Sitting here with one of my wee grand-daughters, she's an early riser like me.

We had a wander round the Loch at Stirling University yesterday and fed the ducks , swans and seagulls.Then into the Halls for a scout about and letting them see a bit of Student life followed by tea in the refectory. Both of them remarked that they would love to go to University.........hope they manage it.

Today we are heading for Stirling Castle where there are events for children to celebrate the life of Robert Burns. Looking forward to that.

My daughter had her Annual Burns Supper last night , she uses it to raise funds for Charity. This year the charity is Brain Cancer Research. Her friend died earlier this year from a brain tumour. Hope she did well and emptied a few pockets. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Thanks Stephen, it is surprising how one piece of good news can change your outlook on life. I felt very sad though that Rita couldn't have been as lucky as me.

That's great news.

Must be a really nice feeling knowing that you don't need any more treatment.

Well the rain has cleared our snow, and it doesn't feel too cold now, maybe the worst is over.

Is everyone out shopping? no one been on since early this morning.

Dont have to have any more chemo, just a scan every 4 weeks, fingers crossed it stays that way.

Morning Jean and everyone,

O.h. has just gone off to work in the car again, he will be putting on weight if he isn't able to cycle soon, it's snowing again - well, light sleety stuff and not laying much. Will be really glad to see the back of it and be able to have the car again to catch up on my errands.

Neighbours have just gone off to Austria for a week, they don't ski, just enjoy the walks and the company they meet. I think it's a coach trip, don't think they fly there, but it's a regular trip now they are both retired.

Must catch up with some emails, take care all of you and stay warm and safe

Marilyn, enjoy the warm weather while you can, according to the forecast here we are in for a few weeks of cold, snow forecast again for today here.

Stephen, I dont know if I will replace my vardo, there are some very nice ones for sale, or I could buy a base and have one built, there is a very nice Romany man who will build to order, he does some beautiful work, but as you say it wouldn't be quite the same, the one I had was my Great Grandmothers, the one I was born in.
Dont know if I would have the courage, after the incident last year to travel the roads again alone.

Liz, nice to see you on here. Yes.....a little card with info on it can help a great deal.. It's getting folk to use them that's difficult.

Jean , Will you replace your Vardo that was destroyed ?I know they can be VERY expensive. Nothing will ever have the same feeling about it though. That was your link to your Heritage wasn't it.

Sorry your poor Dad had such problems, he will have to learn to speak up for himself and sod the embarrassment, or maybe someone could type him a card to explain so he can just show it, laminate it so he can use it over and over. There are cards you can get, I think, that tell establishments you have ibs or other problems that necessitate the use of a loo, meaning you can go in restaurants, cafes etc to use their loos without using other facilities so it would be like that. Mind you, my o.h. just makes it an excuse to have a guiness while I have to dash for the loo, or if he needs a dash, he will stop and have a drink after! The times he has left me shopping or whatever as he 'must go' and comes back smelling of guiness!

Flippin' cold here but snow is melting thank heavens, take care everyone, I am still staying put till this road has thawed, no pavements but ruts from car tracks which are still frozen, and I don't want to end up on my rear!
