I will take my computer in to the IT man on Wed morning (it is now Mon evening).
Stephen, Ed Hillary did some of his training in these hills (Hunua Hills) of ours. He and his brother kept beehives here I understand. The family were beekeepers in Tuakau, not far from here.

What a wasted day , I have down two things today , nothing and sod all. :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P No doubt I'll pay for it later.
Linda, You really should take care if you are having these bouts of Vertigo. No point in trying to help out if it makes you ill.

Shelly, get yer bum in gear and get to the dentists and get that tooth sorted out matey. Apart from childbirth and ear ache there is nothing worse than toothache.
Well we have had dustings of snow on and off all day, how I hope the darned stuff don't lay over night. The clouds look full of something, I am hoping it's not the dreaded white stuff. So if it lays here, watch out Linda coz I will send a bucketfull down the cyber hatch to you ;-) ;-) ;-) Leave all the decorating to your OH in the future, you can't keep getting these bouts of vetigo love.
Stephen, I hope you will get Mrs S, more than just walking socks, as her feet will get very cold with no boots to go with the socks, poor girl. :-D :-D :-D
I wonder what Island Marilyn is going to be visiting next. I have visions of her every evening, sitting on deck with a G+T in her hand, basking in the cool evening air, waiting for the sun to set on the horizon. ( Am I green with envy, no, but then I am a little fibber at times.)
Huia. I hope your IT man can sort your problems out quickly for you, as I know how you will miss not being able to get online.
Bye for now folks. Mo

Morning all Clear here so far Please let it stay away down south. Really don't like snow and have lots to do over the next few days. Still getting to the gym. No more decorating for me. It started the vertigo again. Had to see the consultant urgently. I got an appointment NEXT day. Really good service. He did some maenouvers with my head and I feel much better so far. Went to see a friend yesterday who has Bells Palsy. It is not nice, poor lady is in a lot of pain in the eye. But having had steroids and antiviral meds it's just a case of waiting now. Have a nice day everyone. Stephen stay in the warm and hope you have no need to venture out.

A Wee Chuckle for the day
A man wrote a letter to the Tax Collectors
“I have been unable to sleep knowing that I have cheated on my Income Tax.
''I understated my Taxable Iincome and have enclosed a cheque for £200.00.''
If I still can’t sleep, I will send the rest.”

Morning Folks,
It's trying hard to snow just now, I should have kept my big mouth shut. :-P :-P :-P
Shelly, Toothache.......drink a few big glasses of whisky. It dosen't cure the toothache.....it just makes you forget you have it. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Huia, That was a grand walk you did and the photos were great. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)I'd love to come to New Zealand and walk in the 'Alps'. Edmund Hillary did his training there before climbing Mount Everest.
Don't think I'll be going far from the house today as it's not very pleasant outside..
Have a good day ya all !
Keep well , keep safe , keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

I might be missing for a few days, Stephen. My computer has become extremely slow, and sometimes programmes fail to respond. I had great difficulty uploading (or is it downloading?) my recent photos to the computer. I also keep getting suggestions to update my apple thingies, but I am on MSN, and this morning when I tried to connect to the internet it was an apple thing that wanted to connect. I will be talking to my IT man in the morning.

Evening All !
Had a grand wee walk today, just a few miles but it blew off the cobwebs.
I'll let Lady Stephen know about her surprise holiday about two days before we go.
Mo, It shouldn't be very cold although below freezing overnight is fairly normal in spring. There should still be enough snow around to make good walking on the tops.
Pauline.....new wardrobe....no chance... anyway she doesn't bother too much about having loads of clothes....perhaps a couple of pair of walking socks will be needed.. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)
Think we'll need to 'recruit' a few new members on to our Friendly Thread. We're becoming 'The Few' rapidly :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-( :-(
Catch you tomorrow folks.

Pauline, it's strange but programmes that Rita used to like are now back on the t.v. "Call the Midwife" was one that she really liked, and when I watch it, I automatically think of her. It's so sad.
We have been very lucky so far, no snow YET, but it's bound to come sooner or later. Mind you it's bitterly cold outside, I am so glad not to have to go out tonight.
I bet Mrs Stephen will be chuffed to fluffy balls about your holiday Stephen. Excuse my ignorance, but will it be very cold in Poland when you go.
Stay safe and warm everyone.

Evening everyone.
I couldn't stop thinking of Rita yesterday, seems strange that we won't see her post again. So sad. :-( :-( :-(
Stephen, when are you going to tell your wife about the holiday? You'll be in her good books but make sure you give her plenty of time to buy herself a new wardrobe. :-) :-) :-)
I'll go and have a look for Mo's thread. <3

A Wee Chuckle for the day.
An elderly gentleman had serious hearing problems for a number of years.
He went to the doctor and the doctor was able to have him fitted for a set of hearing aids that allowed the gentleman to hear 100%.
The elderly gentleman went back in a month to the doctor and the doctor said,
"Your hearing is perfect. Your family must be really pleased you can hear again."
To which the gentleman said,
"Oh, I haven't told my family yet. I just sit around and listen to the conversations'.
'I've changed my Will five times!"

Morning Folks,
Temperature is well down this morning -3C. Hard frost. The sky is very overcast with low cloud. Hope it clears.
Mo.....Thanks for opening a 'Thank You' Thread for Rita. We'll need to keep nudging it up for a few days so that everyone sees it.
I've booked a surprise holiday for Lady Stephen and I for Easter. We're heading for the Tatra Mountains in the South of Poland. We leave on 1st April for a week. Should get some nice walking done and a wee bit of Family History research as well. My BIL came from Zacopane where we will be staying.
Hope all the Friendly Folk are well.
Have a good day ya all !

Hi everyone, I have started a thread of thanks from Rita's son and daughter Rita. John did ask me to do it, as he didn't think he could get into Rita's computer without her password.
I spent a quiet time at 2.00p.m this afternoon, thinking of Rita as she was laid to rest. God bless you Rita <3 <3 <3
