Mo in Kent

Mo in Kent Report 16 Mar 2013 14:56

Shelly, I don't blame you for saying no to your son. Our Lilly was two in January, and they don't put her to bed till she falls asleep downstairs, and she still wakes up during the night.
They know not to ask us to baby sit over night for them, as the answer would always be no.
You have probably said the same to your son, as we said to ours, babies need a routine, and should be in bed by a set time.
I dread to think whats going to happen when our little one goes to school, are they still going to allow her to stay up late then I wonder.
Even my great grandchildren are in bed at decent hours, but not Lilly.

Stephen, I hope the duck feeding went well, for you and the wee ones. Wee uns love feeding animals, as Jeni (Jean) will no doubt agree, especially as her grandaughter loves to feed their horses.

Not a very nice day here in Kent. Rain and wind keeping everyone at home.
Hope you are all well. Still no news from Marilyn, I hope she is o.k.

Morning Folks,

Frosty start tis morning, will probably 'warm' up later. :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-)

Well done Shelly.......it's hard work with a young child. Too often Grandparents are run ragged looking after the Grandchildren. It should be a pleasure not a chore.

We are taking our two Grandchildren out to feed the ducks today. We have a great time with them. Have them back home in time for tea .It's a pleasure....not a chore.....

Slowly picking up health wise. It's been a real pain in the backside feeling like I do. :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P

Have a good day ya all !

Keep well , keep safe , keep smiling :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D :-D

Sorry to hear you are still not up to par Stephen. The break away with Mrs Stephen will do you good, the change of air etc.

Linda, don't worry about not losing weight love, you are still in recovery from that nasty virus. It takes such a long time for it to clear our systems doesn't it.

Has anyone heard from Marilyn? I do hope she is still on the mend.

Has anyone got anything special planned for the weekend?
We hope to visit Lilly and her big brother and sister tomorrow. ( Fingers crossed the snow keeps away, or we wont be going anywhere)

Bye for now folks, take care. Mo

Morning all
Stephen sorry you still feel rough. It's a nasty bug this year. We are just getting better though still suffer coughing fits every now and then.
Weather dull here this morning. Rain again.
Been to the gym, weight staying still, no change, but 4 weeks sick hasn't helped when we didn't go at all. Been knitting again. Squares this time being collected together to make into blankets for a hospice and the elderly needy. Keeps my hands busy and stops me from snacking LOL

Enjoy your day everyone

Senior Moment......

Did I tell you that Lady Stephen was given her 'surprise' on Mothers Day ,.

She now knows she's going to the Tatra Mountains in April. I'll let her visit a couple of shops in Krakow as well......only if she behaves herself. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

A Wee Chuckle for the day

A doctor examining a woman who had been rushed to the Emergency Room, took the husband aside, and said,.....

"I don't like the looks of your wife at all.''

"Me neither doc," said the husband.

"But she's a great cook and really good with the kids."

Dull and miserable.........the weather is not so good either. :-P :-P :-P :-P :-P

Feeling a wee bit better this morning. Lady Stephen remarked last night that she had never known me to be so ill before. Must admit I don't either. It's been pretty hard going on a day to day basis. No cure.... just got to grin and bear it. ;-) ;-) ;-) ;-)

A Wee Chuckle for the day

A man moved to a mountain top to get rid of the hustle and be alone.

One day he heard a knock at the door and no one was there but then he looked down and there sat a snail and it said "it is quite cold out here can I come in?"

The man shouted "NO why don’t you all understand I want to be alone!" and he kicked the snail down the mountain.

One year later there was a knock at the door and no one was there and then he looked down and there again sat the snail and it said, ..........

"What did you do that for?"

Morning all, at last I have been allowed to join this thread, for 5 days I have been getting the 'Error message', but GR said there isn't a problem. I managed to get on this morning by pressing the post date so I haven't yet seen all the posts since I was on last.

Stephen and Matilyn, I do hope you are feeling better now, I think the 'winter' bug has affected a lot of us, and it doesn't seem to go away quickly.

We have had a couple of nice sunny days but very cold. we have also had snow, but that has gone now. The long range forecast has said we could have snow at Easter, so anyone planning to go away take your winter woollies.

Off to see to my horses after a hot cuppa, (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? (_)? tea or coffee for anyone who wants one.

Take care and stay safe and warm.
Jean xx

Hi folks,
Marilyn, I agree with you about the duvet. It costs about £12.00 to get one king size quilt done in the launderette here, mind you that is washing and drying, so yes it is cheaper to buy new ones.

Come on Stephen, shake that virus sweetie, it's taken it's toll on you hasn't it, bless you. Keep your chin up.

Linda, how old is young Joshua now? I hope the snow does keep away. so that you can have your cuddles with him.

SHELLY!!!!! good grief, I thought you had gone and left us flower. Come back and chat as soon as you can purleeze.

See ya later peeps.

My two new Rose bushes will have to wait until the weather gets warmer .

Going out shopping this afternoon for collection.... bought a King size duvet on line from Tesc@'s only £9 not worth cleaning the old one .....just plonk a new one on ..LOL

Evening
Brighter today but still bitterly cold. Been very windy too yesterday as well. Seem to have ended up with all the neighbours leaves !!! Not going in the cold to clear them though.
Still knitting, so cold can't get motivated to do much else.
Went to the gym yesterday the first time in over 4 weeks. Weight stayed the same at Weight Watchers, disappointing but at least no gain.
Joshua and his Mum are coming Thursday, so hope we stay clear of the white stuff. Really don't like it.

Sleep well and will try to add in the morning
