weak. I'm just hoping that I will get better before I go away again. :-(
Mo......I'm glad you have heard from John.......now I was just wondering if Rita maybe requested donations towards Cancer Research I do know that although Flowers are such wonderful & cheerful at funeral's they do get destroyed after 2days at a Crematorium.....so I would gladly send a donation , as Rita had so many of her family with that horrible decease.
Anyway that's just my decision ... :-(
I was so surprised at all the Christmas cards I received from my lovely friends on friendly .....thank you very much, perhaps next Year I'll have more time to send more back & for give Royal Mail for their price of stamps !! I can afford it ,it was just that I normally send at least 70 cards and I just wanted to prove to Royal Mail they cant have it all there way....I now have to send loads of E-Mails instead :-) I did notice that most of my friends hand delivered this year ....that was good to see.
I'm now going to read all threads now .......... :-)

Hello everyone, hope you had a good Christmas.
Stephen, I agree with you, I prefer it frosty rather than wet, it is dull and damp here this morning so my hopes of getting something done in the garden have been changed.
Has anyone visited the sales yet? if you have did you get any bargains?
I spent yesterday re-arranging furniture to make room for Scarletts new toys, today I am going to do as little as possible.
Have been thinking about Rita's family, I dont suppose Christmas was such a good time for them.
Has anyone made any New Year resolutions?
Hopr you have a good day, Take care and stay safe. Jean xx :-) :-) :-)

A Wee Chuckle for the day
One day an employee came in to work with both of his ears bandaged.
When his boss asked him what happened, he explained:
"Yesterday I was ironing a shirt when the phone rang and I accidentally answered the iron instead of the phone!"
"Well," the boss said, "that explains one ear, but what about the other?"
"They called back!"

I do believe you are right Stephen. Everyone seems to have hibernated, or perhaps they are bailing the water out, after all the rain we have had.
Lets at least hope that the weather is kinder to us on New Years eve. It's bad enough having to cover ourselves in winter coats, and hats, when we are dressed up to the nines, ready to go out and celebrate. But if it's raining or snowing, it makes you feel like not moving out of the house, but staying in by the fire in the warm.

Hello folks, I hope you have all had an enjoyable time over the christmas period.
Thank goodness it's over for another year. Time to let the stomach relax, and get back to normal. I don't want to eat meat for days and days now, I am sick and tired of it.
We are still munching through the chocolates though, ooh can't get enough of them.
Linda, it's great to know that your brother is home now. There may be days when he is depressed, and imagine different things that could be going wrong, but this is normal. If your SIL gets worried she can no doubt ring the hospital, and they will talk her through any worries. He will definately have to rest though love.
Whats the weather forecast then Stephen. Will you and your lovely wife be able to have a small break away? Are you going to the Castle for New Years eve this year?
Bye for now peeps, see you soon. Mo
